The Rams took a page from the Browns book when they defended the Lions by clogging up the middle of the field and forcing Goff to throw more to the outside. But the Rams don’t have the Browns Linebackers.

They can do the same against the Niners, but it feels like it’s time to give Speights a shot.

Maybe, the Whiners pass blocking has not been great across the board but they are still road graders in the run game. I hope Speights gets the call though.

Shanahan offenses (old and current) can plug and play just about anyone into their RB spot and get production. Doesn't really matter who the player is for success. Of course, McCaffrey takes it to a whole other level but the offense is going to get it's rushing yards more often than not no matter who's in the backfield. It does take a bit of pressure off of pass defense though as Mason isn't the crazy threat McCaffrey is. Defenses will still have to man up and take on that oline unfortunately

They should do that, clog the middle and play one deep safety. Force Purdy to throw deep and push their o line into uncomfortable pass block situations. They already struggle there, why not exploit it?

No CMC and no Dweebo, and aiyuk still looks rusty.

The Rams players should be pissed off at last week's performance and they should come to play and win our home opener. If they can somehow accomplish that, it would be damaging to the whiners and give us a chance to stay alive until we get some of our players back from injury.
