I wonder what teams think about his arm strength. Because film-wise the kid is balling. But will he be a guy who teams ding based on the arm. Because some of those deep outs feel like they barely get there. He definitely doesn't rip it deep.Liking Ty Simpson more & more. Interesting to see him play against some other teams in hostile environments.
I feel the same way. I'm excited about this draft and to me it feels like things are favoring us greatly as QBs are concerned.
I believe McVay is a different person and mindset now versus when the Goff/Stafford situation occurred. Call it personal growth, age, having won the SB, married life, parenthood…whatever. I think he’s more patient now QB/offense wise and that’ll impact the post Stafford decision. Beforehand, I’d agree it would be a very good veteran QB he fully trusts and desires. Now, it’s all open.
I prefer taller QBs too, because it seems to me that vision across a lot of snaps is going to be affected by more of your vision being occluded. But also because when you get to a certain height you need to be an outlier to succeed.Mateer is too short for my liking plus not sure on his arm strength too. Need to see more of him.
Anyone think Justin Fields is salvagable? I saw an article connecting him to the Rams as someone they could look at.
It would obviously be a total reclamation project. Total teardown and rebuild. He would have to redo his deal as he has a $20M base next year. Probably could get him for next to nothing. If Stafford is back, maybe he could sit and learn? Or maybe you don't bother in that instance. Maybe if the guy sits and learns for once and rebuilds his fundamentals, he could become something?

I am thinking purely in the future, like next offseason or even in 27'. I also doubt he is fixable, just throwing it out as a highly drafted guy who can be had for nothing. No, because Jimmy Garoppolo is here, as someone who can step in and carry us to the Super Bowl, God-Forbid Stafford gets injured.
Also, Stetson Bennett is not that far off from Fields, who's been a total shitshow this year. Cant throw.

I would sign for this RIGHT NOW!
A wet dream for me if THIS happens.

Come on man, Fields has been an abject failure with 3 different teams now. While a Ram, Goff at his best looked like the best QB in the league. Apples and oranges. Goff had a lot to prove, but he needed to prove his previous excellent play was still in himMany thought Goff was done after McVay threw him under the bus and Goff would go off into oblivion in Detroit.... Shows you what kind of guy Goff is.
That’s pretty much every coaches post game interview. It may have started off good, but McVay threw him under the bus publicly..... pretty unprofessional if you ask me.
But it appears McVay has cut back on the Red Bulls, and is making better decisions in every aspect of coaching..... I didn't think I would ever tolerate him, but I actually like him now, but I still cant listen to his post game interviews..... too much of the same speech.
Agreed. Though maybe he'll have a couple underwhelming games at the end of the year. The one thing in our favor with him is that he doesn't seem to have a great arm. So when the QB workouts happen if that is true teams may cool on him with that team groupthink.Welp, looks like the pipe dream of getting Simpson at 15 has quickly evaporated. I was a fool for even believing it was possible (sigh)

That order looks good to me.Simpson, Mendoza, Sellers, Mateer... IMO the list of potential QB's is getting more and more interesting as the season goes on
