I don't want to see the Eagles get him.

Can't see Rams making a deal for. Would like him in horns but, not going to happen.

Eagles only have $6M in cap space for next year, but opened up $40 this year by redoing a bunch of contracts.

They have 18M still available, but I am sure they want to roll it into next year's cap. So the question is do they destroy next year's cap and give up assets, by going for it this year with Clowney?

They don't have a lot of contracts to rework anymore or players to cut to save cap room They have already mortgaged some of their future.

For example if they cut the 35 yr old Kelcie next year, they take a big cap hit because they reworked his deal a few times pushing more guaranteed bonus money into the future. They have done that with a number of players.

Clowney has placed a higher value on himself than makes sense. The Dolphins have a lower value on himself than makes sense, or perhaps have a higher value on Tunsill than makes sense (two high draft picks plus a year of Clowney for a year of Tunsil?)

I don't think Clowney will be playing - at least at the beginning of the season.

Let's hope you are both right. I don't want a Clowney trade to upset the balance in the league. I haven't heard much on Clowney here locally which i good. However, google link here for the Hags moving on Clowney.

That would not be good for the Rams either.

Supposedly Seattle is deep into talks for Clowney per NFL Network. They have cap space to absorb his contract straight up, but would likely be parting with some high draft picks to bring him on board.

Speculation, but guessing negotiating will START at a first and third unless Seattle wants to toss in Wright. Guessing it would end up as Clowney only and closer to a first only or a second and fourth.

Could disrupt the early part of their season. I doubt he will come me in as physically ready as Donald has the last two years from his holdout and even Donald was quiet in his first few games.

Clowney isnt in Donalds post code. Hes never had more than 10 sacks in a season and hes always injured! I'm not remotely worried.

Would have preferred Clowney went elsewhere

Wonder if one of the “two players” is a RB, I would think so

Not like Seattle is the place to get OL help. The shitbirds did the exact same thing last year with Frank Clark, and the Texans are the stupid organization?
Didn't say Seattle wasn't also. But yes Houston is a shit show. No GM is just the least of their issues.

That's impressive 3 of the top 7 most sacks given up. Way to protect your franchise.

Barkevious Mingo, Jacob Martin and a 3rd.

That's so one sided and that's coming from someone who really doesn't rate Clowney.

The Texans need a fucking GM.

IMO he's one of the most over rated players in the NFL. One 12tard tried to say "we got our own Aaron Donald now". A guy who can't stay healthy and has 29 career sacks? Yeah good luck with that.
