Hey guys I'm going to keep it brief as I'm devastated by this loss to me it was all about inexperience from coach to players so can't really say much we played well enough defensivlely to win but in the end defense ran out of gas our offense is where the inexperience showed from Mcvey to goff but I don't say that to attack them just facts hopefully it's another step in the right direction and experience under there belt. Wad did have the experience and it showed with the way his defense played. Proud of this team and not only is it defeats ting that we lost but the Super Bowl was rough to cause I feel like I'm dying with 103 temperature flu and factor in Rams loss and the flu is borderline stroke. Congrats guys on a great season we can gripe and vent but the only positive I will take is that it's another step in the right direction. Nyquiiiiiiil Time!!!!!!!

While we are venting....

McVay was completely out coached. Even if Gurley was hurt, CJ is a capable back with big game / super bowl pedigree. Use him. Why so many passes vs. runs? Why no runs to the outside to keep their vertical defense honest, which was combatting our horizontal pre-snap motion to great effect? True, Anderson might not be the best outside runner. But if Gurley was hurt, why not run Cooks on a jet sweep or something? I counted two outside runs all night - one to Gurley and a jet sweep to Woods. Both were successful. Why not try other or similar plays? Why so many play action passes when the run game wasn't even working and it was clear that the Pats were getting pressure... long developing plays were not the answer.

Goff was not nearly good enough. The pass protection was even worse.

If Gurley was fully healthy, McVay has committed an almost fireable offense for being so pass happy yet again and refusing to use him. On his limited carries, Gurley looked dangerous. But for a weak holding call it briefly seemed like the Rams were going to get right back into the football game on the back of TGIII. As good as McVay is, I fear his few flaws might be severe and fatal.

Edleman is a baller. But there's no excuse for how badly he torched us. It's hard to be too hard on Phillips and the defense, however, as they played extremely well.

Clearly Wade was letting them have Edelman and it worked just fine.

Brady was rarely pressured. Brady pressured is likely a win for the Rams.

We weren't winning anything unless we fixed the offense. Brady got pressured plenty. They had 3 points going into the 4th. They had 10 points before we threw the game away. The defense was not the issue. Our offense did not do the job.

Agreed, in fact getting back will be tougher than getting there this year in fact much more difficult. I am 55 and L.A Rams have never won all Ram teams only once in four. I am very aware that the opportunity must be seized. Ask Dan Marino[/QUOTE]

Good call. I well remember that SB when Montana beat Marino and I was thinking to myself, 'don't worry Dan you'll be back and win a bunch of these.' Never happened. Even with a HOF coach like Shula and the best WR corps in the league.
Don't want to be negative here but Marino, like Goff, was in his second year and looked like he had the world by the tail.
Hopefully his legacy will not be ours going forward.......

We got out played. Not by much but enough.

This is a young team with an ultra young coach that has progressed more than any of us likely ever imagined in two years.

IMO - if our O-line played better, we win that game. Let's just hope that our young linemen can pick it up and be the strength we need. Sure our young QB missed a couple opportunities and we had a couple crucial dropped passes that would have made this a different game but I'm looking forward to progress that I think can and will happen. Stick with the system. Stick with the plan and we are only scratching the surface. Go Rams!!!

Another vent: I don't think we had a single target to Everett or Higbee, although I am open to correction on that. Why? Come on, McVay. Not even an attempt to get the TEs involved? I just can't believe how poor the offensive showing was tonight. As much as you have to tip your hat to the Patriots and their defensive game plan, come on. Not nearly good enough, Sean.

It was like our offense was in a paper bag swinging wildly. Totally lost. No answers.

I wish the Chiefs had won two weeks ago. I would be so less pissed right now if it wasn't the Patriots and it was at least an entertaining shoot out. That game was excruciatingly brutal to watch .

A mile?? That was a few light-years.

We needed Goff to step up and compete at a high level while facing pressure but doesn't seem like hes capable of that.

really? didn't think Goff played that bad considering the pressure by New England all game (and McVay for abandoning the run game)

put the ball on Cooks twice in the endzone (albeit one of them was late but catchable)

we really missed Kupp this game and it'll be nice to get him back next year. hopefully he can stay healthy

A pressured Brady isn't what I saw. A pressured Brady likely gets our defense scoring points. A pressured Brady is how to beat them. That happened 5 times this season.

I think we would have beaten the Chiefs. Much better match up for our roster. Not that it means anything now.

There was one target to Everett. A three yard out, which was underthrown. It was sad.

Horrible. No offensive line. Got beat like a drum. McV run the ball 3X in a row. Bellicheat out thought you and knew you couldn't resist drawing up a pass play in three downs. He beat you.

Cooks you had two drops this game. Young, but being paid to lead.
