Yea respect to DJax for going to McVay privately and asking for a trade instead of jumping on social media to do it or some other cryptic shit. Very rare now days. Shows the respect thats there even if he is unhappy with his current lack of usage.

Disagree. This dude signed on to round out our depth with a shot to play a key role. Jefferson beat him out and now he wants a ticket out of town which hurts the team's depth.
If this is coming from the Rams' side of the fence things would be different. We don't need this kind of dude on our team, but it's a hit to have to move him.
Agree with what you said but would add this: We also have an offensive line that can really pass protect and give receivers like Kupp time to get open down field. And a really deep WR corps, even without DJax.

His cap number is 3.26 million on a one year deal. So wouldnt his cap savings be the same?
C'mon man we dont know what McVay promised him when he signed? Or what he said his involvement would be. Did you think it would be this small? I certainly didn't, he's hardly ever on the field. It's a hit to our depth yes, but if that means getting Tutu touches or maybe Jacob Harris snaps now, how can you be mad? We need those young guns to develop.
But regardless I'm just saying the manner in which he asked for a trade shows he respects McVay. Old Djax would've went to the media and made a big fuss for sure. His contract is majority incentives, he can make another $3.25M if he stays healthy for a different team. Is he choosing money over a potential ring? Yes for sure. But I dont think you can knock a player for that, he's a 34yr old often injured player on his final lap. Im not mad at him wanting to get his money. Plus he will likely be going to the HOF one day. Players with that type of pride wont be happy sitting on the bench if they can still play at a high level.

Why couldn’t McVay get him more snaps? I thought things were shaping up pretty well, the way Kupp is playing he has to be the defenses focus so 2-3 times a game take a shot with Jackson. You would think that there are going to be opportunities when good teams try to take Kupp away.
Or maybe it wasn’t the lack of deep speed that kept them from going over the top last year. Van has a deep ball, Kupp has several and Jackson was open for 5 or 6, I guess McVay is confident in what he’s got. But that kind of depth is great to have just look at the packers and the Bucs.

The first 8 games of the season are spent, so the 9 games after the trade deadline would amount to our savings. jmo.
Or be the guy to sit on the sidelines and potentially watch someone else do it while hardly contributing in getting my team the opportunity.
McVay keeps rolling with who and what are working until it doesn't work. Like the offense in the Super Bowl.
