Stuff happens. Rams protected their ability to stretch the field until it became clear Stafford was the solution to that problem.

Hopefully it gives them flexibility to add something needed to the roster.

Maybe the Pats.... They could use WR help and have a shot at a WC in that conference. He could help a young QB. Plus we seem to like to trade with them.

I hope the Rams know what they are doing.

McVay is holding a press conference right now; and, once again he appears to be holding-back and is being a little cryptic.

He has tried to keep the Jackson comments to a minimum but the media is having nothing to do with it.

Although McVay said this is 'very quickly developing', he then added
'we want to work through a couple things over the next couple days to fully answer your questions'.

I put the above in 'quotes' because I replayed it several times, and those are almost exact quotes.

By-The-Way, he said both Whitworth and Joseph-Day are out for this week.

He's just a selfish dude, has always been and always will be. It's all about him and he's going to end up on a lesser roster somewhere he can pound his chest that he's the guy while he watches the playoffs on TV.

The guy was complaining right out the gate this season about touches. This team is better off without all that. I fuckin detest diva receivers.
Agreed. Definitely not a "we not me" guy.

What the fuck? This is weird... like he had to know he was a part time player this year? I don't get it. Unless, like said, the Rams have a move they want to make that's driving this. Weird ass timing. Well, time for Tutu to take McVay's advice to heart and have more urgency because sounds like he'll have a chance to play a few snaps a game suddenly.
Yeah. He's probably thought he was going to be what Van Jefferson has been. Without an injury, there's no way he's moving up this depth chart.

Selfish? Yes. Us fans.

This is still a business and the guy is probably at or near the end of his career getting very little playing time with an incentive laden contract.

If true, I don't blame him at all.

Financials aside, these guys have just so many years to play. I'd hate to spend what could potentially be my last year just watching too, if I could help it

Jackson was open deep multiple times early in the season. His reward is that he's barely getting any snaps or passes. He's 34 and on an incentive based contract. I don't see how wanting a trade is being unreasonable.

The Rams may also want to deal him for their own reasons, in particular to help free up money to get an impact player on the D before the deadline. We are really deep at receiver and the offense is humming.

But in any event if the Rams aren't going to use him they should trade him. Let him go to a team where he can play.

Suddenly the Kenny Young cap unload makes more sense to me. Open cap space, trade Desean plus whatever for a position of need. Puzzle is coming together for me

Honestly sounds like Desean threw this in their lap a couple hours ago. And given the narrative around Goff and how that trade went down, I can see them not wanting to publicly throw Desean under the bus.

I hope so. If Snead comes out later and says “we woulda kept Kenny if we knew Desean was gonna demand a trade”, that would suck.

Well, he certainly proved that he was bullshitting the entire time about being a "team player" and "coming home to LA" and "wanting a ring" and such.

Hopefully that means that Atwell can get on the field...and - moreso than that - I hope we get a solid pick for D-Jax.

EDIT: Whoops. Meant D-Jax. My apologies, Desean! ;)

Agree. From the press conference, it sounds like this was driven by Jackson, and not the Rams.
