Rams Block Party

Rams just posted this

In partnership with Zillow, the pop-up will transport fans through a branded living room space, and a gameday-inspired tunnel that will take them onto a replicated Rams field. The field will feature stations that represent iconic cities around Los Angeles. Before leaving the "Draft House", fans will visit the Corner Store, a Los Angeles-style mini-mart pop-up outfitted with Rams jerseys and new apparel available for purchase.

ESPN owns NFL Network; now what?

ESPN owns NFL Network; now what?

For years, the NFL had tried to unload NFL Network onto a broadcast partner. ESPN eventually bit, giving the league a 10-percent stake in the four-letter network in exchange for NFLN and other media assets.

The transition happened on Wednesday, April 1. So now what?

It remains to be seen. NFL Network will have, at least for 2026, its own draft coverage. And all NFLN employees with remaining time on their contracts have become ESPN employees. When those contracts expire, all bets are off.

As it relates to programming, NFLN becomes a spillover option. Already, NFL Network will handle a pair of UFL games that were due to be televised by one of the ESPN networks. NFL Network could, in theory, become a landing spot for other content, such as college football games.

It’ll be up to ESPN at this point. Regardless, NFLN provides another platform for games and/or shows that otherwise would be on ESPN.

Then there’s the issue of on-air talent. On Thursday, Andrew Marchand of The Athletic reported that ESPN is interested in retaining NFLN insider Ian Rapoport, whose contract expires on April 30. Later, Front Office Sports reported that ESPN views Rapoport and NFLN draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah as a potential succession plan for Adam Schefter (59) and Mel Kiper Jr. (65), respectively.

That may not be viewed as welcome news by Schefter and Kiper. Succession plans often have a way of being implemented before the predecessor is ready to stand down. And Schefter’s $9 million per year contract expires in 2027. Having Rapoport under contract beyond then gives ESPN leverage when it comes to keeping Schefter from trying to get SAS/McAfee money.

In 2009, things got very nasty between Schefter and NFL Network. He eventually was taken off the air for six months and locked out of his office. NFLN also wiped out his contacts, forcing him to rebuild his digital Rolodex from scratch. While Schefter works for ESPN and not NFLN, NFLN has a seat at the table. And Rapoport could have a seat at the table, too.

They both do the same thing. They both eat from the same trough. Whether it’s Schefter or Rapoport, ESPN can drop him into any production, remind the viewers constantly about how much time he spends on his phone, and repeatedly proclaim him to be “the best in the business.”

From a dollars and cents standpoint, they could get there for less money with Rapoport than they pay Schefter.

Will that be a factor when nut-cutting time arrives as to a pair of “insiders” with the same skill sets? Why would it not be?

It’s just one of the dynamics that will unfold as two media outlets that cover the NFL are folded into one. It will happen slowly and gradually. It will look the same, as it evolves into whatever it will become with NFLN just another ESPN network without ESPN branding.

Until, of course, they announce in a year or two that it will now be known as ESPNFLN.

Rams Season Tickets Pricing 2026

Just complaining about life these days here. (lol)

My father bought season tickets when the Rams moved to Anaheim, and held them all the way through the last game before they bolted to St. Louis.

We had 5 season tickets. All five, for the entire season, cost about $850.

Attached I just looked at season tickets for the upcoming 2026 season. I have a family of 5 now myself.

Our tickets in Anaheim were corner end zone about 20 rows up from the field. Not bad seats, expecially when action was on our side of the field.

I looked at the pricing in a similar location on the new pricing sheet. I'd say the dark brown section 124 is similar to our Anaheim section as far as location.

So the sheet states you have to pay $12,500 per seat for psl. 5 of us totals $62,500. Then, 5 season tickets at $2,260 each is $11,300.

Added together it would cost a total of $73,800 for 5 season tickets in dark brown section 124.

I'm sorry. But, $73,800 is just insane. It's not fair.

Does anyone know if I am missing something here? The psl money...can you get that back at some time in the future, or if you don't renew at some point, like an investment. Or, is this $73,800 toast...gone...when it's all over?

I used to be "Always A Rams Fan" in person, but at this pricing, hard to pull the trigger on it.

Bloodied Los Angeles Rams receiver Puka Nacua evaluated

Bloodied Los Angeles Rams receiver Puka Nacua evaluated for concussion

INGLEWOOD, Calif. — A helmet couldn’t protect Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua’s face from a big hit.

Nacua caught a nine-yard pass over the middle from Matthew Stafford on third-and-7 late in the first quarter. After he hauled in the football, he took a big hit from Texans linebackers Henry To'oTo'o and Azeez Al-Shaair.

Referees quickly penalized To'oTo'o for unnecessary roughness on the play. But the bigger concern was Nacua as he got up in visible discomfort and his face bloodied from the collision.

Nacua was eventually escorted off the field by the team’s medical staff. He later returned to the game.

The Rams announced early in the second quarter that Nacua was being evaluated for a concussion.

Referees union and their demands

I hope the NFL fights off this ludicrous demands of the refs. I'm with the below guy. These guys have been horrible for years and they want huge raises and no accountability. Now, the NFL doesn't help them with the way they write their rules these days and tell them to enforce. Frankly both sides suck when it comes to putting games in the hands of these jackoffs. But fixing the problem needs to start somewhere.

Apologies if already a thread but didn't see one.

MemphisRam's Mock Draft 4.0 - Most will hate 2nd rounder

I didn't think I was going to make another one this offseason, but I had some time to kill and wanted to try something a little different.

1. Omar Cooper Jr., WR, Indiana 6’0” 199
Login to view embedded media View: https://youtu.be/sfRNZktCDiw

The most “Ramsiest WR” in the draft according to former scout and NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah. Physical blocker, YAC monster, good hands and speed. Who knows? He might eventually prove to be a protection against Puka having more issues.

2. Zachariah Branch, WR/PR, Georgia 5’9” 177
Login to view embedded media View: https://youtu.be/nstpkQTO7JU?si=6NFTzVXBOr5-4l3L

I would prefer a pass rusher here, but not sure one worth the selection makes it so………….third time’s a charm???

Branch is just as fast as Tutu, but bigger and much stronger (20 reps of 225) with actual PR skills. And he might be as shifty and jitterbug like as Tavon, but is an actual WR instead of a tiny RB trying to learn the position.

Both Cooper and Branch could also be great fits for the screen game Kingsbury is probably going to have McVay add to the offense. Good-bye Xavier.

3. J.C. Davis, OT, Illinois 6’4” 322
Login to view embedded media View: https://youtu.be/sOmKHndvf2I

Enough with the toys. Teams shouldn’t go through the first two days without addressing the trenches. Especially a team where 4 of its OLine starters are set to be free agents after the season. Davis gives the team a potential depth piece that may develop into a future starter at OT or Guard.

6. Michael Heldman, EDGE, Central Michigan 6’4” 260
Login to view embedded media View: https://youtu.be/lz9KF6s7zn0?si=wIi7VtCuCfWVpPi-

Here the Rams take a flier on a smaller school kid with a high motor and good RAS score to see if he can add more umph to the pass rushing rotation. Might have to trade up for him, but I’m not sure. More special teams help.

7. Riley Nowakowski, TE/FB/H-Back, Indiana 6’2” 250
Login to view embedded media View: https://youtu.be/jICpF5JlXFc

Rams go back to National Champions and nab one of the key players in their rushing attack who can also be a physical presence on special teams. It’ll probably never happen, but hopefully this is the year someone in the building emphasizes to McVay how much a good physical blocker can help the team.

7. DeCarlos Nicholson, CB, USC, 6’ 3 ¼, 200
Login to view embedded media View: https://youtu.be/XmhimeTjo9I

Haven’t seen his name mentioned much, but this transfer from Mississippi State who played one year at USC has 33’ ½” arms, 4.50/40 pro day, 6.54 3 cone drill. Hopefully, he could push Forbes off the roster.

7. James Thompson Jr., DT, Illinois, 6’5” 310

Former Wisconsin product that could compete for a DT spot to unseat Hamilton or just eventually hone his craft on the practice squad.

Memento's Internet is Down, so This Might Be Either Short and Sweet or a While Mock Draft.

Yeah, I'm doing this at my folks' house, so it might take either a short time or a long time. Here we go with some trades first (doubt the Rams will do it, but I'm not the Rams):

#13 overall to the Carolina Panthers for #19 overall and #51 overall.

(Carolina moves up for Kenyon Sadiq. We move back.)

#19 overall (Panthers) to the Chicago Bears for #57 overall, #60 overall, and a 2027 first.

(The Bears move up for Akeem Mesidor to bolster their pass rush, while we trade down to accumulate more picks, including a first-round pick in 2027, which will be a much stronger draft than this one.)

#61 overall and #93 overall to the Miami Dolphins for #75 overall and #87 overall (Eagles).

(Swap a second and a late third for two thirds. Miami gets an opportunity at Chris Brazzell II.)

-

#51 overall (Panthers) - D'Angelo Ponds, CB, Indiana.

#57 overall (Bears) - Gennings Dunker, OC, Iowa.

#60 overall (Rams) - Chris Bell, WR, Louisville.

#75 overall (Dolphins) - Elijah Sarratt, WR, Indiana.

#87 overall (Eagles) - Nadame Tucker, EDGE, Western Michigan.

#207 overall (Texans) - Hezekiah Masses, CB, California.

#232 overall (Ravens) - Red Murdock, ILB, Buffalo.

#251 overall (Comp) - Fa'alili Fa'amoe, OT/OG, Wake Forest.

#252 overall (Comp) - Keyshawn James-Newby, EDGE, New Mexico.

(Ponds is my favorite player in this class. No surprise I take him. Dunker and Sarratt are other favorites (I think Dunker can play center, and Sarratt reminds me so much of Kupp), and Bell is a worthy gamble at #60; if he was healthy, he'd have been a first-round pick. Tucker might be a reach, but I think he could be an underrated edge rusher. Masses is skinny, but he's got an amazing sense of where the ball is in the air. Murdock has the NCAA record for forced fumbles, Fa'amoe is a big and athletic tackle/guard hybrid. Keyshawn James-Newby is an outstanding pass-rusher who needs work on his run defense.)

Won't do the roster; don't have the time. Feel free to shred me.

ESPN's NFL Live segment on the coaches who draw McVay's plays

If you get a chance to catch the NFL Live replay, they just had a good segment on the guys who have drawn McVay's plays over the years. Basically the guys who take his plays and then draw them in the playbook or on the week's script/ playbook for the players. They interviewed Cohen, Taylor, Scheelchase, etc...

BTW, they also mentioned that McVay will be on Monday's NFL Live show.

Stick or Twist at pick 13?

As I look at it, 13 is looking like a sweet spot to be in range of a difference maker or trade partner. IMO there are WRs who will make a difference available later is all.

When you have the kind of FA that we did, it screams trade in round 1 and pick 13 is far from an unlucky spot this year

Listening to Cossel, I feel strongly that we should wait on a WR. There are so many who fit our scheme deep into round 3. As he says, they come in all different flavours, X Z RAC inside/outside flex

With a trade down to the 20s, Omar Cooper and KC Concept would pick up 30 to 40 receptions minimum in our offense. Both could be more successful than Tyson because McVay will scheme them open and they both have the chops and plenty of juice

That’s not to say I wouldn’t trade up for a difference maker, especially if Sonny Styles is in reach! Can you imagine this defense with him in it?!

Im a huge fan of Rodriguez too if we did trade with someone for a 2027 first at the back end of round one early two. Either of those two LBs would elevate our defense day one. OK, Styles looks special both on film and in shorts! We are talking generational talent and one heck of a football player with pedigree, but Rodriguez is a hell of a prospect too and his film might be even better

If we do not trade up/down, I’m coming round to the idea of taking the second TE from Oregon or another CB at 13. Another impact CB would put this defense over the top. We could trade Parkinson whose value will never be this high again. Sadiq is a better blocker and it’s not even close across the rest of the metrics and tape
