I can't imagine McVay letting Woods go for much of anything. Too much invested in terms of experience in playing out the nuances, all the nuanced understanding he has at this point, the experienced chemistry with Goff, etc.

Reports: Miami interested in Jadeveon Clowney, who prefers Seahawks or Eagles
The Texans can’t trade pass-rusher Jadeveon Clowney until he signs his franchise tender. Texans coach Bill O’Brien said Saturday night “the ball’s in his court.”
Clowney recently fired his agent, so maybe the ball will start rolling.
The question is: Where?
The Texans seem intent on moving Clowney, but no team can sign him to an extension until after the regular season ends, complicating things.
The Dolphins are “very interested” in a trade for Clowney, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports. The Texans presumably would want Laremy Tunsil, and a report three days ago said the Dolphins were telling other teams the offensive tackle isn’t going anywhere.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL, Clowney already has met in person with Dolphins coach Brian Flores and members of the front office.
Clowney prefers to play for the Seahawks or the Eagles, per Wilson, and as an unsigned player, Clowney could chose to continue holding out rather than go to a team not of his liking.
So stay tuned to the continuing saga of Jadeveon Clowney.
Oh crap, you beat me to it. I should have scrolled through the thread first.
Honestly, all kidding aside. I do not want to disrupt our roster. I think we will bring the edge pressure better this year with a more seasoned Fowler, Matthews and even some Obo
Here's a package that could work: Fowler and Josh Reynolds (plus a late round pick). Fowler and clowney are both on 1 year deals. Clowneys salary is $15.9m Fowler and JR come to $12.8m. this would eat up about half our remaining cap space.
We get a lot better on D but lose depth where we always need it at WR. I think it would only be worth it if it was necessary to keep clowney out of Seattle.
I may be wrong but Clowney does not seem consistent. I remember him playing against the Rams 2 years ago where he started out on a tear but he seemed to wilt as the game progressed and the Rams whooped some Texans a$$.

Jadeveon Clowney Remains Adamant About Not Playing For Dolphins
Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, citing a source informed of Jadeveon Clowney‘s thinking, reports that the linebacker remains “adamant he doesn’t want to play for the Miami Dolphins”, despite the fact that they’ve been discussing a potential trade with the Texans for him.
The Dolphins brought Clowney in for a meeting, which was presumably an attempt to convince him to sign his franchise tender as part of a trade.
However, reports have said that Clowney prefers to play for a contender such as the Eagles or Seahawks.
Last night, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reported that the Texans have offered a first-round pick and Clowney in a potential trade for LT Laremy Tunsil. However, Miami is still asking for more in return.
A source briefed on the discussions tells Jackson that the Dolphins have asked Houston for another high draft pick in addition to Clowney and a first-round pick.
Clowney, 25, is a former No. 1 overall pick of the Texans back in 2014. He was in the final year of his four-year, $22.272 million contract when the Texans picked up his fifth-year option which paid him $12.306 million for 2018.
In 2018, Clowney appeared in 15 games for the Texans and recorded 47 tackles, 9 sacks, a forced fumble, three fumble recoveries, one defensive touchdown and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 9 overall edge defender out of 103 qualifying players.
