That's enough to cover Danielle Hunter's roster bonus if we traded for him, ... or we could apply that money towards his free agent status should he be released, although no guarantee he would pick the Rams as a free agent.
Curious…Trade what??

One last thing on woods and why he is just a great dude and a great teammate. Everyone talks about the moment/moments with kupp but what he did for Obj too... a lesser person could have been jealous envious or thinking I see what's happening here he could have kept that in and just continued to stand on the sidelines during the Superbowl but instead he went to the locker room to talk console and have a good cry with Obj who through a freak accident basically took his place and was all the talk for a while. Robert Woods is a great human being he will be missed. I'm glad he got to pick where he went and got a ring.
Forever a Ram Bobby Trees!!!

The Rams have a 3rd & 4th this year or a 4th this year and a 2nd next year. The real benefit will be clearing about $19M in cap space. The Rams immediately extend Hunter reducing his cap this year. Sign OBJ to a $1M + incentives this year as a place holder to negotiate a regular contract next year.

If Les can pull off a trade for Hunter, sign OBJ after getting Robinson, keeping Noteboom, Allen and Shelton on the OL, and Gay that would be an outstanding off season. Even without Hunter if they can grab a legit edge this draft this team once they restructure AD's contract it would be a masterful job as GM. Keeping the SB window wide open.

Good lord that is some three dimensional chess thinking.

I love it.

Dallas is like a hot chick at the bar. She gets a lot of attention but once you get up the nerve to talk to her you quickly realize she’s such an airhead the attraction quickly goes away.
There are advantages to the airheads...

Damn. This sucks balls.

Woods is a class act all round, and one hell of a player.

You will be missed Bobby Trees!

You don't trade premium picks and pay a huge roster bonus for even a premium player. That's why we got nothing for Woods.

Amari Cooper is heathy, younger and more expensive yet he went for a 5th rounder to Cleveland. So getting a 6th for Woods all things considered seems right. Doesn't mean everyone will like the trade but the compensation fits.

My only problem is timing. I dont like trading Woods before OBJ is resigned. Because now that Von left who is best friends with OBJ, maybe he's slightly less inclined to stay in LA. I think ultimately he will, but its a risk trading Woods before we sign OBJ. If Odell leaves then we are not in an ideal situation at WR. We're one injury away from looking like the 2nd half of the Super Bowl all over again.

Woods knew that he would be traded at the end of the 2022 season when he signed the contract. It's obvious by the way it's structured. It just came a season early, but he still got his ring.
