No problem. I'm not trying to start an argument. If we need to have that conversation then we're going to disagree at the end so let's just take a shortcut to the destination.
Disagree. This dude signed on to round out our depth with a shot to play a key role. Jefferson beat him out and now he wants a ticket out of town which hurts the team's depth.Yea respect to DJax for going to McVay privately and asking for a trade instead of jumping on social media to do it or some other cryptic shit. Very rare now days. Shows the respect thats there even if he is unhappy with his current lack of usage.
Agree with what you said but would add this: We also have an offensive line that can really pass protect and give receivers like Kupp time to get open down field. And a really deep WR corps, even without DJax.It should be pretty apparent by now that the last few years our lack of down the field throwing wasn't about having a "deep threat," but rather a QB that pushes the ball down the field. Kupp, Woods, VJ, Tutu, Harris all give us plenty of explosive play potential.
So while I doubt they have trouble moving a guy who has looked like a solid deep threat so far... What is the cap impact if they end up needing to cut him?
The LA Chargers make sense. They need receiving help
His cap number is 3.26 million on a one year deal. So wouldnt his cap savings be the same?My guess would be a savings of $1.725 towards our CAP.
C'mon man we dont know what McVay promised him when he signed? Or what he said his involvement would be. Did you think it would be this small? I certainly didn't, he's hardly ever on the field. It's a hit to our depth yes, but if that means getting Tutu touches or maybe Jacob Harris snaps now, how can you be mad? We need those young guns to develop.Disagree. If this is coming from the Rams' side of the fence things would be different. We don't need this kind of dude on our team, but it's a hit to have to move him.
If DJax wants to stay home I think he’d push for it.Fuck Spanos. Doubt Kroenke would sell him anything other than a sewer rat.
Yeah, hadn’t thought of that…I hope so. If Snead comes out later and says “we woulda kept Kenny if we knew Desean was gonna demand a trade”, that would suck.

Maybe the dumb part was making them second and third round picks.Look he's obviously still very effective, we've seen it this year. Cant hate on a competitor for wanting more touches. This guy is going to the HOF one day. Is he prioritizing chasing a ring? No obviously not. But remember, majority of his contract is incentive based. 75% of the value he can attain comes from snap count and overall production, so we can't be mad at a guy wanting to get another $2-3M. I'm down to start seeing Tutu more. What I love about moving Kenny Y and DJax is opening up snaps and development opportunities for Ernest and Tutu. Its so dumb to use 2nd and 3rd round picks on players and not let them ever see the field.
Or be the guy to sit on the sidelines and potentially watch someone else do it while hardly contributing in getting my team the opportunity.Yeah I wouldn't want to be a guy who could potentially catch a game winning TD in the NFC CHamp game or the Super Bowl for my hometown team, who would want to do that....while only making 5M.... ME NOT WE.
Unless there is more we dont know here.....
McVay keeps rolling with who and what are working until it doesn't work. Like the offense in the Super Bowl. Why couldn’t McVay get him more snaps? I thought things were shaping up pretty well, the way Kupp is playing he has to be the defenses focus so 2-3 times a game take a shot with Jackson. You would think that there are going to be opportunities when good teams try to take Kupp away.
Or maybe it wasn’t the lack of deep speed that kept them from going over the top last year. Van has a deep ball, Kupp has several and Jackson was open for 5 or 6, I guess McVay is confident in what he’s got. But that kind of depth is great to have just look at the packers and the Bucs.
