Dak Prescott is pretty good, so is Manning, and Wilson.
We lost against Wilson And Manning this year isn’t a very good QB especially with him missing so many of his weapons remember what happened the last time Johnson had to play against OBJ it wasn’t pretty.

I'm going to disagree with a lotta folks here I usually agree with

Maybe I'm just an anachronism, but that guy quit on a professional football field

Please please please spare me his reasons...cuz they're just aren't any I'm going to give credence to HE QUIT. Bow wow wow

I'd be shocked if these Rams give even one thought to bringing that guy back
They won't, and even though im a huge fan of JJ, we don't need him. I have faith in Phillips grabbing a badass corner in the draft and this whole shoulda, coulda, woulda talk about JJ will be in the past.

I think the only reason TruJo is still on the team with a second 'franchise tag' is because McVay felt he had few other options at this position. I can't remember which other high value free agents were available at the time, but I do recall some questioning whether he was a Wade Phillips long term fit. As for Demoff, he sticks to his guns on not over-valuing his players, although Austin somehow made it under the radar on that front. jmo.
Exactly and that’s what I mean by Johnson taking advantage of the situation. I firmly believe that if they would have signed Jenkins for the same contract he has now that they could have signed Johnson for what he actually made in 2 yrs

We lost against the refs, Wilson didn't beat us. Manning is a good QB but is in a dumpster fire because he has no one on the O. Do you think JJ would of been able to handle our guys if he wasn't suspended? We would of embarrassed him and he probably would of quit by half time. He wouldn't have came back out for the 2nd half he would of left like most fans

Yeah he can actually because he would have been covering Watkins all game. And he would have extra motivation to play against us. I’m glad he didn’t because it definitely made the game a lot easier for Goff and our offense as a whole

I can't disagree with that, but it still doesn't answer why Fisher chose Tru over JJ unless Fisher was completely out of the loop, although that somehow rings hollow as his domination over Snead appears relatively strong. I'm not sure we ever get to the bottom of it. jmo.

I nicely disagree with you, but ok. He is just a stellar multi pro bowler CB.

Yeah, Jenkins would have been concentrating on his Pick 6's so much we probably would have burned him for 3 touchdowns. :D

I remember there was an actual statement from fisher saying that he wanted to bring Jenkins back

That would actually be correct, would you rather pay 31 million in 2 yrs for a guy that hasn’t been to a pro bowl or 42 million in 5 yrs for a guy that has and played at an elite level. There isn’t an excuse for what he did but to say he isn’t a difference maker on the field isn’t factual

Isn't that what any coach would say when there are 2 potential free agents at the same position and that they are both pretty damn good ? If there's anything i've learned over the years, never trust a coach or front office when speaking publicly, it's all obfuscation multiplied by smoke & mirrors. jmo.

Jenkins is another head case who has amazing athletic ability but unfortunately does not understand the team concept.
He is too focused on a Pick 6 rather than shutting down the 1A receiver he is playing against.
I have always had a problem with his attitude. It seems like it's coming back to bite him with the finicky New York Giants fans as well.
JMO.

He wasn't a pro bowler with the Rams though.

No this was when he got fired I remember him saying that he wanted to bring Jenkins back the point is he could have easily said we didn’t want him at the price he wanted but Fisher said I wanted him back it just didn’t work out and we find out that Jenkins got a lowball offer

I dont understand why other grown men care how many kids by different women another grown man has but since that’s such a problem tell me how many times you heard about him or his baby mommas in the media?? Before he signed his contract with the Giants he increased his child support for them on his own. We don’t know what’s going on inside the locker room with the Giants but to bring up a guy personal life like it’s a negative is desperate and unseemly
Overall I think I agree with you dxmissile, it probably was not a good idea for me to mention JJ’s parenting choices. Even though it is my personal opinion that it was not a great idea for Janoris to become a father at such a young age to multiple kids with multiple women, I probably shouldn’t have mentioned it in a thread about football.

In general, I question JJ’s maturity, football IQ, and his commitment as a teammate. Janoris had a lot of problems before signing with the Rams (fights, arrests, drug citations, being kicked off his team) and now he’s running into trouble with the Giants. But I’ll agree with you dx, I could have mentioned my concerns about JJ without mentioning the parent stuff— too much of a loaded topic.

If they want to get rid of him, I'm happy to have him back.

You definitely made some good points and to a degree that did probably lead him to some of his bad choices when he wAs younger. But as a professional this is really his 1st infraction in 5/6 years in the league when most people was saying he was go be out of the league within 2 yrs

Alot of interesting posts.
Honestly I am on both sides of this fence. I wanted Trujo and to let JJ go but I have been disappointed in Trujo's play TBH. I thought he was a #1 and realize he isn't. He's a really good #2 CB though in the NFL.

I don't like that JJ quite on a field. He can be disgruntled on a team or a franchise but you ask for a trade or to be released. You don't quite on the field.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think JJ sees the mistake he made now. He left for money and is not happy. It was fine and dandy last year when they did okay but now that everything in the franchise is out of wack he sees what he left behind.

I think he bought in on the Rams.
What they were building and see that it's special now and he left after all that work he put in and he's not happy now.

That old saying " money doesn't buy you happiness" is apparent to me right now but JJ's actions.
I can relate to this in my personal life and I see and feel that is what is going on with him.

That all said I wouldn't mind him back if cut since the trade deadline went by.
