Can't stress the importance of strength and conditioning coach Ted Rath and his staff going into the Viking game on only 4 days rest. How the team recovers to play another game so soon and how Rath has conditioned them from the start of TC to now is critical. How teams recover will show in the 4th qtr. where the Rams usually dominate. Rams don't have to travel or stay in a hotel, a big advantage.

Ted Rath and his staff have helped make the Rams #1. I believe he'll have the Rams ready.

Man, I don't hear you guys talking about our #1 WR Brandin Cooks. What did Watkins do in the game last year?
Nothing? I'm not even looking it up, because he was pretty much nothing for us all year, except or a few TD's.

I didn't think it was possible for Cooks to get more than a 1000 yards this year, and yet he is on pace to do just that, NOT COUNTING the pass interference penalties he draws because the CB's he beats are grabbing to prevent TD's. Gurley is benefiting from this in terms of TD's, but will also get huge yards in the games to come.

Our DLine will crush those posers in the interior Vikings Oline, and Cousins will be running for his life. Sure it would be great to have Peters and Talib in there, but we have to play with the guys we have. The Rams are going to kill the Vikings. BOOK IT

I'm with you on Cooks and this offense. as a whole they are better this season and the Vikings defense is not as good as last year. I can't see us pressuring Cousins though, he gets the ball out as fast as anybody. unfortunately I feel we need to start blitzing but with our Corners out that's going to be tough. control the ball on offense and stop the run, we do that and we win

Look at the last game Bills @ Vikings reaction "What they're Saying Thread" post I did...I posted several dark sarcastic comments from game time fans about how bad their Oline is, and that Cousins was getting crushed because of it. I expect the same from our DLine.

Different defense, the Bills bring a lot of pressure from the edge. We are incredibly weak at that

This game gives me some pause. One... the Viqueens should be pissed and fired up after that humiliation. Two... with our Lockdown corners sidelined we are going to see a different D. One with probably more blitz packages. Our D-line needs to wake up a bit. So far they haven't been world beaters. Hopefully this is the game they crank it up!

Keep in mind that they embarrasses us last year though .We may want to punch them in the mouth just as badly, especially our offense .

I just watched the Bills game, and if that Vikings team shows up, good Lord! Cardinals 2.0. I know there is a Vikings fan on the board here. What the heck happened to the Vikings? Was that a fluke or is Cousins going to get stripped and pressured due to a bad O-line the rest of the season? They just have a different look. Trap game or not, the Vikings look distracted.

Rivers > Cousins. Vikings thought Kirk was their savior. He's better than Keenum, but in no HOF talks.
I honestly think in this kind of game and probably against the Bills, Cousins is NOT better than Keenum. Keenum gashed us by being able to scramble around until his WRs broke free of our DBs that were lower quality than what they’ll be facing this time around.

Different defense, the Bills bring a lot of pressure from the edge. We are incredibly weak at that
The comments seemed to be centered around pressure up the gut. Sounds like their interior line is the soft area. That works for us.

The score looked embarrassing. If not for Hatfield being torched, that game is close and even winnable.

Lol @ Viking fans. More negative than we get after a loss. If you listen to them we win easily. This game's gonna be tough. We don't have our starting corners either. But we do have our offense. Their defense doesn't seem as dominating as last season. I think we score enough and win.

I dreaded this game originally before the season, not so much anymore; even with two starting cornerbacks out. Vikings have the advantage, but Philip rivers is a better quarterback than Cousins.

I won't be mad if we lose this game given our situation. Lol but I think you guys might be surprised by the Vikings this year. I've watched all three of their games. That tie was no accident and neither was their loss.

You'll see what I mean on Thursday, and you can quote me on that.

To me that tie was an accident. They shoulda lost that game. Bogus roughing call on Matthews saved the game for them.

And of course, "And I guess that was your accomplice in the the wood chipper."

Scandinavians are rather stoic and pessimistic by nature.

won't work if the QB sidesteps it because there is no edge pressure or the QB gets it out fast, which Cousins definitely can do. Their middle has been weak is true but so were the Chargers and the Cardinals. Missing that edge pressure is keeping this D from really feasting on these weak Olines. Keys to the game in my opinion, run the ball effectively while keeping their Offense off the field. Early in the game stop the run defensively. We get a good lead they will have to hold on to the ball for plays to develop. Then our Dline will kill them

He's having a so-so start this year by the way.

3/21
6/100
5/55

The 100 yard game was in the Steelers game which was a shoot out, and the other two games were very high scoring affairs as well.

175 yards on 14 catches and 1 TD.

Just keeps getting worse with more info. You have to fear for the kid.

Let's hope he gets the help he needs because something has happened and the wiring is wrong.

You have to consider the other guys too. Cooks not the sole WR, and your analysis doesn't include the PI penalties he draws by panicked DB's. Considering this, he's doing GREAT.
