I F’d UP BigTime!! Was suppose to have been at training camp today & Wednesday .
Instead I had Tuesday as the day I have been planning for. Crazy, was at SOFI Stadium last night though. $80 to park, but can have drinks. Always get lost at night coming out of events.
I apologize I have not been to training camp. Feel really bad.

Jourdan tweeted about a Rochell int today, raving, and says he’s been showing out.
I can’t say enough how much of a big deal he is to me this year. I think he opens up a shit ton in the defensive playbook… more man on man looks and more chances for Ramsey to play STAR.

With Ramsey, Rochell, Durant, and Kendrick, our cornerback group looks bright - and that's not even counting Long, who seriously impressed in the postseason and Hill, whose versatility is amazing. And then you have safety: Fuller, Scott, Burgess, Lake, Yeast, and Rapp. And that's not even mentioning some of the younger rookies who could easily impress us enough: my favorites for cornerback and safety respectively are Caesar Dancy-Williams and Daniel Isom.

The biggest problem with rotating the 3rd guy, imo, is how much your groupings are a “tell” on what you’re running.
Gotta think it’s more likely a pass play if Tutu is in over Skow, for example.
That makes Harris very interesting to me. He’s got the speed to help open shit up for Kupp & ARob.. but is big enough to be a factor blocking.
I’m intrigued by Harris but if he cannot surpass Skow I’ll lose interest.

So Rochelle, Durant and Kendrick showing out. One or more hits and we are stacked at CB.

Good practice toady folks. Met up with VRF and fellow ROD member RamBall. they mostly concentrated on running plays. Must have run at least 50-60 snaps so I'm not going to into play by play, just some high lights and some player observations.

Didn't see Ramsey on the sidelines or Bobby Evans. I could have missed them but scanned with my binoc's several times. 95 bobby Brown out there for the first time. He took snaps with 2nd team DL.

Started with punt machine and Powell, Akers, Atwell and Yeast fielding punts. all of them looked pretty good.

Stafford threw a few short warmup passes at the biggining of practice and that was it. Wolford ran the 1st team and Perkins team2.

For the OL, 1st team of Noteboom LT, Edwards LG, Allen most snaps at C, Shelton, Snynder, Kolone and Brewer all took snaps at C also, Shelton and Bruss at RG. since they ran so many plays today they did a lot of sub-ing. for the 2nd team OL A Jackson took most snaps at LT, Anchrum LG, Shelton, Kolone and Brewer at C, Bruss, Shelton, Acuri, Ealy all got snaps at rg. since Bobby Evans was a no show, they tried almost everyone else at RT. Acuri got most snaps at RT and looked OK, Pircher both looked to hold their own.

some player notes

RB's- Akers and Henderson looked good. Funk doesn't have the knee brace he did last TC and looked very fast. Calais has good hands and will be pushing Powell for roster spot as K/PR.

QB- Wolford ran the 1st team all day. lots of good passes and moves pretty good when pressured. Still a big drop off from Stafford. Perkins is a dink and dunk guy. He threw 3 or 4 plus 20 yd passes and all were short. He runs after his first read is covered.

Ol- Noteboom is ready to go. Very smooth with his feet. Floyd and Hollins didn't get by him today. If Boom goes down A Jackson looks to be a good backup, he;s done well vs 1st team DL. Anchrum is solid. Edwards still worries me. Havenstien is a stud. No worries there.
there are some guys backing up who probably would be starting on other teams. I was kind of worried about the OL going into camp, but after 4 days and today's 50-60 snaps against Rams D they've held thier own.

WR- Kupp and Robinson both making great catches, oowing and awwing the crowd. Harris coming along still needs work. Atwell had a really good day today. He catches everything. He looks to have put on muscle weight. He got more targets than the rest of the backups. Powell is coming on, got several targets.

Defense standouts. The Wagz show today. Wagner was a beast today. always around the ball, in the backfield causing havoc, covering TE's and RB's, and got himself a pick six to boot. And they say he's lost a step?

Terrell Lewis impressed me today. No knee brace like last year. He looks very comfortable and fast off the snap. He took a lot of snaps today, no subbing. Doesn't look like they have a snap # for him.

Dan Hardy is a firecracker, high end motor. Needs some coaching to learn some moves.

DB's- Hill, Long and Rochelle looked good today. Rochelle with an INT. Durrant, and Kendrick both look like the real deal.

safeties- Scott, Burgess looked OK. Rapp was making plays, good day for him.

Was a very good practice. They worked hard today. Lots of contact and they worked of a lot of different plays. Off tomorrow and back at it Wednesday. I'll be there.

Bubba, you are the man!:cheers2::fistbump1::giggle:

I've been saying that Noteboom is for real! 4 seasons attached to Andrew Whitworth has paid off. LG Edwards has never looked that good in practice or preseason. Thus far LG Tremayne Anchrum is right there behind Edwards & not involved in the brouhaha at RG? Interesting...I think Carberry is set and pleased on the left side with Noteboom/ Edwards/ Jackson/ Anchrum.

I would guess Carberry will concentrate on #1 starting RG and #2 reserve RG and #3 reserve RT. Wonder what happen to Evans?

If Noteboom is going up against both OLB Hollins & Floyd means they are getting Hollins some HD reps on the right side opposite from where he started last season. I thought that Floyd was forced to play too many snaps last season due to injuries. No defender needs are many reps as Terrell Lewis.

She also mentioned that having a guy like Wagner in the middle of the D gives them more flexibility to keep Ramsey outside as there were times where they pushed him inside so that he could not just cover the slot threat but make him unavoidable in a part of the field where they were the weakest and the LBs had a hard time covering side to side.

Bruss is just a physical prototype for the position and what they want. He's incredibly similar to Austin Corbett in so many ways.
Corbett got lost in a shitty organization, so it took him a while to really find his place in the NFL. Bruss couldn't have a better situation possible for a rookie Olineman, period. One college teammate.. another alum.. taking him in to transition to his new team/home and a god like Whitworth giving him one-on-one attention in camp.

Bruss will win the job.
I'm not denying that Bruss is in a great spot. I was merely pointing out that Shelton's arms aren't that much shorter when you start thinking about actual functional use.

As for Bruss being a physical prototype, he's only 10 pounds heavier than Shelton but he's almost two inches taller. Those inches means most if not all those 10 pounds are things other than muscle. Unless his body fat percentage is much lower than Shelton's, there's a negligible difference in muscle mass. So he has an advantage in inertia, but a small one. Really, what's 10 pounds to an above average DT? When he wins the RG job, as I'm sure he will, it's going to be on technique and skill and being in tune with his linemates.

Bingo! And this also allows us to keep two ILBs on the field most downs and not have a light box.

Well.. if you comp coming out of college.. Bruss’ base is almost 20 more.
He’s a bigger dude.. and, obviously, the Rams want him to win the spot… they’re not just gonna give it to him.
Shelton’a a nice interior backup.

Thanks @bubbaramfan really appreciate you keeping us informed. Sounds like Hardy may have a future. The Draft/scouting reports I read said exactly what you said, he needs to refine and add some variety to his natural get-off.
I am kinda bummed that Garrett hasn't been mentioned much anywhere
