HAd some shower thoughts and realized something
Only coaches with winning records over Mcvay ATM:
Belichick
Harbaugh
Tomlin
Pederson
Thats it.
That tells me a couple of things:
1. Obviously that is a impressive list of coaches. All SB winners. When the Rams lose we are more than likely losing to SB caliber talent at the helm.
2. Sean and the staff are LEARNING FROM LOSSES. Teams that we dont see often, (and even then they must be talented teams) are the ones who can sneak up on us and get a win. The usual suspects of opponents we see in the NFC (49ers, Seahawks, Cowboys, Minnesota, Bears, Saints, Falcons, Cards) we have winning records on or a split and most importantly, we are winning the rematches (Bears, Saints, Vikings, Falcons, Seahawks)
3. Sean is young. 3 years in and still the youngest in the League. To only have those coaches as the ones you havent beaten yet is insane because Sean is only IMPROVING as time goes on.
My expectations of this team have changed. Making the playoffs would be great but ultimately im liking the growth im seeing the past two games. Ending the season trending UP by beating talented teams (which to be honest is something McVay hasnt done yet) is the goal right now, playoffs be damned.
