I actually think the ball was more wide then too high. I think Goff though he was going to the corner but Reynolds flattended his route out because of the coverage which IMO was the right thing to do caus eif he continues to drive then more likely then not it’s either a Offensive PI or the DB under cuts the route based off his coverage. Reynolds did a basketball move and Posted up the smaller defender it should have been a Defensive PI but we know how that goes

HE BARELY GOT OFF THE GROUND BECAUSE THE DB HIT AND GRABBED HIM! THAT BALL WAS NOT OVERTHROWN. IT WAS PERFECTLY PLACED FOR A 6'3" WR AGAINST A SMALLER DB.

I can use caps too. There's nothing cherry-picked about that crap. You go create a video. I have no freaking clue how to do it, and it's not worth my time.

Don't need to actually.

It's on ESPN's front page with the title "Goff misses target on final play".

No PI, nothing.

It was overthrown. Nowhere near perfectly placed.

Sorry but even if nobody was within 10 feet of him he wasn't coming down with that ball. It was a foot and a half out of his reach.

Also Mcvey needs to learn one huge thing and maybe even though Wade has his problems with the defense (it does come up big at times when needed) he could give Mcvey a tip on offense like TAKE WHAT THE DEFENSE IS GIVING YOU!!!!!

It's not mandated that we have to win with the air corial style football

We have talent and athleticism at most skill positions so take the check downs take the short plays take the first downs take the long drives keep the opposition defense on the field eventually something will give talent can break a short for a long play and the defense will have to adjust. Right now the opposing defenses are daring Mcvey and instead of a checkmate he just knocking the pieces off the board cause he can't win his way.

If you make the adjustments take the long drives which you need in playoff football dink and dunk til your player makes a play and the other stuff will open up pump fakes etc... Again it's basically what we do on play action. Don't force your way he is playing right into the oppositions hands.

I love Mcvey he has done so much for us already and been labeled the boy genius but a true genius now will figure out how to checkmate we have the personell so use it. Last I checked 4 yards 4 yards 2 yards first down chip away make them tired keep our defense off the field time of possession we have the pieces to run any type of offense.

Lastly I absolutely love cooper Kupp but this isn't on him being lost Reynolds has done a good job over all and is not like Kupp was jerry rice. How do other teams overcome losses ...like the Chargers Keenan Allen, Ekler,Bosa, Gordon, etc.

The ball was perfectly placed. Reynolds did a half ass job of going after the ball. He jumps about a foot off the ground. There may be DPI there at least illegal contact after 5 yards. But Reynolds has to do a better job of fighting for that ball.

My thoughts exactly.

Thank you. Reynolds barely got off the ground. And there's no way they let that go if it's 2nd down in the 3rd quarter. They call DPI. Well, maybe not the Vinobitch crew, but a decent crew does. He hit Reynolds and then grabbed him before the ball got there. Still, I would have preferred we threw that to Hodge or Everett.

So out of his reach is perfectly placed?

There is no DPI on that play. There is not "fighting for the ball" as if they both had a shot at it LOL.

It's overthrown. Out of reach for both of them. There is no fighting for it that's just silly.

The DB lets it sail away because it isn't going to get caught by anyone.

If that ball was 2 feet lower it's a TD.

But it wasn't.

That final pass play typified the evening tbh. Goff did overthrow it a bit, but it should have been within Reynolds' range the dude is 6'4" and barely jumped or stretched out for it.

The bigger problem on that play IMO is that Reynolds didn't have the want-to in order to go get that pass. The DB hitting him wouldn't have stopped the play if he had put himself up for it with effort in time to go get it.

I could jump a foot of the ground. These guys are athletes. Where they jump 2-4 feet off the ground. You tell me that’s an overthrown ball in the NFL I call BS.

"They needed that loss. They'll learn from it."

Proven to be a bullshit cliche. Rams have lost two in a row and haven't learned anything that we don't already know...losing sucks!

The last play was just the icing on the cake. This game was lost way before that play. That was just our chance for a miracle chance to overcome.

Between all the missed blocks. The unbelievable turnovers. Missing wide open TD passes. Inability to stop Alshon Jeffrey and their running game. Failing the fake punt. Fumbling the final punt return.

This game was lost in all aspects of the game. No Rams players wanted to win today.

2-4 feet?

Really? Are you sure??? 2-4 feet??? The BEST leapers in the history of the NBA with no football gear holding them down aren't getting 4 feet up in the air. So suddenly they are all Jordan???

So when a ball sails way over the receivers hands it's not an overthrown ball? He just needs to summon up that 4o plus inch vertical to go get it right?

Do you know how many people in pro sports have a vertical that would have gotten them to that ball while wearing 25 or so pounds of football gear?

It's a short list, and they all play in the NBA. And they are really tall.

Hence why I said 2-4 feet. Never did I say EVERYONE could jump 4 freaking feet. Give me a break. You’re pulling straws at this point.

I guess we just should have thrown the jump ball to Haden:

Looks like he can get more than 6 inches off the ground. ;)

You are pissing into the wind, my Rams brother. I see what you do. I imagine many others do too. Often, you just can't convince people to change their minds. There's something called the "Backfire Effect." It's difficult to get people to rethink what they believe to be true.

Just got home from the game. Eagles fans everywhere at the game and I really hate the fact 35,000 Eagles fans can show up to our house. Ridiculous. The last several night games have been sketchy for the Rams. Pray for daytime games for the playoffs.

No home field advantage, no pass rush, same bad playcalling we've seen the past month, A FADING OLD O LINE, an inconsistent Goff (being nice here), no commitment to the run game.

The fact that we are crumbling and playing our worst football of the year right now is so concerning. Hard to find a silver lining after these past few weeks. Im starting to question McVay... starting to wonder about Goff's mental toughness. Man what happened it feels like the wheels are falling off.
