Animated address instead of confrontation? I actually did try to think of a milder word & decided on “confrontation”.

As for the rest, I don’t have any proof of what “many coaches “ at the NFL level think, but I do know Tom Coughlin’s been gone for a while and the Jimmy Johnson story about what he’d do if a valuable player fell asleep in a meeting vs. a replacement level player.
All true.
Well, rules are never evenly enforced.
Conversation is what it looked like to me.....but, hopefully Shanny is losing the locker room.

Beginning of the end.

These things are not little but a symptom of a disease.

The disease of a lost locker room.

Harbaugh went thru the same thing with Krapernick and Smith.

I really do not like this darkness in my heart.
Whiner Fever.....symptoms include an elevated sense of entitlement and accomplishment, prone to choking and douche chills.

I have never thought ayuck was all that. He wouldn’t even be the #2 WR on a healthy Rams WR corps and probably not on the seahawks , bengals, or dolphins either. There’s a number of teams on which I wouldn’t consider him the #1 guy.
WAY overpaid.

My prediction:
This will be the last contract he signs and will be out of the league by the time it expires.

It’s a long season and you need a quality roster, quality coaching, health and a certain amount of luck to win a Lombardi. If you add the pressure of having (arguably) the best NFL roster the past 4 years and a big ‘L(oser)’ chain hanging around your neck it’s a thing of beauty if you despise the 69ers.

Couldn't have said it better.

The best case scenario will be the whiners knocked out again this season then having CMC, Bosa and Purdy eat up about a third of the whiners entire salary cap the next season

I checked cap spaces earlier this year. The 49ers looked like they were gonna be in cap hell next year. Now it looks manageable. But it seems like they deferred a lot to 2026. A number of contracts really balloon up. Williams, Bosa and Deebo's will be over 110 million. And most their core is already aging. Dead cap hits are huge if they start cutting guys. When they pay Purdy I think they're gonna have to consider unpopular cuts and bite the bullet like we did after 2022.

What is fucked up is even though Gurley had burned them prior the Rams were next in line to pay his ass and go get him. Sometimes not getting what you want can be a good thing.
That also goes for trying to get Brian Burns, trade up for Brock Bowers and a bunch of other moves that, thankfully, never worked out.

Yes, as much as I like Bowers, having Verse, Fiske and whichever 3rd we were offering up (Corum/Kitchens) is far superior to one guy.

Yeah it needed to happen the way it did. We still need more pieces on defense too at NT and CB at a minimum. But I can't imagine how ugly this defense would be if we had moved up for Bowers.

This season is a reality check for us on how a rebuild might take a little time. Still think this year's roster is significantly better than last season's but key injuries derailed things and this time around we don't have AD in the locker room.
