Just not sure he's gonna get his way this year River. With drafting the wideout. I think the extent of team needs will change that equation. He's got his toys from last year, so figure the plan will be fix Robinson and get those two 2nd round picks going. Then Jefferson is worth more and they can flip his ass or Robinson's ass at the deadline and reform this group the way he wants it in 2023.

But... If they move him now I could give a fuck tbh. Because I think he's lacking in the dog dept.

The long shot would be OBj accepting an incentive laden 1 year show-me contract immediately following a Van Jeff day 2/3 of the draft trade. :laugh1:

Yeah agreed. That might do it. If they feel OBJ is physically back then yeah they could move Jefferson for that ham sandwich.

I would love if that was true but if you visit Spotrac and Over-the-Cap; and look at currently projected 2024 cap space by team (and it's WAY-early), the Rams are no better than middle-of-the-pack.

Yep. We’ve done good clearing space in 2024, but we are middle of the pack as you say.

People whine about the losses of players on defense now they want to do the same on offense too. Why are people so intent on tanking this season? Why do they think draft choices are better than proven veterans, especially young ones? These same people criticize Sneads first round picks. IMO it makes zero sense. I'd rather have Jefferson than Robinson. Jefferson already has a connection with Stafford and Robinson doesn't. Why do you think they are trying to move him? Like I said I think Robinson will be a draft day trade.

You people should compare Rob Woods and Jefferson. In 2021 Jefferson had better production than Woods had in any of his first 5 years. Jefferson had a breakout year in 2021 and you want to can him because he got hurt last year. By that metric lets can Kupp too because he got hurt as well. Jefferson isn't being moved. That's pure nonsense. Why spend the time to develop a good WR only to trade him away once he proves his worth? Only to start over with another rookie?

Jefferson at X, Atwell at Y, Kupp at Z is a better trio than most here realize. All three can threaten a secondary at all three levels. It almost guarantees that Stafford will face a lot of 2 deep zones, opening up the short and medium routes and with 2 of the secondary deep then you would expect a lot of YAC. Sure sent all three WR deep and one will be single covered. Or let it clear out the top and Stafford throws underneath to Higbee or Akers for big YAC.

The Rams finally get 3 good WRs and people still aren't happy. Don't count me in that group. Atwell and Skowronek both are still improving. If McCutcheon can emerge like Atwell took a couple of seasons to develop he can be another Robinson type of WR.

A-freakin-men!

And I still expect to see the Rams draft a WR

Your point on Van Jefferson was excellent. I’m not giving up on either Allen Robinson or Van Jefferson. I think what The Rams have done to this point is perfect.
Why Allen Robinson was brought in for his price & position SHOCkED me.I went with it & always thought Van Jefferson was going to be healthy in 2022.I thought Robinson’s SIGNING stopped any CHANCE of OBJ.
Tutu Atwell is still not real ready, but ready. You didn’t bring up King Long. Those players & Van should help open up the passing & running game.
Atwell is a burner that Stafford just lets it fly.

LOL. That's just sooo enlightening. The Rams lose 13 players from our 2022 roster and will shortly lose another dozen to free agency, yet a Van Jefferson trade is what will constitute the Rams tanking ? LMFAO

Nice strawman!

Yeah really.
He didnt say that, you know it.
Debate is one thing, strawman arguments are just not cool.

He most certainly implied it. And it's all right there in his own words.
The Rams lost Edwards, Mayfield & Brewer on offense, by far the biggest & most important losses are defensive & special teams players, but tanking wasn't mentioned until Van Jefferson came up. He then went on to say how valuable a player Van Jeff is and any thought of his being moved is nonsense.
I'd say you need a better understanding of what a 'straw man' representation actually is.

Implied it? No, you said that he said it.
Its a straw man comment. Twisting what someone said instead of discussing what they actually did say is a classic straw man.
Get over yourself man

Nothing twisted here except for your thought process. GFY.

Cool, personal attack on top of straw man comment. You're on fire today. Maybe you can throw in a political comment and have the trifecta

I stand by my post, ... and your bullying tactics aren't going to fly with me.

I don’t know straw -Man.

What about Van Jefferson though. In 2021 he really stepped up & faded a little at the end. He was The Rams main deep threat. DJ1 never really made an impact.
Tutu was a bust & Robert Woods was complaining of not getting the ball.
—Along came OBJ & scored a TD in almost every game he played with The Rams.

Cooper Kupp was The Best WR in The NFL in 2021. Van should get some credit for being productive.

Now in 2022 he came on late, but he obviously isn’t a #1 WR. He never got a chance to play with Cooper Kupp & Allen Robinson.

If anyone wants to ask me? I say I would like all 3 WR’s to play together in 2023 & see how things go. I’d like & Bigger RB for instance Zack Charbonnet. He would make dealing with Cam Akers CONTRACT year easier.
I’d HATE not having a solid backup & Williams is a BIG QUESTION MARK !
