Morris' schemes being far and away the softest in the NFL makes no sense, is hurting the Rams, and if improved upon, will likely see the defence ascend to a higher level. I don't want to hear about Morris not having the pieces. He has far better pieces than at least half the other defences in the NFL yet those DCs find a way. Having said that, the defence has not been awful on the whole, has vastly out-performed the offense, and it is latter that is predominantly to blame for the Rams' current woes. I am not sure how people cannot see these two things or what the debate is for 100+ pages.

No one is going to say the defense was "good" today.
Just some context.. two scores on short fields after turnovers... and they gave up fewer than 300 yards.

You start by immediately defending the defense. Good grief. The defense continuously allowed Colt McCoy to march the Cardinals down the field with little resistance. Even after the offense brought it closer, they give up a huge play. Morris scheme is dumb and McVay's inability to adjust his offense at all is stupid. Both have been true all season.
