Superbowl winning QB, whom we traded 2 first round picks, with the talent Stafford has, and coming in and winning a SUPER Bowl in year 1… he could have fleeced the rams and demanded he be the highest paid QB in the league by a margin. We did have to give him an extension, and it wasn't going to be for 20 million a year like we paid him last year. So its a fair deal, he could have got more, but he's being paid very well. Just glad that he will be our guy for the near future.

I thought your reading comprehension was better than that I apologize. I'll try again for you. The QB market is what the LAST QB signed for. There have been other QB's signed since those 2 in case you missed them.

Matt's probably saving the rams 3 to 7 ml a year which is still a nice chunk of change, and that savings is also likely to help the rams sign a specific FA or trade addition.
