True lol. If I do stop rooting for this team, I'm not going to root against them or hope for misery. I like y'all and don't want you to suffer. But man, this trade is a kick in the nuts. I thought the worst thing this offseason could bring was the Gators keep their moron of a DC. But nope, it got much, much worse.
I'm looking forward to your next Mock with Stafford, bud

Detroit took on the entire contract not a portion including the guarantees that will provide extra flexibility hence the extra 1st and with that they had better offers and also Stafford went to management and said he wanted to at in LA with Mcvay and the lions wanted to do right by him.

If the Rams had traded Goff to make a Watson trade happen, I'd be here celebrating right now. I'd have wished Goff well and celebrated. But this is such a disappointingly bad deal.
Nah I'm with you man. I like stafford over Goff but I don't like the deal right now. Disappointment is fair. But people cursing the Rams and talking about wanting Mcvay, a coach with one of the highest win percentages in league history through 4 years, to be fired is ridiculous.

I don't see that happening, my friend. I was in the middle of drafting one up when this trade happened, and I deleted it. Don't know if I'm going to get past this decision. Guess we'll see.

So they're paying Stafford 19.5 mill and Goff hits the cap for 22.5?
Good thing this trade give us Cap room.
Oh, wait a minute...

Only way it happens is if the Rams restructure Stafford's deal. And the only way that happens is if the Rams give Stafford guaranteed money to restructure his deal.

Goff didn’t give up 30 points.

No he didn't.

That is exactly why we needed someone to do better when the moment is there.

Goff laid an egg when he had the chance.

Other QB's in the league we would have thought we had that moment. I believe Stafford is that guy.

The disgust in McVay's face with Goff in our game at Seattle was so obvious. When Goff slid down a half a yard short of the first down marker he looked like he was ready to blow a gasket. The way Goff carried himself like a zombie on the field drove McVay bonkers he wanted a change so bad and now he got it so it's up to him now to deliver.

Yep, McVay owns it all now. If it's a disaster we will find out how much patience Kroenke truly has.

And I thought it would at least be mid season before they gave out one of their ridiculous extensions. This one may be coming by the end of next week

Just logged on and saw this. Been out all day and haven't heard any news ... about anything ... until now.

I fucking love it. I'm a huge Matty fan. Dude is nails.

Now I gotta make this trade on Madden.
And it sure as SHIT won't cost me THAT. :ROFLMAO:

Is stafford playing for free? Doesn't his salary count?

.
Yeah, maybe I spoke too soon about the cap savings.

For Rams, Sounds like Stafford will be 20M against cap in 2021, and Goff will be a 22M dead-$ hit in 2021?

Definitely sounds like Rams got some cap relief by unloading Goff’s huge contract, but I haven’t seen a good analysis yet of how much and when.

Haven’t seen flv in a while.. hope he’s lurking! Flv is the best cap guy around here

Things will settle down.
It's the initial shock of it.
