True lol. If I do stop rooting for this team, I'm not going to root against them or hope for misery. I like y'all and don't want you to suffer. But man, this trade is a kick in the nuts. I thought the worst thing this offseason could bring was the Gators keep their moron of a DC. But nope, it got much, much worse.
LOL not a Todd Grantham fan

I wish you luck, my friend. I won't be rooting against this franchise, but I am just not sure I can get on board with this. It's entertainment. And I've suffered through a lot of bad football with this team. Watching them do the exact thing (well, an even worse version of that thing, actually) that I wanted them not to do has me reconsidering whether it's worth continuing.
Oh Jerry you silly goose. We know you won't quit the Rams because of the chance they win the Super Bowl this season which would be a pain that is so bad that it's beyond comprehension.

So simmer down and do like the rest of us and queue up some Detroit tape in their disgusting baby blue tights and check out your new QB. :beer2::cool:

Matthew Stafford is a massive upgrade over Goff. One of the dumbest things I’ve seen last week was Ram fans actually thinking Goff and Stafford were the same. No they are not. Stafford is accurate with a cannon. Goff is lanky and awkward and actually not very accurate.

Stafford also has played on a comically abysmal organization for years. Now he gets a shot on a real team with a real coach.

you can cry about draft picks. But stafford was always going to fetch a first and another pick. Goff deal prob cost us another first.

So be it. We finally have a QB.

yeah Stafford is a much better QB than Goff. You can argue the Rams gave up too much, but the idea that they are even close in talent is crazy. Goff has been playing in one of the most QB friendly systems in the league, while Stafford was doing the complete opposite.

If you’re gonna jump ship wait till after the draft please.
I enjoy your draft break downs too much.

I only know what I see and what you clucks fill my head with.

I sure don't want another 10 years of the last two of QB play.

I don't care what it costs.

I really don't get quitting a team because of this. If that was the case I would have gone in 1973 when we traded John Hadl.

Fricken Martz part 2. Let's bring Trung Canidate out of retirement to.

So to answer the question, yea Mcvay is an asshole.

But what this demonstrates is that the Rams think Goff is not going to get back to the "Good Goff" we all love.

Yet Brad Holmes, Lions GM and a guy who was in our building for all last year was willing to take not only Goff but a chunk of his contract. He apparently doesn't feel the same way, or he knows that there is more to the story.

Either way, McVay and Snead just put their own jobs on the line, because if this trade fails, they're probably gone. And should be.

After the initial shock has worn off I understand this trade and think Stafford is a for sure an upgrade. Just hate losing two more 1st round picks for a guy we might have for only 2 years, and to get rid of the contract we gave to Goff. What we really need now is a true deep threat more than ever. Stafford has a cannon. I am going to hope for the best on this. Still rather of gotten Watson some how but oh well. Whats done is done.

GO RAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!

See I love the Rams..die hard fan. But more than that I'm an objective football fan. Stafford was a better prospect coming out of college, and has a WAAAY better pro career than Goff. Goff has had 2 good years out of 5. Two!! Stafford has some of the best arm talent in the entire NFL. Top 3-5 I'd say.

Theres no doubt in my mind hes better than Goff as hard as that is for people to hear. Its what happens when you get overly emotionally attached to a player. 32 of 32 GMs would take Stafford over Goff. We just upgraded at QB thats all I care about.

What Mach S said This! This right here is all that matters. This team is an immediate Super Bowl contender and that's pretty damn exciting.

Goff’s ability to throw deep was never there to me.
I know there are some stats that show differently and he could make occasional great throws down field. But most of his deep attempts seemed like throw aways.

We needed to add a 1st rder in order to dump Goff & his contract. Honestly think you all are being crazy. Demoff is a cap master. NFL is a soft cap
This didnt give the Rams cap relief this year. And I dont understand why there is such a big deal about Detroit picking up the guarantees, that's what happens when you trade for a player. You inherit the contract, just not the signing bonus/restructure money.
On a side note, who is paying Stafford's 10 mill roster bonus this year?

Sorry, man, I've had so many years of rationalizing decisions this team has made. This is one I told myself I wouldn't rationalize if they made it. I hope they do win the Super Bowl. They went all in on that.

Dear Matt,
Eat your Wheaties, get as healthy as you can and sign that extension ASAP.
Oh and make sure you dont miss a game due to injury because if you do, and your back up gives Coach Mc a woody, you'll be in the dog house and sent packing shortly thereafter!
Cheers

Sincerely,
Todd and Jared
Y'all picking Goff over the Rams is so puzzling.

The Los Angles Rams are paying it.

If the Rams had traded Goff to make a Watson trade happen, I'd be here celebrating right now. I'd have wished Goff well and celebrated. But this is such a disappointingly bad deal.
