While, I don’t think Jared Goff has been terrible this Season I certainly don’t think he has played up to his Standards, Abilities or Potential! And, Goff might not be getting as much support from his OL, WR’s or even the RB’s as he would like but I still think the he is a better QB than what he showed/played the 1st Half of the Season! And, I STILL have total confidence that Goff will have a better 2nd half of the Season and WILL lead the Rams to the Playoffs (A WIN against the DREADED Seahawks this Sunday would be a GREAT Time to start!)!

Looking forward to seeing the Jared Goff I expected this season!!!

MOD EDIT: To help with topic management, this thread will be used as a General Thread-Topic for Goff in 2020.

We will merge topics that go in similar directions, here.

Topics that stand alone, based on conversation they generate, will be left as stand alone topics.

How do we decide what merges? It won’t be a perfect science. We want conversation here, so a general goal is to not merge topics.

But to prevent too many similar Goff threads, this thread will be used in that manner.

Thank you.

Let's go Jared!

Out of the 16 teams in the NFC, we are 12th in scoring...

For us to make the playoffs, we are gonna have to climb those rankings quite a bit, and Jared will need to be the main driver.

I don't want to see, nor do I think we will see last Sundays #16 again.
I will gladly take this seasons Jared Goff on Sunday vs the shitbags, just not last Sundays.

I'll take the Goff who was very effective vs a legitimately tough WFT Defense. They are top 10 defense with no help from their O.

I would love to see the Goff who diced up Phillys D with 3 TDs to Higbee and another good showing against a solid middle of the road Defense.

Gimme the Goff that drove us back from down 25pts to take the lead over the Bills in the final minutes of the game.

The Goff that delivered against the Bears #4 ranked Defense would be awesome to have against the shitbags.

Whatever happened with Goff vs the 49ers on Monday Night (trying to do too much in his home market against his childhood team maybe?) seemed to only get worse over the shortened week and cross country trip to the +120° degree sidelines at 10am in Miami.

Its a what have you done for me lately league and fans have short memories. If you played bad last week, you aren't a good player. If you played bad the past two weeks, you're garbage, a bust and the team needs a new QB. That is the emotional logic of the post-fantasy era message board Mussolini's. Just how it goes these days. In my industry the saying goes "You're only as good as your last gig."
Thats the same sentiment in football, only much more exaggerated.

Goff is great.

Goff is good.

Let us thank him for this food.

I got busted for making fun of his kid & play Hags costume.

Let’s hope he feeds off some poor sea chicken defense this week. Then Rally for a Big(Red) Bird family Feast. Maybe by then Christmas will be a lot sweeter
than Halloween.Need to strike Gold & take back the State of California.Whose House, not the Chargers because Vegas came back into town to still claim the first meeting in SoFI after a quick drive in town from the 15fwy,only taking the 10 into town or whatever Waze ?

Goff was not as much of the problem as playcalling. I question the OC/HC combination of calling a game?

Is O’Connell in the booth ? Just questioning is all. Jared is Jared
& wants to win. He holds himself accountable & I respect that a lot from him. Ultimate Team Player

If not for a Ref call in the Bills game, a dropped Kupp TD and Mcvay brainfart in Miami, the Rams would be 8-0.

Overall Goff has played excellent football.

Being born with boobs and catching a ball are both out of the control of the QB. So good analogy.

Our passing game is just not as effective as it once was. There's nobody on our offense that's going to keep an opposing DC up at night.

For all the scapegoating and resentment this offense misses the impact that (healthy) Todd Gurley had. I think Jared as much as anybody.

He's 26 and predominantly a pocket passer. While a lot of folks are hoping his productivity translates similarly to what Rodgers, Mahomes, and Lamar Jackson has to offer; his play style is built to avoid the potential injuries that involve continuously making plays with your legs and exposing yourself to big hits. Wentz went from the best in the bunch to average exposing himself to those kinds of hits.

I'm confident Goff will ascend to elite level through continuity and staying course to his current play style. Pocket passers are built to play until their early 40s.
