So what will it be in 2024 and 2025?
Not sure. Guess they'll cut him next off-season and eat dead money. But this saved more.

I'm guessing that practically locks him in here for the next couple of years. He already has two void years at the end to help spread it out. I hope he fully recovers from his achilles and actually plays for a whole year finally. He's been nothing but a liability at this point and didn't look all that great last season. His re-emergence would go a long way in helping oline stabilize.

I have low hopes that he stays healthy. He hasn't played more than a few games any year.

I think 2019 he played the most games and he was done after 5 or 6 games IIRC

You might NOT want to look at Spotrac's projected numbers on Noteboom for 2024-2026.

If accurate, it's ugly.
Well aren't you a bunch of good news

Do we save any CAP numbers in 2025 from the non-guaranteed portion?

Over-the-Cap has the same #s ... it's bad.

You can't be thinking about savings in the future. The Savings are Now (2023).

The Cost is in the Future.

It's the opposite of Leonard Floyd, where the Cost is Now (2023), and the Savings are in the Future.

You asked about 2025. According to the two sites, Noteboom has a $10M VOID-$ cap hit in 2025.

Whitworth is on the Rams' cap in 2023, with $2M of Void-$.

Well I was hoping that if we cut him in 2025, we would get CAP savings from the non-guaranteed portion.

He started 11 games in 2020, 9 at LT and 2 at G. It's what earned him his current contract.

If we had cut, or traded, Noteboom and kept Floyd where would that have left us? I only ask out of curiosity because this restructure doesn’t exactly make a lot of sense in terms of the 2024 window

His contract was based on potential and the Rams counting on him to be Whitworth's successor. I wouldn't call it exactly earning it but the Rams projecting. Unfortunately, he very injury prone.

Noteboom is NOT under contract for 2025.

He signed a three-year-deal last off-season. That's 2022 through 2024.

The Void-$ is like Dead-$. It's a way to push-out the cap-hit.

Same with Whitworth. He retired after 2021 but was on the Rams' cap last season and will be this season.

Again on, Noteboom. He can't be cut in 2025 because he's not signed for 2025. However, he will be in the Rams' cap in2025 for $10M. And another $5M in 2026.

That's the cost for creating cap space for this season.

I'm not trying to hurt you man. It's the math

I am getting old. I thought Whitworth played the majority of the year in 2020.

I guess 2020 is a lost season to me.

Talk about a shitty deal. Hopefully he stays upright this year.

Seems the Rams are betting he recovers and remains healthy. 20 mil cap hit in 2024 for LT might actually be a deal.
