Also? Fuck the refs. The Jets offense held and held and held, and not one fucking call goes against them.

I took that differently - because he said "if we didn't like that" after talking about Kupp underneath, makes me think Kupp was the primary
I have no idea how you say that. He said that the like Everett match up and if they didnt like it, they had Kupp. How thats perceived as Kupp being primary is beyond me

He should be able to go through his progressions and still not get sacked. That's a professional QBs job.

But why are you automatically assuming he gets sacked by going somewhere else with the ball??

If he puts this ball on Reynolds body its a completion.

No, he's saying Cooper is the secondary. That's why he leads with Everett and then talks about Cooper's route "if we didn't love that." "That" means the Everett matchup. Goff absolutely should have gone to Kupp. What I'm saying is that Goff isn't the sort of player to go away from his primary read when he thinks he has the matchup. McVay should have called a play that used Woods or Kupp on a short route as the primary read. You have to know your QB.

If I'm Lawrence, I'm excited. He's a Southern kid who has spent his life in TN, GA, and SC. The Jaguars have better talent than the Jets. I'd much rather go to Jacksonville than the Jets.

Jerry I appreciate your opinions but on this you are dead wrong. That kid can like the South all he wants but comparing the NYC market to Jacksonville is frankly laughable that I don’t even know where to start.

The legacy and buzz he would create along with being in the media empire of the world with his talent would be through the roof.

With Jacksonville-ho hum.

I honestly can’t believe what I witnessed. The D got embarrassed and let the Jets make long drives and chew up a ton of time. They are not as advertised. The O has a few good players, and Goff is Goff. An accident waiting to happen.
The Jets benched Darnold and he played 5 times better than our Golden Boy. He has no leadership skills and is certainly regressing.
When you can’t consistently get a 5 yard dump off pass without throwing it directly into the hands of the D, it’s very concerning. The int. was going to be 5 yards behind Woods on a 10 yard pass. It looks like McVay doesn’t trust him to throw the ball downfield.
As for McVay , his game management is terrible. Why the hell do you use your last TO with 2:15 left ? Totally stupid
You save 15 seconds but lose your safety blanket. Not that it would make a difference, but the Rams could’ve got the ball back with 25 or 30 seconds left if he doesn’t call it. That is if the #1 defense could make a stop. Doubtful today. I told my son that they would make a furious comeback , only to let us down in the end. I’ve seen it too many times to count.
Just a pathetic effort by all today except Woods and Acres. If everyone had the heart and desire of Woods , this team would be unbeatable.
I can’t remember the last time a
0-13 team beat a division leader on the road. It just doesn’t happen. I thought they might play down to the Jets and win by 10 or so. I never thought they would lay down and let a pathetic organization push them up and down the field.
40-3 beat down by the Hags last week on the road tells you who the Jets are. I’m embarrassed as a fan , but wonder how many of the Rams players are seeing red right now. A lot less than you’d think is my guess. Game checks should be donated to charity.
That’s my PG version of what I witnessed. Glad I waited 3 hours to post.

What do you honestly think happens if he puts that ball on Reynold's body Deiter?
You're embarrassing yourself now, the ball is almost out of Goff hand. Either way, you want to take a shot on 3rd down, you had better make sure you are picking up the 4th, not dialing it up for a matchup of Everett who's less reliable than Jared Cook

As a person born and raised in the South, I have no interest in living in NYC. And I wouldn't want to be part of the dysfunctional Jets organization. If Lawrence is as good as we all believe he'll be, money is no object. Do you think he'd rather play close to where he grew up for a franchise that is less dysfunctional than the Jets (especially with Coughlin gone) or for the Jets in a totally different area culturally?

But Lawrence probably isn't comfortable in that environment. That's what matters. There's other quarterbacks aside from Lawrence that New York can take (Fields, despite his shit game against Northwestern is an outstanding quarterback, Lance is a threat as a passer and rusher, and Wilson and Trask are rising.). If I'm a player, I'd go where I'm comfortable.

The problem I have with Jacksonville is the same one I have with the Jets: the ownership dysfunction. Khan's had a whole cycle of bad hires, a toxic environment, and a lot of players feeling quite alienated. If Lawrence is as good as I think he's going to be, he'll make Jacksonville competitive...but there's simply too much dysfunction for one player to handle, even a stud quarterback like Lawrence.

Tony Romo just said it best on the chiefs game..."Andy Reid always puts the game in the hands of his qb" now we all know most coaches do when they have an elite talent. So we need to ask ourselves some simple questions...

Why doesn't McVey do that?
Why does it seem he needs to scheme around Goffs shortcomings while other coaches play to their elite qbs skills? And Reid throwing sure game management with game on the line etc. I know Maholmes in his own class but it's not just him.

Is the problem Goff or McVey? Or worse both? I know my answer.

Im a rams fan for over 30 years. I love most sports down to freaking tennis lol but this team is the one that dominates my heart and always has my attention. I want to back Goff and I'm saying let's give him next year but I say again if I take off my rams shades I see the truth might be staring at me in the face.

Perhaps you should just stick to tennis...

defender was sitting on the route.....keep beating your drum....like I said a complete hack

Keep defending subpar QB play. Had a chance to win the game but couldn't get it done.

You know it doesn't make you more of a Rams fan to be all over Goff's nuts right?

You think Jacksonville is less dysfunctional than the Jets? Marrone and Gruden are 2 of the biggest asshats in the NFL and the owner wants to move to London. 1 winning season in last 13 years. Jets have at least had 4 winning (and 2 8-8's) in that same time frame

It's McVay for goodness sake. If you're gonna complain this much at least spell it properly.

It just auto does it...why be a ball buster???....is that really bothering you that bad??? The loss bothers me more than how people spell... So it's complaining??? Lol I'm on a board thats for opinion in a "vent thread" no less made for discussion, complaining, having opinions and overall venting, all standard but I get nabbed by the grammar police. My apologies I will do better.

Marrone is going to be fired. I actually think Gruden is a good OC, but he's gone too. The Jaguars will get to pick their next HC and GM based on Lawrence being their guy (assuming they don't fuck it up). They have a very good HB, an OL that is almost quality (they're missing one piece imo), and at least one good WR (Chark).

And the defense "got it done"? Couldnt stop the Jets from making a 1st down, TWICE on the last drive?
