And I say again, even if we wanted to could we really out-suck the likes of HOU, Indy, CHI, CLE or even the Cards?
Sure we can, all those teams played better then we did today.

Cousins said he owes his entire career to McVay. Goff was considered a bust (by many) before McVay arrived. I've got concerns about McVay, but developing QB's isn't one of them.
Goff was considered a bust when we traded him, we had to give up a 1st rounder just to move him. Stafford was developed when we traded for him. We have never been able to develop a back up. I always read about McVay developing QBs, but IDK about that.

I’m off the Caleb bandwagon. I see too many red flags with that dude. He’s not accurate deep, he’s immature, he’s a diva…

Give Maye or @Corbin *gulp* maybe even McCarthy over Caleb.

Honestly I prefer McCarthy (not because of the team either), I just think we trade down to add value to fill holes as Snead is famous for and McCarthy gets drafted, we then take a different QB Nix/Pennix.

Our biggest remaining challenge is sucking worse than the Birds when we play. Can't wait to see the gameplan.

You never know where a QB will end up once he gets to the NFL and I do have some minor concerns. Caleb is ahead of Mahomes ( his closest comparison) at the same point in their careers. You would be reaching to doubt his accomplishments. 70 TDS and 9 INT's over less than 24 games warrants some hype. If you want a larger sample size it is 91 td's and 13 INT's over less than 35 games with a 67% completion rate at 21 years old.
He may not pan out for who knows why but it wont be due to his ability or performance to date

He is the type of player that you should watch a couple games not highlights before assessing him.

Caleb has been sucking lately according the people that I know of that watch College Football.

Man, I must have missed the memo where a qb with a 3 to 1 win ratio, high qb rating and a superbowl appearance is considered a bust. Just because the nfl media wanted it to be so it does not mean it is true.

The Lions laughing all the way to the bank. Holmes knew Mcvay was done with Goff and would pay anything to get a qb like Stafford and milked them for all their worth.

Rams happy, they win the superbowl the first season. Mission accomplished. Not sure how happy they are now though moving forward. Still, they have a superbowl trophy to show for it. And Stafford was the main reason for it. They'd make that trade again a million times over.

Lions happy, after a rough first season which they expected they are now primed to be a playoff contender. Should be very happy moving forward.

Doesn't Caleb want part ownership of the team that drafts him, or was that fake news? If true, that's a big "fuck no" from me.

That's kind of what I am talking about the bar is so high that going 27/35 312yds 3 td's and no INT's Saturday against #5 in the nation is sucking. Perspective is everything

To me, it sounds like pre-draft jockeying BS more than anything and there is no credible source for the rumor - I've only seen Florio as the source. Anyways, it's not allowed under NFL rules.

Once again Arizona will be the reason we're playing a 3rd place schedule instead of 4th. :angry4:

That's all true. Goff wasn't a bust, but McVay couldn't develop him or adjust to his skills and traded him at a massive discount. Probably didn't help belittling him in the press before trading him. McVay didn't have to develop Stafford, which is what I was alluding to. People praise McVay for his ability to develop QB, which I ask why does he gets this credit. After all these years here, we still haven't had a good backup which seems strange with his great ability to develop QBs.

Exactly, These sources spreading all this negative news on athletes are like the enquirer. no name internet publications. You see the same sort of drummed up drama about celebs that is obvious B.S. Clickbait. Caleb may demand some sort of compensation that is creatively new to the game as many will moving forward. The game is changing before our eyes and NIL money gives players a lot more leverage than ever before
