Saints’ P.J. Williams arrested for drunk driving again
Posted by Michael David Smith on January 23, 2019

Saints cornerback P.J. Williams was arrested early this morning in New Orleans on a driving while intoxicated charge, another in a growing list of driving offenses for Williams.

Williams booked for drunk driving and careless driving at about 1:10 a.m. and bonded out of custody three hours later, the New Orleans Advocate reports.

In 2014 Williams, then a starting cornerback at Florida State, drove his car into the path of an oncoming vehicle, totaling both cars, and fled the scene. He was driving with a suspended license at the time but was given only two traffic tickets by the Tallahassee Police, rather than a more serious criminal charge, leading to accusations that the local police were favoring football stars.

In 2015 Williams, then a draft prospect, was arrested for driving under the influence in Tallahassee. Local authorities later dropped that charge, even though Williams admitted he “had a few drinks.”

The 25-year-old Williams was the Saints’ third-round draft pick in 2015 and has just completed his rookie contract, meaning he is set to become a free agent in March.

Williams started seven games in the regular season and both playoff games.

Williams: " Judge, we was robbed in the NFCCG! That NO CALL PI MADE me drink all that alcohol while driving!
Nawlin's Judge: "Well, of course. Case dismissed."

This isn't a big shock considering they helped Jamies Winston get away with rape a few years back.

That guy is a piece of shit and I wish him the worst in life. I'm actually hoping he ends up being one of the athletes that goes broke and they find him sleeping under a freeway overpass.

He'll be getting some prison time for that. And will be getting sued for a lot of cheddar.

What an idiot. He's lucky some of the other cops didn't break out the billy clubs and break him up. I'm not saying they should, they shouldn't. But lets face it it wouldn't surprise you right...........

Chiefs wideout De’Anthony Thomas arrested on marijuana charges
Posted by Darin Gantt on January 27, 2019

Chiefs wide receiver De'Anthony Thomas chose a unique way to head into free agency.

According to Brooke Pryor of the Kansas City Star, the 26-year-old Thomas was arrested Saturday on suspicion of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The arrest happened in Allen County, Kan., which is roughly 100 miles from Arrowhead Stadium.

The Chiefs said they were aware of the incident but had no further comment.

Thomas was placed on injured reserve in October, after breaking his leg in practice. The Chiefs used him in a variety of roles on offense and returns, and he had three catches for 29 yards and a touchdown in five games. He’ll be an unrestricted free agent in March.

Getting arrested with weed only is so stupid and unnecessary and I don’t even smoke it.

Trevor Bates remains in hospital undergoing mental health evaluation
Posted by Josh Alper on January 28, 2019

The agent for Lions linebacker Trevor Bates released a statement on Monday updating his client’s status more than 48 hours after he was arrested for refusing to pay a $32 cab fare.

New York police said Bates then punched a sergeant after being taken to a police station. The Sergeants Benevolent Association released a statement calling Bates “dog crap” in response to the incident.

Bates was taken to a hospital for a mental health evaluation after the arrest and agent Jeff Jankovich said on Monday, via Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, that Bates remains hospitalized.

“Following his incident in New York on Saturday, our client Trevor Bates was taken to an area hospital where he remains as he undergoes testing and a mental health evaluation. I have spoken with members of Trevor’s family and others close to him, all of whom have expressed deep concern that his behavior this weekend is not at all consistent with the man and friend we know him to be. …

We take this situation very seriously and express concern for Sergeant O’Brien and the members of the New York City Police Department. At this time our priority is to ensure that Trevor receives the help he needs and that the privacy of the parties involved be respected until more information becomes available.”

The Lions said on Saturday that they were aware of the arrest and have not made any further public comment.
