Huh!?!

Did you mean Howard?

WTF - you can’t mess that one up!! Talk about disrespect to The Rams starting ROLB/DE.

Last season at this time I didn’t think much of Hollins. In 2020 I thought he was just a fill guy with not much passion.

In training camp last year he proved he deserved to be a starter. He had his shoulder/chest injury before SJD69.If he doesn’t get hurt,Von Miller would never had been a Ram.

I’m saying this because IMO Hollins is set to have a breakout season. I watched him go up against Noteboom & Whitworth getting to Stafford. He took on a little bit of Ownership or Leadership during team live drills.

I ate a little crow last season,so I’m back on the positive right now. It’s like judging a chicken before it hatches.First impressions don’t always tell the truth either.

It's the 6-5/250 pound Justin Hollins's time to ensure his 2020 starting OLB'er post again like last early season without the injury which occurred on September 26, 2021, placed on the injured reserve. JH will be entering his critical 4th season under contract with a team who needs a starting good bookend OLB'er JH will be a Free Agent/UFA in 8 months.

But it should be stated
JH did have a very good start in those 3 games opposite Floyd who was also suffering from an ankle injury. The fact is JH did perform in the OLB Floyd post many snaps. JH can play the DL in a 3-point DE post, Both outside & inside LB'er positions. This carries big significance for a roster spot.

As I stated
JH since being drafted in the 5th round in Denver has been playing multiple posts in the front seven of the defense demonstrating his versatility & smart understanding of the mental aspects of the game. JH has never been a real starter in the past 3 seasons. JH did start 3 gms @ OLB'er for DC Morris early in 2020 and played less than 50% of the defensive snaps from that OLB'er post, then it went downhill from there for him ending with surgery to his chest (pectoral). JH Returned from IR to action in gm#14 and played sparingly & a shell of what he was when the season opened, fact is he played mostly @ MLB post in relief of Jones & Reeder in passing downs. This is what JH did in Denver before he was waived.

Might want to recall highly positioned starting OLB'er Og Okoronkwo opened last season on the IR too for the first 5 weeks of the 2021 season thus giving JH an opening to be the starter. The biggest announcement just before the 2021 regular season started was the broadcast news that OLB Terrell Lewis had practiced in the pre-season.:wow2::not::eyeroll::yawn::hope:.

TL did manage to start 4 straight games for the injured Okoronkwo/ Hollins before he vanished after 11th gm never to see the field again in 2021:injury::violin::cautious:. To cap off the negative news from the opening regular season @ OLB'er was rookie OLB Chris Garrett was placed on the IR too.

Snead did use a 7th rd selection to bring in 3-4 rush linebacker Daniel Hardy who looks very similar to what Chris Garrett was early in the preseason. Who by the way also vanished never to see the field. Snead signed 3 UDFA's Keir Thomas, Brayden Thomas & Benton Whitley. To go with Floyd/ Hollins/ Garrett/ lewis.

Sure. Those are just short of Morgan Fox type stats!!
Well we aren’t going to get anything else unless we trade for someone. I’m sure our FO isn’t going to trust having the walking glass man Terrell Lewis as our sole backup/rotation guy all year.

Yeah but Houston didn't get to play with Donald either. At this rate though, he's more of a situational pass rusher so I'd be fine if they did or didn't add him.

I would certainly agree with you on TL.

I have posted many times that if the OLB'er injury jinx continues DC morris might just shift to the much healthier & talented overstocked large DL cadre unit managed by DL coach Henderson to run a majority of a 4 man Defensive line Front. Thus making all the questions & concerns ongoing @ 34 OLB'ers lessen.

DC Morris did use a lot of 4 player DL snaps last season but he over-utilized fewer DL'ers going with only two & heavy usage of two OLB'ers. That did not help with all the ER injuries @ all. That needs to be changed.

Moving to the standard defense Bobby Wagner ran all his all-pro seasons in Seattle. Playing 3 inside LB'ers of MLB Wagner/ SSOLB Jones/ WSOLB Howard backed up by Taylor Rapp, Christian Rozeboom, Jake Hummel & Anthony Hines.

Sounds like Robert Quinn wants out of Chicago

I wish we could afford him.

I have a feeling that Morris learned a lot last year, you could see some of the stars frustration in that losing streak last year and an adjustMent after that last game in the loss streak.
