So relaxing.... floating above the stadium ...
Loves me some Lasorda.I would like him to do a coin toss so we can watch him snub the opposing players.
Anytime he drops the puck at a Kings game he shakes the Kings players hand, wishes them luck, and then turns around leaving the opposing player hanging. When asked about it he said he wanted LA to win, so why wish luck to the other guy.
Legend.
Loved the guy too. 1988 was the best World Series ever....Right @Memento ?Loves me some Lasorda.
Kurt Gibson, hobbling to the plate, faced the most dominating relief pitcher in Dennis Eckersley, hit a home run on one leg, two outs in the Ninth inning in Game One. It was a similar scene, right out of The Natural.2011 will always be the best for me. David Freese for the motherfucking win!
Sorry to interrupt the fun, and as much as I love reliving that Kirk Gibson "The Natural" moment, I have to let everyone know another worker has died at the site.

Great moment... but... Kirk Gibson against the heavily favored A's? That was a true Hollywood script right there!!!!2011 will always be the best for me. David Freese for the motherfucking win!
My next door neighbor was a big A's fan, and he was a bit patronizing about the try-hard Dodger's chances against the mighty A's. They called Canseco, McGuire, Henderson, and Hubbard(?) Murderer's Row. Our big slugger, Kirk Gibson, went down vs. the mighty Mets. All the experts expressed disappointment at the "weakest lineup" in World Series history (FU Bob Costas). Mickey Hatcher went nuts with a few HR's and Bull Dog Hersheiser threw a couple of great games (wins). But Gibson's HR in the 9th in Game one is what broke the A's. They seemed to have nothing after that in the Series... Steroids could no longer help, lol.Great moment... but... Kirk Gibson against the heavily favored A's? Yeah, after game one they were morally defeated. Our guys stepped up and played lights out!!!My next door neighbor was a big A's fan, and he was a bit patronizing about the try-hard Dodger's chances against the mighty A's. That has to be my favorite baseball memory of all time. Phenomenal!Kurt Gibson, hobbling to the plate, faced the most dominating relief pitcher in Dennis Eckersley, hit a home run on one leg, two outs in the Ninth inning in Game One. It was a similar scene, right out of The Natural.
What was funny is that during the home run trot by Gibson, you could see brake lights of those who had left early, and many tried to get back into Dodger stadium....lol...Totally an LA thing to do!That has to be my favorite baseball memory of all time. Phenomenal!
I was with of two my best drinking buddies at the time at one of their houses. We were all Dodger fans. I remember all we wanted for for Gibson to hit a bloop single and tie the game. Take our chances in extra innings. When he hit that homer we almost brought the house down. The next day his neighbor said "that was some party last night. How many people did you have? It sounded like you had 20 people in there". We were that loud celebrating that HR.
