Report: Chiefs send Kareem Hunt home after video emerges

Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt was sent home from practice shortly after a video showing him pushing and kicking a woman was published.

Hunt was at the facility but was told to leave when the Chiefs became aware of the video, Dan Graziano of ESPN reports.

The NFL could put Hunt on the Commissioner Exempt list, as is often done when a player is accused of domestic violence. That would mean Hunt would not participate in practices or play in games but would still get paid.

The incident with Hunt and the woman was investigated by the police and reported in the media in February, and no charges were brought. The presence of video, however, may result in the NFL and the Chiefs acting now, when they didn’t act nine months ago.

Criminal assault involves injury. That didn’

WRONG! There's assult and there's battery. Assult is to "threaten" with bodily harm. Battery is physical contact that results in harm.

If I clench my fist and say I'm going to punch you, that's assault even if I don't throw the punch.

Just watched a vid by an attorney that actually went through the criminal code for assault and no.

That would mean a threat constituted assault and it doesn’t.

Doesn’t matter because the issue isn’t the criminality, it’s the behavior code of a private corporation.

The NFL doesn’t condone this behavior. Hunt has no right to work for a private corporation beyond those codified in law with respect to EEOC regulations.

I watched the Video. Hunt kept going after her. And the final kick looks like it was to the ribs as she as on the floor. It' not good for him, the Chiefs or the NFL. They will have a hard time explaining why they did not ask about video, or if they did, why no punishment.

That kick looked like a kick to the thigh to knock her over.

According to witnesses "Hunts friends" she called him a n*****. The same people who didnt say anything about Hunt kicking her. The fact you are defending clear evidence not he said she said crap and still think it's ok shows you have no respect for women. I dont care what was said the guy probably outweighs her by 140 pounds he is lucky his friends held him back and he actually didnt get a hold of her. Hope he can get help and learn from this.
