Not a big fan of Ramsey at the moment. Between his un-professionalism (attack of Rapp), missed assignment (see long pass to TE Andrews that lead to first FG), and lack of effort (long run by Freeman resulting in FG), he may cost the Rams a win going forward. He needs to play more consistently and show some leadership instead of acting like a teenager on the field.

I couldn't AGREE more! If Ramsey is gonna be punching his own players on the field, then he BETTER be an elite game changer EVERY single game! EVERY game, not missing any. IF he plays like that, he can punch a RAM per week on the field, it's OK with me. LOL, and I'm not even kidding.

HOWEVER....

He's a GREAT corner, but if I'm being honest, he hasn't really had an incredibly elite year this season .... has he?

Some of yall make me laugh with trade or bench Ramsey. Rapp may not even be on this team next year. Maybe he was tired of Rapp missing the alignment. What ever it was they will handle it and move on. Also for those saying Ramsey is not good. You obviously don't really know football. Just a casual fan. Almost every former and current NFL player calls him one of the best in the league. You see one game and say he is a bad player. You know why he doesn't have 11/12/13 picks. It's because they hardly throw to who he is covering. That actually matters

I will say I expect this is a situation where Morris' excellent leadership will pay dividends.

Yea it was a terrible trade for the Rams. What a problem he's been the last two years. Time to cut this asshole loose right. Who does he think he is??

I'm most certainly not saying to bench him or cut him. That would be stupid as he is a top notch corner. However ....

How many interceptions does he have this season?
How many taunting penaltys does he have?

.... I searched. He has 3 INTs and 2 Taunting penalties this season.
16 other defensive players in the NFL have more interceptions than Ramsey. And I know I know, INTs are the only stat of a great player. But it's safe to say that for Mr Jalen Ramsey, only 3 interceptions so far this season, is a let down in that particular stat, for how much he runs his mouth.

Unfortunate situation, but I'm sure we're past it. Jalen has to react better.... Taylor has improved in his coverage, and honestly I think that play was too short to be one where Taylor needed to be right there for help. Taylor is a young player and we Jalen is one of the Best if not the best CB in the game.... we have to keep building in a positive direction, and as a team leader on a contending team, Jalen has to build his teammates capacity.

But we fought through everything for the win...

Less targets are thrown Ramsey's...because they are too damn scared to throw at him. The others get interceptions because they are not thought of yet at Ramsey's level. Someone like Diggs though, he's on his way to that level, but my opinion Ramsey is still by far the best cb out there...today!

In all seriousness.

There is no universe where Taylor Rapp should be on the feild.

We should be rotating in literally anyone else. Rasul Douglas came off the practice squad to get 5 picks in 6 games and transform a questionable packers defense.

Idk what lead to that and it really doesn't matter Ramsey as a defensive leader and one of this teams best players m should never react that way. Mcvay should send a clear message by suspending him 1 game which would cost him 1 game check. Shit like that shouldn't be tolerated no matter who the player is. But we all know that won't happen.

Yeah that would be great if Steve “four pillars and one win” Spagnoulo was our head coach.

McVay doesn’t give a shit about hurt feelings. And I doubt anyone on the Rams is actually sweating this

Saying something was flat-out wrong doesn't make it a "big deal."

I don't see anyone on here demanding Ramsey be benched or cut.. we're saying what he did was bullshit and that you don't ever do that to a teammate on the field like that. Period.

Whoops on my part, lol.

No, I wouldn't suspend Ramsey. But there would definitely be accountability measures within the team environment.
Ah yes.... Timing is everything. :laugh4:

I'm not reading this entire thread but the first couple pages showing a lot of excuses for Ramsey punching his own teammate because Ramsey is the better player.

That's bullshit.

What is missing in your analysis is target rate. For instance if player A has been targeted 100 times and has 10 interceptions and player B has been targeted 10 times and has 1 interception then the % of interceptions is the same. Looking just at the number of interceptions leaves out a big part of the picture

3 INTs is solid. He had 1 last year and was named an 1st team All-Pro. Hard to rack up the picks when the ball isn't thrown your way very much. I believe one season the All-Pro corners were Revis and Asomugha who combined for zero picks.

I don't mind him running his mouth, that's not how I played sports but it seems like plenty of guys enjoy the chirping and even get amped up from it. He backs it up way more often than not. It's the slapping of a teammate on the field during the game that I have a problem with. He needs to be better than that.

Yeah, let's not kill Ramsey here. Never a fan of teammate on teammate violence, but Rapp has been missing assignments since his rookie year..
Doesn't matter if he missed his assignment. It was unprofessional....... you work it out on the sidelines or in private.
I didn't see anyone berating Ramsey when he gave up a long pass play to TE Edwards... which was a blown coverage.

Hmmm, sounds like you are questioning the Rams GM and coaching staff.....
