What about Van Jefferson and Skoronic in Pittsburgh........oh......right.....
Wow you think they've been something we miss let alone good? Ok if that's the low standard then yeah we've fucked up a million times.

I don't think anyone disagrees with that.
I certainly am of the same mind as you.
Where people lose me is the black and white thinking of....if you DARE question anything, you are somehow lesser than or doubting the coach or GM or what people fired etc. Its not an either or thing.
At that point it just becomes religion.
Might as well not be on a fan board at that point.
I think it is more interesting to have opinions on picks and players. If not, why are we here?
To blame the refs for losses?
How do you drink it?
Oh I think that's 100% wrong I think it's a choice of words and a vehemence some use to those choices the coaches make.

Watkins and Robinson I would say past their prime. I think McVay got good football out of Cooks and especially Woods.
Watkins was 25 when the Rams let him go. Robinson and Woods just 29. My exact point was McVay gets rid of guys when they’ve peaked.
That’s why Tutu will be gone

I forgot the blue font.....I guess the "...oh....right". didn't hit home.
Skow is doing his punt coverage thing and thats it.
Van Jefferson has totally disappeared.
I was agreeing with them doing nothing post Rams.

I agree with them not being afraid to let guys go.
Which is a very good thing.
Wow, no idea Watkins was only 25 when he left the Rams. Seemed he'd been around for years by the time they got him.
The other two clearly peaked.

Fair enough.
I certainly don't do that.
I know Ram fans that wanted McVay fired the last two years when the Rams were playing badly.
That is crazy in my estimation.
Saying you think someone blew it or something doesn't make sense is not venomous, just an opinion.
The draft has become very interesting and entertaining with Snead.

Seeing how there are multiple holes in the WR room, are there any FA or WR in the draft you particularly like as a great fit for the Rams?

I didn’t say they were done, i said they wouldn’t amount to much.
Like Woods, who’s on his 2nd team since the rams and if 20 catches is doing good then you clearly don’t see much.
My bad I did confuse Cooks who was the previous topic, I responded too quick for your goal post move
You and I interpret this statement differently then

"Point remains, when McVay dumps a wr it’s pretty much over"

Lesson for the Rams is identify the dogs who want the ball and can fight through contact, no matter their size. Remove the rest from your board, as they are distractions. Slot them based on measurables and take one when things line up.
Yes my brutha. No more Beta softies. Tutu is the last of em.

Woods hasn't done too bad with Houston
I would add that Woods was and is a high level competitor. Lots of these skill guys he’s released haven’t done much elsewhere I believe because they didn’t have enough of that “you can’t guard me” dog mentality.

The Rams have corrected that it seems.

So first you move the goal posts and now you’ll cherry pick a sentence? Yes their growth, their ceiling, their max? Over.
Just like I was saying.
Done and out of the league? Never said it.
Keep trolling though

Yeah not saying you do but there are some and there are enough that the more fair minded guys and gals get defensive IMO.

I’ll never understand why they drafted Tutu in the first place. His game, his size, and his physicality was already known when he was taken. He was never a McVay type WR, so why was he taken in the first place?

I’m probably wrong, but I think they drafted tutu to be an elite punter returner while also being a part time / depth WR who could be used as occasional gadget guy, sweep runs and deep routes. When the punt returner option became an obvious no go that first year, he got shelved a bit….since he’s not a prototypical McVay WR. It was never going to Happen for Him as a pure FT Ram WR. Only upon injuries and then back to bench.

IMO, the Rams drafted Tutu to play a DeSean Jackson type of role for McVay. After he arrived and they realized the issue he had adding and maintaining weight early. He took one big hit and was injured. While out I believe that they noticed that they like all 3 WRs being flexible enough to play all 3 spots and effectively block so he fell a bit out of favor.

I think Snead was sick with Covid during the draft and making final calls from his garage. To be honest I wondered if his phone connection went down when they were on the clock.:laugh1:

He's a good WR. Probably just not a great fit for Rams today.

Tutu never fit this McVay’s offense. That’s the main reason he wasn’t used.

Another reason, predictably was his size. McVay had to try to get him free releases which meant adjusting what he wanted to do.

I doubt Tutu blows up with another offense. Man up on him and push him around. He will always be a #3 receiver or lower.

McVay played Kupp over Nacua and he doesn’t even want Kupp anymore. How good can Tutu really be?

I don't understand because the Rams has Tavon Austin when McVay arrived and he wasn't used either. I was puzzled when they drafted Tutu. But I liked him. He made seemingly big plays in crucial times, especially against the whiners.

Yep, I don't get either. He's produced when he's on the field.

Something didn't click.

If they move on, I'll be rooting for him wherever he ends up. Just like Kupp.
