I think the biggest issue is not at OLB it is the uncertainty in the middle of the OL. We all saw what the Pats did to us in the SB it was not the defense. Not to mention that the Defense imo is better, but the OL isn't.
Patriots and Bears exposed our Center position last year, so the Rams made a change to a young player they saw all season long in practice and in some limited snaps in games. They fixed the problem at Center.
Saffold left in FA as the Rams anticipated, and they implemented their plan to replace him in-house the way many top teams do. With a guy they also saw in practice all season long and in limited game snaps. They filled the hole that FA opened up at LG.
RG is the sole remaining problem area for the Rams, with a guy (Blythe) who was manhandled at times by the more physical DL. But the Rams drafted two OT types who are capable of sliding inside and who also bring upside. Edwards would be the guy they move in there IMO, and would no doubt in my mind provide solid play with weekly improvement.
I have zero concerns with our starting OL for that reason. My only concern with the OL is the depth, where we are an injury away from a very shaky Center situation, particularly in the early going when Neary is suspended. But if that happens I would think the Rams will bring in Sully, so that might be why they are less concerned.
