Clowney isnt in Donalds post code. Hes never had more than 10 sacks in a season and hes always injured! I'm not remotely worried.

Umm.... Never even hinted that.

Just said even Donald was a little slow out of the block after holdouts so Clowney certainly should be.

Is it me??

$hitty return for the Texans. Seeing the Shehawks get a player of his stature for so cheap is beyond aggravating. So pi$$ed.

He must be determined to hit the market.

Didn't say Seattle wasn't also. But yes Houston is a crap show. No GM is just the least of their issues.

That's impressive 3 of the top 7 most sacks given up. Way to protect your franchise.

I was referring to that dude on twitter. But I don't agree it's a total shit show. Not like JC changed the Texans' defense like AD does, or hell even Robert Quinn during his heyday.

They are attempting to fix the OL. But they have missed almost every time they selected one. Maybe that's why they don't have a GM????

Everyone in town is whining about Matt Kalil. Dude is a stop gap until Tytus Howard gets up to speed.

Don't forget we revived Dante Fowler and Clowney has a lot more than DF. Time for the season to start. Lets Go!

Super Bowl Contending Team with Clowney ~ 710 ESPN Seattle

Holy excrement

If you think Clowney is "elite" like some have said yes it's a heist. If he's just a good OLB that's overpaid on the franchise tag? It's a very good deal for Seattle.

Look at it this way. Seattle used up 16M of cap space that they could have rolled over to next year to sign a big FA. So he does cost him that player that they could have targeted and they may only have him for one year.

I just heard on 710 eSPN Seattle, that it’ a no lose situation for the Hawks. Because of their giving up a 3rd round pick for him, they supposedly get a 3rd round compensatory pick if he walks next year. They were going to cut one of the two players in the trade. Seattle raped the Texans, IMO.

It's a one year rental for the Seahawks. If he plays to his potential, Clowney will want to a contract surpassing Mack. If he doesn't then the Seahawks just gambled away a third round pick.

If he goes free agent, then what comp pick they get will depend on the contract he signs. If he has a good enough year to sign a top contract, then they might get a third back.

But yes, it's a good trade for Seattle. Clowney is a bit overrated because of where he was drafted, but he's still a fine player when healthy. Not a huge star on the field, but very good. If he stays healthy, he will help them.
