I kind of have a feeling that Mcvay saw this short week game on the calendar. When he did so he earmarked some offensive wrinkles to throw at Zimmer.

The Vikings/ Bills game was sloppy. Minnesota had 5 personal fouls in the first twenty minutes. Those penalties kept Buffalo drives alive.

Cousins was bad when it came to feeling the blind side pass rush too. He had the ball stripped twice in the first half. Buffalo had a short field on all of their drives. I don’t recall zesting Minnesota playing such a sloppy game last year.

I haven't seen it mentioned, but the Rams do have an advantage - short week, and the Vikings have to waste time flying out to LA, hanging around the airport, sitting in a cramped plane (even first class type seats are cramped when you are NFL large). So that wastes a half day or so for them.

The Vikings' O reminds me a lot of the Redskins' O of the previous few years. Wonder why that is.... Cousins would light it up certain games, then others seemed to get rattled or was off in some ways....

It would be amazing to have a set up like Philip Rivers! A 2 hour each way commute would be horrible but man did he negate that with his vehicle.

Hope you're right. I expect the Vikes to put up high 20s or better. Their wideouts are gonna feast IMO. But yeah, if there ever was a time for our vaunted DL to take over a game it's this one. Got my fingers crossed and I'm hoping, of course, just don't like the matchup so we'll see.

This looks like a 30ish-20ish game again to me.

Maybe our very own resident ROD pilot @SWAdude could garner the assignment, and take the Vikes on the....ahem...scenic route over the turbulent skies. A little airsickness never hurt nobody. And besides, slip his higher -ups a quick Franklin, and I'm sure they'd be happy to look the other way.

...Edit: I mean, it's not like US airways are carefully monitored these days, or anything. Not like this would be a career-ending maneuver. Come on man. Take one for the team. :sneaky:

Wait! You were dumb enough to bet on the Vikings? Even I don't do that.
Really, I am taking the Vikings and the points. ALL NFL teams bounce back; VIkings easily shut down Rams last year, and will hold them under 23 again. Zimmer will beat down the Rams offense---as much as he can, but since he is a coach he actually can't beat down anything (LOL). Zimm is intense.....this is the game of the year. I expect it close, either way.

Rams are scoring over 23 pts. Book it.

And the rams easily shut down the Vikings until they had to send out Hatfield. Also don't see kupp dropping gimme 3rd down passes thrown his way.

Mcvay had this game circled. I'm expecting over 30 points from the rams.

Losing the two CB's (Talib possibly for the Season) that make this D tick has left me feeling a little sick.

Defensive line is gonna have to come to play for us to get the win. Someone needs to ball out on the EDGE.

The Vikings are missing their entire interior line (who started last year in a 24-7 win vs Rams). Only their tackles remain, who will be going against new edge rushing starters for the Rams (Ebukam/Easley).

The key as many have said will be the lines. Rams need to protect Goff so he can have time to find recievers like they did vs the Chargers. Rams barely touched Keenum on the Vikes last year. They need to apply consistent pressure vs Cousins.

Minnesota will not be overlooking the Rams... and they're wanting to quickly put the Bills game behind them and play this next game better. Will the Vikings receivers have a field day vs the Rams secondary without 2 starters? Not if the Rams can apply pressure. The Viking fans are not confident about their O-line.

Rivers > Cousins. Vikings thought Kirk was their savior. He's better than Keenum, but in no HOF talks.

Another good thing is that it's not in Minnesota.

I think the Vikings underestimated what Keenum brought to the table for them last year - that dude had a connection with her WRs, had the legs to scramble away from pressure AND still get the ball to one of his WRs.

IF - and its a big IF - we can get to Cousins, quickly, then we have a chance, but I can see quick passes to Rudolph (similarly to what Oakland did with Cook)

haha scroll up bro... I already responded LOL
Lol! Okay! Just got into Phoenix late night so just checking up on things right now! Hey sorry for the Predict the score Thread. I was asked to post. Not trying to get all in your Kool-Aid with no sugar bro!! Lol
I belong to two Viking forums, 3 Packer Forums, 1 Bear and here. Right now, I don't even see a Rams thread that has been started.

I am not sure what to expect out of this game. I can see it go either way. A tough as nails dog fight that ends with the last teams scoring winning. Or a complete blowout by the Rams. I don't see Vikings blowout of the Rams. Not at this point.
I agree with your assessments. I predicted an 8 point difference but it can easily be a closer gane all game long. Very interested to see what happens this Thursday! I’ll be traveling though :/
