I still get chills when I watch the video of that moment. Hands down my favorite sports moment. Ike's TD catch in the Superbowl is a close second. I'd pick a Laker moment but they've had so many you kinda get used to it.

I don't know, Mike Jones tackling Dyson on the one yard line to end the game is just as spine tingly to me as Ike's catch..

Never saw Gibson, but did see the Freese homer, I was screaming & running around in my living room, wife was too.

Next best sports moment, watching the WS between Yanks and Diamond Backs, the comeback to beat Mariano & seal the win for Johnson & Schilling was epic.

Ayyy, but that's baseball! The Bruuuce catch was an all time favorite, watching Warner host the Lombardi have me chills.

SoFi will host many epic moments. This stadium's completion will be an epic sports moment in and of itself.

To me it is all time related.

Starts with Lakers winning the title in 1971.

Ends with the FG against NOLA in 2018.

Dickerson against the Cowboys playoffs in 1985 (was there) was up there.

Gibson was a HUGE one.

So was Bruce then Jones. Hard to pick since Jones wouldn't have happened without Bruce. But that is just tempting fate.

Love the comeback win in 2004(?) against the Chikins? Then playoff victory?

Kobe and Shaq in ???? (Too old to remember. Too lazy to look)

Kind of drawing a blank between then and the NOLA FG.

Being a loyal fan has its thrill of victory, and the agony of defeat. (I just made that up for those under 50)

I remember thinking WTF? He can barely walk, let alone run. He either has to hit it into a gap or out of the park. Then Vin says the roll of the dice comment and I'm thinking, "Yeah... no shit."

Then Gibby just freaking battled to a 3-2 count. Davis steals 2nd and a single would tie it. When Gibby swung like he did and hit the ball, I was excited because it looked like the single we needed to tie the game. How the hell he got enough of that ball to send it out with that swing and with two bad limbs is just amazing. But when he jumped up, I thought "no way!" As a life long Dodger fan that got to go to many games as a kid, that was beyond epic. It sends chills down my spine to this day.

I get your affinity for the Freese home run but the complete improbability of the Gibby home run is the stuff of legend.

When Gibby swung like he did and hit the ball, I was excited because it looked like the single we needed to tie the game. As a life long Dodger fan that got to go to many games as a kid, that was beyond epic. It sends chills down my spine to this day.

I get your affinity for the Freese home run but the complete improbability of the Gibby home run is the stuff of legend.

One or 2 times a year I bring up the whole 9 minute at bat segment on youtube. STILL get choked up!

There was little chance of Dyson scoring. Jones was right on him. I swear when his hip hit the ground the ball was a good 2 yards away. only after he hit and outstretched the ball was it closer to the 1 yard line. for that reason i rate Bruces catch higher.

Not to mention Warner was hit as he threw it causing it to be under thrown a bit. Bruce made a great adjustment to the ball. I can still remember Al Michaels "ADJUSTING FOR IT IS ISAAC BRUCE!"

The whole defense was gassed, with Kevin Carter coming out of the game and DMarco Farr saying the same thing. Mike Jones made that play due to film work that he did, and saw something he remembered to be in position for the tackle. If Fisher would have run Eddie George instead of the pass to Dyson, we might have lost that game in overtime, because they had all of the momentum. As it was, Jones made a play for the ages with a perfect form tackle when it mattered.

Great moment... but... Kirk Gibson against the heavily favored A's? That was a true Hollywood script right there!!!!

As much as I loved the Rams SB victory (no matter what Georgia said!---sorry, had to say it), it's a close 3rd to Angels game 6 comeback vs. SF Giants in 2002 WS and obviously game 7 WS Victory with whole family spread out through the Big A, Actually I should rank them 1A, 1B, 1C. Both world championships brought tears....always got harassed for loyalty to Rams (stayed with them to STL and back) and Angels bad luck and just remembering savoring the feeling of finally knowing what it was like to be a World Champ!

My take, I was 32 years old at the time, and yeah Vin Scully had the National TV mic, he kept harping on and on how Gibson was nowhere to be found in the dugout...I pretty much knew there was no way Gibson was unavailable

Im not a fucking Dodgers fan by any stretch (angels)however I really hated the A’s (sorta like Rams fan hating on the Niners)

Without a doubt that ranks just a half notch below USA Hockey Lake Placid, as one of the most improbable annnd exhilarating moments I’ve ever watched, yeah even tho I’m an Angels fan, I was definitely rooting for the Dodgers

I consider that the greatest HR or even Baseball moment...I’ve ever witnessed, and as a Baseball first guy, that’s saying something
