Wow! The plot thickens.

TBH, I was kinda looking forward to seeing how Wolford would do in the McVay offense.

Really curious as to the private conversations McVay and Snead have been having about their QB...

I would love to be a fly on the wall in those meetings.

I get the pessimism on the heels of the last two games but we're not eliminated yet.

Agreed, but barring a miracle that Wolford is the 2nd coming of Drew Brees I doubt we put up enough points to beat the cards. I hope I'm wrong of course

I think Goff wanting to play is notable and very tough and all that. But it's not good for the team. It's one thing if the guy has been on a major roll but that's not been the case.

This is a situation where the organization needs to have the balls to step in and tell him to get the surgery he needs. If he needs surgery. If not then get the rest on the digit that it needs.

I respect the fuck out of players who play through pain. And I respect Goff for wanting to finish this season and the playoffs. But I think his season is over.

Totally Agree! I think due to Goff’s injury and his less than stellar performances recently I would go ahead and start Wolford with the hopes he provides the Rams the spark they desperately need at this time! As courageous as it is for Goff wanting to play I just don’t think starting Goff while adding a broken thumb to his recent erratic play is a very promising move for the Rams going into this Sunday’s game. If nothing else give Goff this Sunday off and hope that either the Rams do beat the Cardinals or the Packers beat the Bears (Which, I think they will!!) and then reevaluate Goff’s situation before their playoff game.

Very interesting.

So it would be wounded Goff with perhaps no running game vs Brett Hundley or Wolford Vs Hundley. I think we could pull it off with our defense.

I would rather save Goff if we pull off a playoff win and perhaps it might help. Tought call for Mcvay either way.
I know, it would have been a god send if the GB vs CHI game was the early game...

Maybe our D pitches a shutout and makes it easy for the O.

Even if Goff didn't throw the pick we still lose. We couldn't score touchdowns and no guarantee that we would've scored one on that drive. Cant beat Seattle kicking field goals.

Just my opinion but it sure seemed to me that interception was definitely a momentum changer in the game! Not saying the Rams would had won but I certainly like their chances of winning the game if that interception hadn’t happened!

It seems like it takes something like this for backups to get a legit shot.

These injuries are a great opportunity for McVay to show how much of a genius he supposed to be, IMO.

Wolford may know the offense, but I'd hope that there are some much needed tweaks added.

Sure Malcolm Brown will get most touches, but Wolford and both RBs Xaiver Jones & Raymond Calais have recent experience running that zone read which should open things up a bit. Jones has also run some wildcat, too. And Calais might be the fastest player on the roster.

How about incorporating some tackle eligible plays from time to time too? Years ago, the Packers replaced a TE with an OT and ran the ball down the Rams throat. Why not try the same for a few plays until the defense adjusts?

Oh year one more thing.

I would love for the Rams RBs to get more of a chance in the receiving game. Give them a chance to make a defender miss in space. It's hard for me to imagine that some of these kids aren't matchup problems to some defenders. That Calais kid has got to be a matchup problem for most LBs with his speed.

Yeah, it wasnt like the INT was in the Redzone, Seattle took over at their own 35. The play sucked and cost at least 3 points, but surely wasnt the difference. Seattle opening drive of the 2nd half for a TD was a killer, like the week before

didnt seem like goff was neccesarily the difference in the game

however... we were up 6-3 and driving.. almost to the red zone. If we dont turnover the ball ther and get a TD... then thats 13-3 and teh game is a lot different.

the int was on 1st or 2nd down also it was not on 3rd down.

Honestly, I'm intrigued by PS QB Bryce Perkins. Definitely a dual threat QB. I cannot remember the last QB we had that could tuck the ball and run effectively.

Whether he plays well or plays poorly, no need for anyone to overreact. He's Goff's backup for a reason - so the bar for me is worse than Goff played the past few weeks. Anything more than that I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Packers will definitely lose the way the last two weeks have gone for the Rams, but if they can win, sure will take some pressure off.

We had 4 plays from the 1 and couldn't punch it in, either. See how losing was a team effort?

After watching Donald break tackles to get after Wilson I sure wish they would have tried him at running back in that situation.
