JJ's a top end CB but i don't think he'd be on the Rams' radar. IMO they'll go out this next offseason and shore up a few areas including CB. Not sure if TruJ returns to be honest.

Are you guys kidding me?? Jack rabbit is a lock down corner. He would thrive in this environment, the dysfunction is EVERYWHERE in that Giants locker room -- you can't blame him.

Here's a refresher on some FIRST ROUND DB busts for those that think lock down corners just grow on trees:

Justin Gilbert
Kyle Fuller
Darqueze Dennard
Dee Milliner
DJ Hayden
Morris Claiborne
Dre Kirkpatrick

...and that's just in recent years. We would be crazy not to entertain Jenkins with TruJo future up in the air.

I have always been a Jack Rabbit fan,,, but damn,,, he definitely quit on his team. That is never acceptable. That tape never goes away... good thing for him that he's already got a big $ contract.

One thing's for certain about him though...

HE'S ALWAYS STRIP CLUB READY. That,,, can never be questioned.

Not as good as it would be with him.
(The following is not directed at you Les.
Btw, my father’s name was Les(lie). Or are you a Lester?)

I like Tru a lot - but he hit the lotto getting $30M+ for two years.
Like JJ way more, always thought he got a bad rap, and btw, was a decent tackler as well as a true shut down corner. And always kept his nose clean.
Those clips notwithstanding ( he really wasn’t in a good position on either one) I’d grab JJ in a heartbeat.
(Incognito as well)

Other than violent assault or domestic abuse, spare me the outrage for those whose lifestyle/mores you disagree with.
A. - it doesn’t matter, and B.- it’s none of your goddamn business.

Vegas, spare me your outrage over non-existent outrage. If you want to see ACTUAL outrage, try posting about how Jared Cook is a terrific player.

And it’s silly to say JJ was “out of position” on those whiffs versus the Giants— he just flat-out quit.

I disagree with you that “the only things that matter” are “violent assault and domestic abuse”, while everything else is “ none of our goddamn business.”
Evaluating “character” can and should be a part of deciding whether to add a player to your team. Someone like Kenny Britt’s douchebaggery and me-first attitude is plenty enough to not want him back on the team. And although you would welcome back a jerk like incognito, I think the rams should do their homework to see if he’s really changed from the guy who used to be a bullying roid-rage asshole who yells racist crap.

Character matters.

Jackrabbit has always been an up and down guy. I think he loses focus on the game at times, and it's why at the time I didn't give the Rams as much flak as some others did when they let him walk in FA.

They got a lot of return from him in year one of that contract, but it remains to be seen if he plays up to it the rest of the way.

Personally, I wouldn't want him back at that contract amount. Just like with Tru, I'll take my chances drafting and developing a guy who's all-in with the TEAM. This next draft needs to be pretty heavy on defense, with at least one good CB prospect along with an edge OLB and maybe a safety as well depending on what happens with Joyner.

Never said I was outraged, just amused. Also never said Jared Cook was a "terrific" player - I posted that he was playing better than he did with the Rams. I still think he is, but most everyone else disagreed. Cool with that.

And it’s silly to say JJ was “out of position” on those whiffs versus the Giants— he just flat-out quit.

That was a reach - playing devil's advocate there - my bad. I was flat wrong.

I disagree with you that “the only things that matter” are “violent assault and domestic abuse”, while everything else is “ none of our goddamn business.”

My point was (and is), JJ is an exceptional corner, but is a fucking goof. But taking stupid selfies, getting high and having kids out of wedlock does not make him a bad teammate. Or even a "low character" guy, character being somewhat subjective based on one's own personal set of values.

OTTH, there ARE traits that are flat wrong, and should never be acceptable. JJ's not guilty, imo, of any of these.

Incognito? (TMZ notwithstanding), as far as I know, with one obvious exception, most of his teammates were cool with him.

If Janoris quitting on his team (who have all mailed it in) is unacceptable, then half this team should be booted out for last season.

Giants fan thrown off railing by police in angry, bloody scene
By Hannah Withiam

http://nypost.com/2017/11/13/giants-fan-thrown-off-railing-by-49ers-guard-in-angry-bloody-scene/

While Janoris Jenkins was causing his own problems during and after the Giants’ most embarrassing loss of the season, a fan of the cornerback became a terror in the stands Sunday.

Video emerged after the game of a fan, wearing a white Jenkins jersey, being ejected from Levi’s Stadium in the fourth quarter of the Giants’ 31-21 defeat by the previously winless 49ers after causing a violent scene in the stands, requiring seven officers to detain and remove him.

Sitting right behind the Giants’ bench with a small New York contingent, the unruly fan began cursing at and showing the middle finger to Giants defenders as they walked back to the sideline following the 49ers’ final touchdown, which sealed their first victory — and the Giants’ eighth loss. Footage shows the fan fighting back against the police officers, who first attempted to escort him from his seat.

The abrasive fan was “heckling” and “tried to spit on” the closest guard, a witness told NJ.com after the game, which led to him tumbling over the wall and onto the field as the guard jumped on top of him and threw a couple of punches. He was met by two more guards who pinned him to the turf, tased and handcuffed him, before leading him out of the stadium along with his female companion.

The incident left the fan with blood on both sides of his face and one guard with a bloody nose, according to the same witness.

Jenkins, in the second year of a five-year, $62.5 million deal with the Giants, showed a lack of energy — and remorse — in his first game back from suspension, failing to stop two long 49ers touchdown plays before blowing off reporters after the loss.

Is getting completely lambasted on NY talk shows for his game yesterday.
Yeah, I was listening to WFAN all night, as I wasn't feeling well and it kept me up. Man...Jenkins was only one of many who the media absolutely barbequed.
It is a total crap show in NY.
So, they put together a snippet of all the times McAdoo referred to watching the tapes... it was hilarious... he referenced it 11 times! Then, it dawned on me how Fisher said that all the times after losses... "well, we'll go back and look at the tapes". One of the media guys was yelling... YOU WERE AT THE FREAKING GAME... YOU SHOULD KNOW WHAT WENT WRONG... YOU DON'T NEED TAPES!!

Never was a Jenkins fan... mainly because of the inconsistency:
Jackrabbit has always been an up and down guy. I think he loses focus on the game at times
(y)

Could be wrong... but I agree with these comments... I do not see him as a fit for a McVay team... too much "me" in him.
he wouldn't qualify as a McVay 'we' type player for his Rams.
Dieter and others, please check out a couple of those “Jenkins completely quitting” vids in the link by the OP before you decide how sure u are about wanting him back.
He can keep his "Me" brand elsewhere.
JJ doesn't fit in this new Rams organization his attitude is no bueno and sometimes true colors show down the road
I don't respect rage quitters.
Skill set aside, I don't think his mindset is a fit.
Count me among those who'd rather see the Rams draft a CB next year, rather than bring JJ back.
Draft a CB next year... the Rams are doing very well without Jackass (the NY media is calling him that now... I called him that before the Rams game against them).

Oh... and one other thing... bolting out the back door after a performance like that? Man up, Jackass.

I don't recall who the tackle was this week for DAL.. but, he got OWNED for at least 6 sacks.
He took all the questions from the media... very impressive and you can respect that... that's something a McVay player would do...

But, apparently, it's not what Jackass does... prime example of why he is not a fit on a McVay team.

Gotta be kind of tough on Jenkins - not just that his new team sucks - but to see how good the Rams look all of a sudden.

Vegas, thanks for the reply. Gotta acknowledge I agree with everything you said in this latest post.

I especially agree with this:

I give JJ a huge amount of credit for coming as far along as he has since being kicked out of Florida. In my personal opinion, I was concerned that JJ would be especially motivated to play hard for his first big contract, but his play might tail off after that. So I was pleasantly surprised by how well JJ played for the Giants even after his big payday. But now, after his recent lack of effort, some of my old concerns are creeping back. Having said all that, I acknowledge that all this is purely idle speculation from a fan. I don't have any sort of deep knowledge about JJ, I simply share some of those surface impressions that he's a bit of a goofball and a party guy.

As for Incognito, maybe I'm a bit biased cuz his actions in 2013 struck me as really messed up. However, sounds like he has tried hard in recent years to be a better person and teammate.

Bottom line with JJ-- in my personal opinion, I think he would "probably" be a good teammate on the Rams. There's no doubt he's an exceptionally talented guy. But in the back of my mind, I'd always be concerned that he'd party a little too hard or do something stupid.

Many were.
True, but our D who gave up very little points in the first half of the season all of a sudden were allowing teams to blow us out the last half. And our beloved Gurley went out and called out our coaching staff by saying we were a "middle school offense". I doubt he played 100% for having so little faith in our coaching staff. Alot of key players on our team seemed to have mailed it in last season. I dont blame them and neither were alot of us.

well he may have struggled that game.. but much of the year he has been one of the highest graded CB's in the league.

Actually Jenkins best games came against taller receivers I remember his first game against the lions when they was testing him with fade routes like 3 plays in a row while he was a rookie then he intercepted a slant that was going to the TE. He shut down DZ Bryant all the time the guys that he did have problems with was the shifty double move route runners. Johnson is good I have just seem too many WRs toasting him this year and others
I remember JJ being called for PI and holding against bigger WR or sometimes just Mossed. He's better now but he's better at jumping routes instead of contesting at the highest point.

As far as Tru, he got beat by Dez with the first jump ball but was with him the rest of the game and he did a good job shadowing Fitz. I'm not sure if its still true, but he was one of the few corners that has not been for a TD this year. Hopkins had some catches but they were acrobatic toe taps, the same with Garcon. He's taking the hardest matchups and sometimes a play or so happens but I think he's been fantastic so far.

Jenkins rarely got called for holding or PI yea sometimes he did get mossed but the only guy I saw him really get missed by was Doug Baldwin.

As far as Johnson he has been good but he has also been very lucky. There had been at least 10 over throws on him with about 4 that would have been touchdowns if caught. I always say good teams make their own luck so I’m still pleased with Johnson, but I know the shoe will eventually drop and he get exposed.

That's probably why I remember something like that lol. I was probably mad because it was a shitty Seahawk haha
