This often happens because the case will be impossible to prove.

But that doesn't mean it did (or didn't) happen, just that they don't feel like they can make enough of a case to convict.

It's a terrible thing because it's likely he did this, but a 3 year old can't really testify.

The courts are in place to stand up for children who can not stand up for themselves. At the very least a caseworker from Family and Children Services needs to be appointed to monitor this case. If a pattern of this type of behavior continues the child needs to be removed from the home, at the very least. We as a society have an obligation to protect our children.

It isn’t a matter of public record, but I’d bet dollars to doughnuts the kid has been removed from the home and the parents will need to prove that the home is a safe place for him before he is returned.

Constitutional rights apply in criminal cases - like the right to remain silent. In civil cases (like child services matters) remaining silent constitutes an admission.

Same applies to the league. If he refuses to cooperate and answer their questions about what happened then they can suspend him on that basis alone.

And if he lies and they find out, the punishment is worse - although in this case it likely doesn't matter. If he broke his kid's arm in anger, his career's over anyway.

If you've been following you'd know the child was removed from the house ASAP.

Which isn't unusual in cases like this where there have been more than one contact with the authorities and something looks suspicious.

But there has to be proof, or witnesses, or something that can connect him to this and right now it doesn't seem like there is or he would have been arrested and charges would have been brought.

OVERLAND PARK, KS (KCTV) -- Officers were called out to the Overland Park home of Tyreek Hill Thursday night, just hours after KCTV5 ran an exclusive audio recording of a conversation between the troubled Chiefs receiver and his fiancee.

Police were called to the home on a welfare check around 8:30 p.m. to check on Hill's fiancee Crystal Espinal. She was O.K., and Hill was not at the home when officers arrived, according to the Overland Park Police Department.

Police said a report was not made. The call to police was anonymous, they said.

The Kansas City Chiefs announced shortly after KCTV5's story ran that they are holding Hill out from all team activities, with general manager Brett Veach calling the audio recording "disturbing".

Lawyer: Handcuffing of Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott in Las Vegas an overreaction

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott was handcuffed and detained but not arrested or charged with any crime early Saturday morning in Las Vegas following an incident at a music festival in which he appeared to shove a security guard to the ground.

TMZ published video that shows Elliott having a disagreement with a woman and following her around a parking lot. The disagreement never becomes physical based on the video clip, but Elliott does appear to impede the progress of the woman as she walks away.

Later in the video, Elliott confronts an event security guard, asking “You got something to say?” He then uses his right forearm to push the guard into a metal railing, prompting the guard to fall over.

"I didn’t do nothing,” Elliott is heard saying as he walks away with his hands in the air.

The video ends by showing Las Vegas police handcuffing Elliott and escorting him away from the scene. Elliott does not resist his detention.

"This morning we began to receive requests for information about an incident that occurred at the Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) this weekend involving Ezekiel Elliott," Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officer Laura Meltzer said in a statement shared with USA TODAY Sports.

"On Sunday, May 19, 2019 at approximately 3 a.m. LVMPD officers working at EDC observed from a distance an adult male, later identified as Elliott, push a security officer to the ground. Two officers approached and placed Elliott into handcuffs while they investigated the incident. The security guard who was the victim of the misdemeanor battery, refused to press charges and officers escorted Elliott a short distance away and he was released."

According to TMZ, Elliott’s attorney, Frank Salzano, downplayed the incident.

“Security misconstrued and overreacted to the situation,” Salzano told TMZ. “He was cuffed as a precautionary measure. He was released with no charges. He left Vegas that night and went to his (youth football camp in Dallas) on Sunday.”

A message to Salzano was not returned.

Elliott has previously faced discipline from the NFL, which suspended him six games in 2017 following a lengthy investigation surrounding an alleged domestic violence case against his then ex-girlfriend stemming from a July 2016 incident in Columbus, Ohio.

Elliott was never arrested or charged in that incident, but the league levied its suspension for a violation of the personal conduct policy, saying its investigators “were of the view that there is substantial and persuasive evidence supporting a finding that (Elliott) engaged in physical violence” against his ex-girlfriend.

Elliott, one of the Cowboys’ star players and a Pro Bowler in 2018, ran for an NFL-high 1,434 yards last season, adding 77 catches for 567 yards.

It's just a matter of time, before his poor behaviour catches up to him.

Free-agent DT Wilkerson arrested on DWI charge

Former New York Jets and Green Bay Packersdefensive tackle Muhammad Wilkerson was arrested early Saturday for driving while intoxicated in Manhattan, police said.

A police spokesman told The Associated Press that the 29-year-old was arraigned Saturday in Manhattan Criminal Court and then released. In addition to DWI, he's accused of ignoring a stop sign and driving while ability-impaired.

Police said he was pulled over in the Washington Heights neighborhood before dawn with a blood-alcohol level of .09. The legal limit is .08.

According to WABC-TV, police said Wilkerson bypassed a stop sign at 3:30 a.m. ET. The station reported that when police pulled him over, they noticed Wilkerson's eyes were bloodshot and that they smelled alcohol.

The New York Daily News reported that court documents showed Wilkerson told the cops, "I had a shot and two beers."

Wilkerson is a free agent after finishing last season on the Packers' injured reserve following a broken ankle he suffered in Week 3.

A New Jersey native, Wilkerson had been living in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and rehabbing his injury at the Packers' facility until March. When he became a free agent, he was no longer permitted to work out at the team facility, per NFL rules.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

The train wreck that is Alden Smith continues with a DUI. At this point you hope he gets help before he hurts himself or somebody else.

An online video shows Browns running back Kareem Hunt being questioned by police after an apparent incident Saturday night at a Cleveland bar.

The video, published Monday by TMZ Sports, shows Hunt speaking with multiple officers. Hunt was not arrested and officers did not make a police report about the incident, a police spokesperson told Cleveland.com.

A Browns spokesman said the team is aware of the incident and has spoken to Hunt but had nothing further to say at this point.

The incident took place outside the Barley House in downtown Cleveland. The owner of the bar, Bobby George, told Cleveland.com that Hunt got into a minor altercation with a friend.

I don’t see how the NFL gives Ty Hill any kind of a break. I get that he is fast and the Chiefs are exciting and all that - but the commish needs to pick a direction and stay the course.

There's also been some rumors of no suspension at all.

What a joke. Beats his pregnant girlfriend and breaks his three year old son's arm. That should land him in prison, not on an NFL roster.

Kids break their arms everyday. Why is it that his kid had to have been done by him? Because his nut job fiance accused him of it in a conversation she recorded? Remember the investigation steered towards her once they started digging a bit deeper.

The threat toward his wife is enough proof to me. And you didn't mention that he punched her while she was pregnant. The guy's scum, and he should be in prison, not the NFL.
