I would absolutely hate to lose Bones.
I know changes are needed after a hard year and our special teams struggled with consistency the same way the whole team did.
I don't think losing Bones can anywhere be seen as a plus for our team.

I don’t want him gone either, but McVay was beyond pissed at that fake against Arizona.
I wonder if McVay is one of those kind of the guys whom wear out their welcome after a time

Bones had complete autonomy under Fisher when it came to the bottom of the roster. McVay's a bit different, he likes to mix in some guys with upside (sometimes over teams excellence) so it's more of a mixed bag.
I'd guess that Bones will go where he feels he gets that autonomy or as close to it as possible. The more pure teams guys you have on that bottom of the chart the better your teams will be.
