I have a friend from N. Dakota. After every Viking win she posts the score and a Skol on Facebook. She is a sweet girl. But, to me she is representative of that entire fan base. Lots on the bandwagon right now. No celebration post this week though.

It's funny because it's pretty much the same roster. But, after one loss their fans suddenly think they suck.

The Vikings have some OLine injuries and the backups aren't so good.. it's a big part of the problem with them this year. Cousins isn't a great scrambler. He is more of a Marc Bulger type IMO.
oline isn't great but our pass rush has been cancelled out with quick throws. it's not Cousins scrambling, it's his quick release. Defense definitely needs a better edge rusher. The Bills apply a ton of pressure from the edge, we are very weak there. Still think we got a great chance to win with our offense

Dating back to last year, I've never seen a team fan base do willing to jump ship like the vikings. Their forums were in shambles after the first preseason game lol

FWIW i understand a fan base being upset over a loss like this week against the Bills, the Vikings thought they were playing Wattamatter U, however, on any given Sunday....They were not ready and did not match the Bills in energy and could not recover once behind.

The Vikings were also looking ahead to Thursday and the Rams are wounded, the offense is going to have to step up and the Defensive Line is going to have to put pressure on Cousins in order to give the new CB's some help.

I think the Vikings are worse than the Chargers on offense everywhere, except possibly WR - but IMO Keenan Allen is better than both Diggs and Thielen - so even that might be a wash. But OL/QB/RB - all Chargers.

The Vikings defense hasn't looked as formidable this year as it did last, but still looks pretty good. Real test for the offense. Hopefully our team wants some revenge over what happened last year.

But man the Football Gods - how in the world are we down Webster/Hill/NRC last year against them and now Talib/Peters - wtf?

I'm confident in Hill and Shields - will be much better than what we had last year - but our front 7 will need to step up this game.

Hopefully Barron can make it back this week. It'd be nice to have him out there for coverage.

I'm starting to forget he's on the team. I don't mean that as a snide remark...just as a reality. I don't know where he's at health-wise, but it'd sure be nice to have a healthy Mark Barron out there.

We have scored 33-34-35 points in three weeks and the teams played have gotten better if not same with first two. Raiders traveled to hot & humid Miami East coast early & gave them all they could handle & won on a trick play. I fully believe we will need a totally explosive offense that NEVER punts & doesn't need Field Goals. We need Time of possession like we held in first half yesterday. Chargers are as good a team as the vikes are. Glad the Chargers were missing there top DE. Our OL did not have their best game . Havenstein had a couple whiffs & Whitworth needs to dominate ALL game long Thursday.

Peters was beat for a TD yesterday. WE need a more time consuming offense to keep our D more fresh. We Play up tempo a lot trying to get mis-matches & hope to wear a D out in the 4TH quarter. This gameplan will need to hold nothing back on offense as the vikes have a tough to cover TE in Rudolph & 3 very, very good WR's & Cookie at RB from FSU can be up or down but is best as a screen catcher & our LB's our still not caught up to speed as well as our FSU safety not playing as well as he did last season early.#20 is taking bad angles & not tackling well so far this season.

A TGIII led game plan with Brown subbing and giving good OL play & no field goals as we will score our usual 30-38 points and we beat the vikes as our D without Berry & Talib can hold vikes to 4 TD's. This will be a shootout with middle defensive pressure & better LB play & tackling & we go 4-0. Elevated play by RAMS to cover for healing CB's we need for SB with the Chiefs. Sorry so long. Goff will have a career game with great OL play to lead RAMS to victory.Cooks will go off too. #1 D as of 3 games. No more injuries & pray for quick healing & a Barron return soon at LB. Then we get Greg Z. back and we go lights out. Last 3 times RAMS went 3-0 was 1985 NFC Championship Dieter Brock & ED against SB shuffle Bears & then two Super Bowls in 1999 & 2001. Super Bowl in Atlanta has our name all over it again.

The same Rams who got their ass kicked by us last year? Its 1 loss. Better to do it now rather than later.

We'll be fine.
---------------

Revisionist history I suppose. They barely won after our entire secondary dropped dead suddenly in the 4th quarter and they were able to freely pass to Theilen. But sure, kicked our ass... whatever makes you sleep better buddy. Hopefully we have no more injuries to our secondary this week. I am confident enough in Shields and Hill to get the job done with how well our offense is playing. But if one of them goes down... it's repeat of last year.

I was just going to bring this up, you said it much better. Also the fact that we're a much better team than last year .

I have had this game circled since the season started. Really sucks we are down 2 CB and K. I am worried about this game but also now a little more excited.

This will be a good test for a few things. How does Wade adjust, if at all. And who steps up. Does someone take over a game? Maybe Suh, Donald?

Minnesota is a loaded team IMO, this should be a good test for both the players and coaches. Its a shame the 2 best teams in football IMO have to square off on Thursday with the short week. This would of been an ideal Sunday night game.

Could CB Trae Waynes miss Vikings’ game against the Rams?

http://www.1500espn.com/news/2018/09/trae-waynes-miss-vikings-game-rams/

Cornerback Trae Waynes left the Vikings’ 27-6 loss in the first quarter on Sunday because of an ankle injury and will undergo an MRI on Monday, according to coach Mike Zimmer. Waynes’ departure forced rookie Mike Hughes to take over as an outside cornerback, along with Xavier Rhodes, and left Mackensie Alexander as the nickel corner. Alexander and Hughes have split time at the nickel in part because of Alexander’s struggles this season.

The only other healthy cornerback on the Vikings’ depth chart Sunday was undrafted rookie Holton Hill. Veteran Marcus Sherels sat out because of a rib injury.............

Rhodes is not all that great. He and Hughes can be beaten. Alexander is not good. It evens the loss of Talib and Peters, both of whom gave the Rams a big advantage.

So the Vikings weak Oline vs the Rams great interior pass rush, sans outside rush, or the Rams great Oline vs the Vikings very good pass rush. I still think the Rams have an edge.

Goff has been borderline great. Cousins not so much, and if anyone knows Cousins strengths and weaknesses, it’s McVay. Edge Rams, again.
