SF losing Hargrave before facing what should have been winnable games vs New England and Arizona... Not good. Both those teams can run the ball. Here's hoping we see 200+ hung on those fucks the next couple of weeks.

Was reading that Hargrave might be done for the season. Now Mccaffrey is out for maybe up to 6 more weeks and Purdy is hurting.

I definitely think its real. Those extra games have to take more toll on the body. Plus, its less recovery time.

I dunno. I just get the impression that Aiyuk is not happy in SF. He got the big contract after dragging things out unnecessarily. He mighta really wanted to go to Pittsburgh but the Steeler's compensation wasn't enough for the team to make the trade. He may have finally realized he had no choice but to take the money to stay in SF.

A perfect scenario would be if he underperforms. Decreasing his trade value. Then the 49ers finally realize he's more of a problem than he's worth and trades him for a 4th round pick. To the Steelers. For less compensation than they originally offered.

As for the rest, I don’t have any proof of what “many coaches “ at the NFL level think, but I do know Tom Coughlin’s been gone for a while and the Jimmy Johnson story about what he’d do if a valuable player fell asleep in a meeting vs. a replacement level player.

Samuel, Williams both questionable for Niners

Deebo Samuel indicated a decision on his status likely will come closer to Sunday's kickoff. Trent Williams, however, has a toe injury, putting his availability up in the air.

But left tackle Trent Williams was a surprise addition to the injury report Friday. He sat out Wednesday's practice because of an illness, then injured his toe in Thursday's session. Williams was seen moving slowly out of the locker room after Friday's practice and is listed as questionable.

“He came in this morning with it sore," coach Kyle Shanahan said. "It acted up a little bit in practice yesterday, and it was just too sore for him to go today."

Safety Talanoa Hufanga, who just returned from a torn ACL last weekend against the Los Angeles Rams, rolled his ankle in Thursday's practice and he, too, is questionable.
