WR Makai Lemon looks like a smaller, but faster Puka Nacua to me. I’d prefer a bigger option, but this kid has that dawg in him.

CB Chris Johnson is probably the highest NCAA Group of Five player in the draft and was PFF top rated CB in this year’s draft class.

EDGE Derrick Moore is a former teammate of Josaiah Stewart who had 11 sacks last season and provides Byron Young insurance.

CB Julian Neal gives the team a big physical CB for the bigger targets may face while also upgrading the tackling on the back end.

OT Aamil Wagner give the team a much needed swing OT capable of eventually becoming a full-time starter as he further develops.

@methomas50 told me about NT Nick Barrett. Rams need some backup beef when Ford is out and while the kid only started 13 of 51 games in 5 years he made his last season his best.

Don’t really know much about OG Logan Parr except that he had one of if not the highest pass blocking grade with PFF. Oline coach should help his run blocking.

WR Wetjen is the back-to-back B1G return specialist of the year. And it doesn’t hurt that he’s said to be uncoverable at East West Shrine Game practices.

Finally, you'll note no LB prospect listed. Sure they could sign one or bring in an UDFA. But, I really believe that Dolac is the answer.

The last three Rams playoff losses has seen the offense inside the redzone, trying to punch the ball into the endzone to take the lead in the game.

Each time they failed miserably. Didn't even look like getting into the endzone.

The only player mistake we can point to was Limmer letting Carter run free to sack Stafford against the Eagles last season. Other than that the offense had no clue how to get the ball into the endzone.

Yesterday there's no guarantee that the Rams would have even won the game because the defense would have had to defend the lead (shudders).

My problem is when the Rams need it the most in these big games, the offense has been clueless. Great teams, and offenses, find a way to get it done.

Three years in a row man. It's disheartening.

Speights was not impactful at all in this one, missing one tackle and taking poor angles to ball carriers throughout the night. Young was playing at less than 100%, and it showed. He had zero pressures and one missed tackle, losing contain on Kenneth Walker's touchdown run to start the game. McClendon allowed a team-high four pressures in the loss, the only player to allow more than Avila's three.

The Seahawks weren’t going to let Puka or Devante beat them in the end zone, they doubled them both. Someone else was going to have to try and win it. Colby had a potential td bounce off his hands, Ferg and Mumpfield couldn’t make contested catches. If we had a reliable #3 this offense could be even better. The rams were bad on 3rd down and Stafford had to try to force it into tight windows.
Mumpfield has gotten some of those reps but hasn’t impressed, Whittington? Ferg? Someone else? Be nice if they could return kicks too.

Welp, we lost. It sucks, and I'm not watching the Super Bowl...but it gets me started with the offseason. Also assuming Scheelhaase gets a HC job with the Browns, so an extra two picks. Also going off of Draftek to see where prospects are going. Here we go:

(I understand the shock with Jacas being the first pick, but I think he could be arguably the best edge in this class, and he's a productive and freakish athlete at 6'4", 275. Ponds is one of my favorite prospects in this class, a real scrappy playmaker. Sarratt could be our new Cooper Kupp; that's seriously whom he gives me vibes of, and he can score inside the redzone as well. Trotter could be an elite inside linebacker, and he's super young for the class (won't turn twenty-one until April). Corleone is one of my favorite nose tackles. Masses is long, lengthy, and super productive. Rivers is your main punt returner. Stukes is another long, lengthy corner with production. Prysock is a big, physical corner who might be a better fit as a safety/backup STAR to Lake. Raridon came on late, but he's got oodles of potential as a receiver and a blocker. Payton is really athletic and with a big arm; he's your third string QB. Carmona, Burton, and Jatta all upgrade depth at offensive line, and all are guys I like.)

2026 Financials: Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams finished 2025 with a 12-5 record, good enough for 2nd place in the NFC West, and a 5 seed in the postseason.

LAR enters 2026 with around $59M of cap space, with 42 contracts currently on the books (though 2 are set to void in mid-Feb). The table is headlined by Matthew Stafford ($48.2M), Davante Adams ($28M), and Alaric Jackson ($25.3M).

The Rams currently boast 11 draft picks, including two 1st-round picks (Atlanta), two 5th-round picks (Tennessee), and two 6th-round picks (Houston). Future Rams Draft Picks

• Will Matthew Stafford return in 2026, and if so - will he be comfortable on a $40M salary?
• The Rams have plenty of mouths to feed this offseason, and no post-Stafford plan (at least from the outside looking in). Will there be reservation in adding too much multi-year guarantee to the roster with change coming at the QB1 position sooner rather than later?

Claimed off waivers from Washington last December, Forbes had his most impactful season to date in 2025, spending the year as LA’s primary RCB. Has he shown enough to warrant an $11M guarantee with a 5th-year option exercise this spring? That seems unlikely at present time.

One of the bigger no-brainers in the league this coming offseason, Nacua is entering a contract year in 2026, set to earn an estimated $5.8M (once a proven performance escalator is finalized). He’s extension-eligible for the first time this winter, currently projecting toward a 4 year, $154M deal in our system. There’s a realistic world where that number looks more like $180M ($45M APY) when it’s all said and done.

The former 3rd-round pick out of Tennessee had an official breakout year in 2025 (12 sacks, 82 tackles), but has been a standout player for each of his first 3 NFL campaigns. He projects toward a 4 year, $145M ($36M APY) extension in our system.

A 3rd-round pick out of Wake Forest, Turner has 24 sacks across 3 seasons, and has developed into one of the better overall interior linemen in the game. The 26-year-old projects toward a 4 year, $100M contract in our system.

A 2nd-rounder out of TCU, Avila is the clearcut option at left guard for this Ram’s offense, but has dealt with limited seasons in back to back years due to injury. He enters a contract year in 2026, set to earn an estimated $3.7M (once a proven performance escalator kicks in). The 26-year-old projects toward a 4 year, $70M extension in our system.

Saw his snap count drop from 70% in 2024, to 40% in 2025, but is also under contract at a team-friendly $7.5M in 2026. There’s a $500,000 roster bonus due March 15th, so any kind of movement would likely happen prior to.

He certainly doesn’t look like a player ready to hang up the cleats, but Stafford is certainly within his rights to consider his options this coming spring. The nearly 38-year-old is under contract at $40M in 2026, all of which is set to fully guarantee on March 15th. The Rams would be staring at a $41.9M dead cap charge if Stafford moves on here. Processing this in a Post 6/1 manner means $27.5M in 2026, $14.4M in 2027.

A 5th-rounder out of Ohio State, Hamilton hasn’t yet found his sea legs in this Rams’ defense, and is in danger of falling by the wayside before a second offseason.

QB Matthew Stafford’s 2026 salary becomes fully guaranteed on March 15th. Converting it to bonus can free up $11.7M of cap space.

WR Davante Adams’s 2026 roster bonus is already fully guaranteed. Processing a simple salary conversion (including this roster bonus and adding void years), can open up over $18M of space.

LT Alaric Jackson’s 2026 salary is already secure. Processing a conversion on it (plus void years) can free up $15.6M of room.

S Quentin Lake’s 2026 compensation will be fully guaranteed by March 13th. Converting most of it to signing bonus first can open up $8.6M of space.

Most of you know how these all relate to each other. Hell, I'm probably forgetting some more with the way our luck has been. How in the hell do I keep seeing my teams hopes and dreams destroyed in the playoffs by disastrous special team play? I've got some serious PTSD with special teams. I want nothing to do with them... I sit there expecting the worst every time. I need it to stop because nothing pisses me off more than losing or giving up points because of dumbass special teams plays. Fuck, at this point just don't field a returner. I don't care, leave the backfield empty. Let the ball fall where it may. At least then the MVP gets to touch the ball.

Sorry, probably not worth a new thread but the irony of this shit is wearing me out. How many more of these will I endure before I die?

I personally feel the 2001 team that lost to the Patriots in SB XXXVI was better than our SB championship teams. If not for the proven filming of our practices and mugging of our WRs that went uncalled, we win that game going away.

So, if that team jumped in a time machine in 2002 and came to 2026 to play our current Rams, what would happen? The guys are bigger 25 years later, but with Faulk/Bruce/Holt and Warner, against THIS YEAR'S DEFENSE, I don't see them ever having to play a 3rd down nor settling for a field goal.

What about our current offense against THAT defense? Maybe 20 points?

Likely isn't a need, but I think he's undervalued and would be a great fit in our offense as a movable chess piece for McVay, especially with McVay's newfound love of TEs. He's surehanded (excepting his rookie year), gifted after the catch, and a good route runner. We bring back Nick Scott for his special teams prowess. I also added Christian Harris for special teams. We need some speed and hitting on that unit. Fred Johnson will serve as our swing OT.

Analysis: Like I said, I haven't done much evaluating for the Draft to this point. I've watched these guys casually and thought they were impressive. Styles is a big, rangy ILB who excels in coverage and tackles well. We desperately need that guy next to Landman. I took him because I considered him the BPA here. Concepcion is a playmaker at WR and in the return game. He has inside-out versatility, great YAC skills, and the ability to be a high-level route runner. He also has the vertical speed to threaten defenses deep. I think he could develop into a great WR with Davante and Puka mentoring him. Muhammad is a big-time athlete at CB who has good size. His game needs some polishing, but he has legit cover skills. Casey seems like a solid OL who can offer depth across the unit. Kamara is short, but he was incredibly productive in college and excels at pressuring the QB. Prysock is a long CB with good athleticism and great intangibles. He can be a bit grabby. I see Gentry as a potential special teams ace. Long, athletic, and can tackle. Good zone coverage ILB too. Regis is a short, squatty NT. Think he can help with run defense. Lacy is a gifted returner and a productive slot WR. Burton is a solid, experienced IOL. And I see Nwankpa as a special teams player.

Obviously we all wish a different outcome, but I found myself not feeling the loss as I did when we lost to them last time. You could see that the Rams derailed after that game.

I am most bummed that Stafford's crazy, possibly MVP season was wasted, and I agree with most of the fan's observations that the defense and special teams cost us a lot of games.

Overall great season and I will REALLY be looking forward to seeing what the Rams do in the draft and offseason to beef up this team.

Was fun while it lasted I guess. Feels like a giant waste of time. Whatever man.

Alright, we had some entertaining responses to the "stress" thread, so I'll give a "superstitions" thread a shot.

My good friend Andy bought a yellow Rams hat when we went to the Colts game this year. Andy had a terrible all-time 0-4 record (!!) watching Rams games in-person, but the Yellow Hat turned the tide. In addition, every single game he has watched this year on TV while wearing the Yellow Hat, the Rams have won. Needless to say, I am insisting that he wear the Yellow Hat on Sunday.

My wife tends to watch parts of games, and during the Bears game, she took a break during OT, when the Bears were driving. When the Bears hit midfield, and everything looked lost, I insisted that she come back in to watch and give moral support. She came in right before Curl's amazing interception. She had been working on a furniture -refinishing project, and was wearing yellow gloves. So now she's keeping the yellow gloves close by on Sunday, just in case we need a big play.

As for me, I've got a lucky Rams T-shirt that has been 2-0 in our two playoff games this year. So I''ll be wearing it tomorrow.

By the way: I'm a total skeptic and don't believe in any of this stuff. Except when it comes to the Rams. I just gotta believe in something to take the edge off.

The Rams’ intent on keeping young OT​

The prevailing belief outside league circles is that offensive tackle is a position of need for the Los Angeles Rams, who battle the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday in the NFC title game. It’s a narrative I bought into, as I had the team selecting Max Iheanachor in the second round of my recent two-round mock draft.

Yet sources tell me this is untrue and the team is happy with both offensive tackles, including right side blocker Warren McClendon Jr., their fifth-round pick from the 2023 draft. In fact, I’m told the Rams will look to extend McClendon, who will be entering the final year of his rookie contract in 2026, during the offseason. Locking him up in the future is expected to cost the Rams around $20 million annually.

McClendon was a terrific tackle in college for the Georgia Bulldogs, though questions about his size and ability to hold up at right tackle were red flags. After playing just five games as a rookie, then starting five the following season, McClendon started 10 games this year.

The team’s left tackle, 2021 undrafted free agent Alaric Jackson, signed a three-year, $57 million contract with the franchise prior to the start of this season.
