Maybe because it’s forecasted to be 2 degrees during that game.

They may think fans won’t show up
I wouldn't. I have sat in the upper tier of Arrowhead when it was 30 degrees warmer. It was unbearable. I left for warmth in the 3rd quarter in a KU vs Kstate game.

Cobie Durant scares me as a cover CB. He got burned so bad last week.Just like the end of 2022.Pkys he doesn’t tackle well on the Edge!! That’s why Kendrick starts there.
Kendricks does not start anymore. Durant has been starter. Kendricks got benched weeks ago.

Oh I think the Rams have one of the best 3rd down rates under Morris for 3rd and 5 or less. They seem to do a really good job on those downs. Makes up for the 3rd and long conversions. Plus when they are a yard short, that helps the 3rd down conversion rate.

I don't think the 3rd and 7+ is as bad as you think. It may not be what you (or any of us want) but my point as been the massive overreaction to what is happening in 3rd and long (traditionally defined as 7 or more yards). People wanted him fired, people called him stupid, retarded, no b@lls, a coward. They'd second guess and say he should do things are are not part of the Fangio philosophy.

3rd and long under Morris is middle of the pack, not great but not bottom 5 and he needs to get fired. And 3rd and 6 or less is better than the 3rd and 7 or more. However, I don't think it is a huge enough difference for the level of hate Morris gets.

2021-23
3rd and 6 or less is 11th
3rd and 7+ is 14th
3rd and 1 (a yard short) is 21st

I watch almost every Bills game with my wife as well so I see the difference. The Bills have one of the best defenses and imo it is because they are extremely agressive with their CBs and rushing tactics. And they do not have the best CBs either with White going down but Rasul Douglass did help. Baltimore is also almost always in the top tier defensive wise due to their aggressiveness.
Bills defense on of softer zone defense in NFL last few years. It is talked about. They are a cover-2 team playing it far more than NFL average. They are below average in cover-0 and cover-1

And the Bills fans - some of them hate it and have hated it for its soft zones. Bills a soft zone team, not as much as Rams but not that far apart. But they do have solid CBs and have had and Pro Bowl-level safeties last few years.

And Bills fans got their wish, Frazier is gone, and McDermott calling plays. And he's playing a soft defense very well

So agree to disagree on the scheme of the Bills defense. And this is a sampling ... it's like the sample of Rams fans that wanted RM fired. It's a vocal group but they think they were justified in the things they said, too.

I really believe Raheem's best shot will be with Atlanta. I also believe the Falcons will trade for Justin Fields and Raheem will have Eric Bieniemy as his OC and Pep Hamilton as his Assistant Head Coach/QB Coach IMHO.

For now I am just glad to see him on Atlanta's interview tracker.

Bienemy would be an interesting pairing for him. I presume if he gets the gig he'll give Pleasant the DC role but given the way he's been squeezed out in interviews he may have a DC with more name recognition lined up.

Alright - there you have it.

-/If that’s the case they should pick on him & run at him all they can ? Raheem will have to protect him, maybe that’s what there doing with Hoecht ?

This will be a big tell on what The Rams future should look like ? You obviously know more about myself right now. I went on a drink fest & was away from the game this last weekend as well. That Giants game was to suspenseful.
Maher hopefully can kick good inside a dome.

The numbers seem true it's not nearly as big of a thing as people make it out to be, as are most thi gs with Morris. It's just that those plays are more memorable.

One good thing, imo.. Rah getting interviews and Evero *not* getting interviews.

He's the #1 choice for a replacement for me.

I'm leaning Henderson, his group has been great and it's putting ADs guy in charge at the end of his career.

Yesterday, I mentioned Ejiro Evero as a personal favorite for DC replacement should Morris get a HC job. Earlier today, there were reports that Evero was requested for an interview by Atlanta.

He tried, he just got blocked.
Perfect - he was a JOKE !! He wasn’t a Mcvay guy either.Mcvay kicked the can. The Rams got lucky with Raheem Morris. Mcvay will tell everyone what a blessing he has been for him as a HC!!

Zero is still ZERO!! Try try again, look at him NOW!

Just never liked the guy much. He did well with The Rams though for a season.

I think Durant starts with Spoon. Kendrick may rotate in, he has been last few weeks. But

As I said before ... too hard to know ... I gave 3-4 scenarios ... but I don't know who they want at star --- Lake? If so then Years would start for an absent Fuller. If they want quicker Cb-type at star Durant would play it and Kendrick would probably start ... but the X factor is Duke Shelly. What if he looks good in practice? What if his experience in NFC North would give him edge? So, don't know.
Sheely could have been activated for simply special teams... so, just saying I don't know ... Not sure anyone but McVay & Co.

I don't know of RM gets a job or not. Probably will but never say never. It could be RM again. If he goes...no idea ... Jimmy Lake? Pleasant? Henderson? Gun to my head it would be Lake.
Well - IMO good try’s !! I like Kendrick & Durant. Rotate Lake in. The Tams need a young CB with a high draft pick status.
Really want a sideline to sideline MLB to go with Ernest Jones.Lake isn’t big enough.
—Yeast might be the best option? Jordon Fuller with a hurt ankle will make him slower & Subject to the Deep TD balls. He is excellent, but speed is his achilles as it is.

Troy has been playing. Rosenbom though has done ok ? I think that is something The Rams know what they want to do because of the injury front.
—They are trusting in Reggie. They know how smart Fuller is & it’s all about getting that ankle right. I remember how incredible the Momba was with getting his ankle right. Taping helps support it.

Don’t know why I think we’ll see him a lot on Sunday? Say as you will ?

Lake won’t be The Rams DC for sure. Then again what to I know ?
— Heard on the JB show asking the same question is who will Raheem take with him.
—Eric Henderson is a guy he would want to give a chance.

If it’s Aubrey I could see it being Lake. Shula has to be a choice as well for as long as he has been a Rams D’ coach under Mcvay.

Kendrick will play he gets snaps last few weeks ... have not tracked if it is certain packages or they split time or what it is but my guess is Durant starts with Kendrick getting some snaps

Guys with defensive line backgroud don't often get a shot, usually they are position coaches for Lbers or secondary ... only about 3-4-5 former dline coaches are DCs.. but if it is Henderson ... no complaint from me.

I wouldn’t either. I’m in PA and it gets that low once or twice a year, maybe. I don’t even like walking my dog in it.

I really think they want Durant their but his lack of tackling and overall physicality keep it from happening consistently.
That is my sense of it ... at least some of the time ... Rams have used more than one guy there over the years. They play base D (4 DBs) only about 25% of the time. Rest of the time some form of nickel and there are the different packages... technically with Lake in th nickel/star it's a big nickel. When Durant was in or any CB for that matter it's, in general terms, a normal nickel ... he's a CB.

When Durant is in they will send him on a blitz.

I think they do have 2, 3, 4 flavors of nickel and I think you would *like* to have him in one of them. But this year, late in year it's been the big nickel or we can say the "big star" package.

Again my definition of a soft zone against the "statisticians definition of a soft zone" is completely different.

I see the Bills frequently play tough coverage with their CBs. Only a few times a game do you see both CBs playing 7 yards back (my definition) on 3rd and long.
