Both of these.

1000 times, both of these.

Don't give me the crap that Morris isn't a problem. He's not the ONLY problem, but he is a huge problem. Green Bay had its 3rd string LT starting and 3/5 of their normal starters out, yet were able to execute a 15 play drive in the first quarter and at the start of the 3rd had another drive that consumed half the quarter and ended with a TD. When you have three 1st-ballot HOFers going against an O whose QB is playing behind scrubs, that is flat-out unacceptable.

As for Stafford, by throwing a pick-6 in 3 straight games, he's now out-Goffed Goff. This wasn't supposed to happen, changing the QB was supposed to magically fix everything, and of course, nothing the head coach did contributed to any of our problems in '19 and '20, nor did it contribute to the decline of Goff. These last three games have been a painful counter to that narrative. I would like to think it would wake McVay up, but after the way we lost to TN and SF and then changed virtually nothing coming out of the bye, I'm not confident in his ability to learn.

I’m vented out from the game thread. 3 weeks in a row of the same thing. I honestly knew it was over after Stafford fumble. When the D gets a hold , the offense does a 3 and out or turns it over.
Two drives that ate up 15 minutes limits the times the offense sees the ball. Plus wears the D down both physically and mentally.
The Rams aren’t as good as advertised. Big names and no production. The oline is below average and getting worse. May still make the playoffs , but won’t be there long. No draft picks and tons of positions to feel. Very concerning

Goff apologist saying calling out Stafford injuries as excuses is the most pathetic thing.

It’s not an excuse it is factual observation telling how it’s possible his throws are so erratic.

He isn’t getting it done, his accuracy isn’t the same as it was the first 8 games of the year.
Goff played in the playoffs right after having thumb surgery on his throwing hand and was still regularly shit upon for those 2 games and you think an injury to Stafford that he says isn't bad is an excuse for his bad play? Talk about making excuses. Stafford has caused us three straight games with a bad to terrible first quarter. There's no excusing around that. Jared cost us games last year with bad play and we all called him out for it. Seems Stafford is above critiquing.

What more can anyone have realistically wanted from OBJ? Even miller? Miller played well enough. You can get sacks if your coverage can't hold at all or because they are playing zone even a bad qb will just dink and dunk as long as he gets the ball out. Rodgers Brady etc will surgically dissect you.

It's like great Morris we didn't give up the huge plays what good is it if you letting your defense get blugeoned to death by smash mouth football and death by a 1000 paper cuts. It's like his defense is two halves that don't fit. The backend plays zone there by nullifying our own pass rush because your just competing short quick routes. On that note miller was fine.

As far as OBJ what more could anyone of wanted he was probably one of the best parts of today if not the best. He was hurting gave his all and still doesn't know the offense by any means.

Stafford himself said he was fine and his so called injuries are not affecting his play. So yes its a excuse. Was he injured against AZ when he was missing open receivers? Nope he just not that good against winning teams.

during our struggles last year everyone except a few on here were putting all our woes on Goff. I thought McVay had been somewhat figured out but at least he leaned on the running game for stretches. This year-the running game is non existent and the OL cant absorb pressure up the middle. Its a recipe for disaster. The mindset from the start of the season was to pass all over teams. Well now you see what happens when you have that mindset against good Defenses. I cant freaking believe we went Empty backfield on our own 10 yard line to start this game. Whitworth got Stafford creamed. Martz…I mean McVay is just not what I thought he was.

I really don’t give a fuck what Stafford says.

I see it with my own eyes. He is hurt, it’s probably his back snd it is affecting his ability to make plays.

I’m not making excuses for him I’m pointing out facts

I still don't think it's the team entirely. Say we keep Von and OBJ and get another corner to go with resigning Williams who at this point has no right to demand any contract sign an offensive lineman or two resign guys wee must have back. There are ways of freeing up to 45 mill in cap room etc. I firmly believe Morris and his schemes are an issue and to some extent offensively mcvay as I stated is in his own head. I don't think we are in bad shape I think coaching staff is an issue and please other than Matt Gay special teams is a nightmare.

Lot of things to comment on.

1. Stafford has looked horrible. The fumble IMO was more on Whit. On occasions, Whit gets right off the bat. Hard to say Stafford has could have done much. Had he felt quick pressure maybe he moves up. Still hard to blame Stafford.

2. Stafford had made too many bad/horrible throws. He is holding the offense back. The pick-six was totally on him and could have had other INTs.

3. I don't think Sony Michel is much better than Henderson. He may be hurt. He was great on KO returns.

4. Defense played better. They still need to tighten coverage up and tackling

5. Seems like a lot of holding is not being called when the Rams are pass rushing.

6. Rams lack depth on defense. Reeder, Rapp, Long, Burgess, Long, and Rochell haven't stepped up.

7. Turnover differential is impossible to overcome.

8. McVay is too emotional on the sidelines. His game management is well below par. He needs to get a grip.

9. Special teams are horrible. Depth is a part of the problem. What is up with Hekker?

All in all the Rams are playing from behind because of early mistakes. If Stafford is hurt he may not be able to turn things around. If he can then the Rams can make a comeback. Stop the turnovers and be more aggressive on defense.

Personnel Mistakes this season

1) Thinking Reeder could be an every down player. He is situational at best.
2) Thinking Rapp is an every down player. This is the new NFL. If you can't cover the pass your roll is situational.
3) Keeping Hekker. His Leg has lost the juice.
4) Doing this star position stuff with Ramsey. Put him on the best WR and roll coverage to everyone else.
5) Not finding a way to keep John Johson
6) Not adding another blocking tight end

Not only that, but what Morris is calling actually prevents our D from making the type of plays that can turn a game around. So many times in these last few weeks we could have possibly turned the tide in games if our D could have forced a big TO ... instead we just get beat 5-6 yards at a time for long, soul-sucking drives.

8) Not having enough viable depth at the WR position when point 7 happens
9) Not having enough viable depth at the TE position to substitute a 12 personnel system when 7 happens

Edit, can't believe we missed this one:
10) Drafting an under sized WR who is now on IR after getting tackled by his feet

Neither McVay nor Stafford himself said anything-- not a single word-- to support this in their post game press conferences. They both basically said it was business as usual, he's fine, it's mid season, everyone has bumps and bruises.

But maybe they're covering something up just to make him look bad.

I said before this game and I’ll say it again.

Don’t turn the ball over.

No turnovers and you make them earn 17 gift points.

It’s really that simple to be competitive.

All the other strategy stuff simply won’t matter if you don’t take care of the ball.

It’s ridiculous.

It's amazing he's so hurt it's affected his game play yet not once this year has he been on the injury report that I can recall. In fact here's this weeks report and yeah no Matt Stafford. Sure must be a horrific injury for them to hide it like this.
