Sean Mannion?Yeah. No. Goff right now is a liability. I cannot remember the last time I felt so uncomfortable with a Rams QB.... 2002 injured Warner maybe.

A good coach doesn't stop coaching and leading. How does McVay get through to Jared?
The list is fucking endless.Sean Mannion?
I dunno about other people, but being in the military was much easier being single...I am saying this because a lot of outside noise can affect judgement. You get sad, mad for no reason, like if Goffs lifestyle or his G/F lifestyle is affecting him he needs to address it and make the decision. Motivation? I thought McVay was hype enough. I don't think its motivation only.Another bad outing by Goff. If you're McVay how would you motivate Goff? His level of play is unacceptable.
Understand where you're going. Yes McVay should be able to rely on the QB coach. I'm wondering if the tough love Bruce Arians is showing Brady is needed or if there is something else to stoke a fire. Bradford was the same way, very even keeled.Coach shouldn't have to do that to a 5th year vet QB. He's a big boy now. Protecting the ball is all he needs to do.
Coach needs to worry about evolving the team, not having to devote time to the QB.
That should've been done when mcvay realized this d is legit. Run the ball and play defense. We're rapidly approaching the threshold even if just for this year where McVay is gonna have to manage Goff as if he's a backup and not a $30+M starter.
Turn him into a game manager until he gets his confidence back.
WE KNOW he's capable as he was aces against the Chiefs.
Either something is wrong or teams have figured his eyes out and I dunno if he can be retrained if that's the case... or he's slightly injured and they refuse to talk about it.
But SOMETHING is off and if McVay doesn't adjust to Goff's current reality, then the rest of this season is going to be an exercise in futility.
I’ve never thought that.I just don't think Goff sees these losses as they're on his shoulders.
^^^This. Like Goff was good when we briefly had Greg Olson. He had good mechanics and everything else a good QB is supposed to have.he doesn't seem to have small fundamentals you expect in a seasoned QB: clock management, when to throw the ball away, when to slide, check in and out of plays, slide protection, etc etc. Not sure those things require motivation.
Sometimes I see his coolness as coming off nonchalant. That is what I mean by saying he doesn't take the losses very personally.I’ve never thought that.
He still needs to take coaching and execute.
