Seriously was trying to be positive and see the silver lining with us taking a LB ( my favorite position ) and went to watch some of his games. Guy seems to be average and a reach tbh. He has a good pair of hands if the ball gets near him but he takes the wrong first step a lot, gets washed out in run plays, bad angles, is to light when a OL touches him he's basically done, no swim or violent arms/hands to get blockers off of him.

smfh I'm out hopefully the devalued picks from the Whiners save us tomorrow and the weed smoke clears up from the draft house.

So the Rams are looking at a KC model on offense.....
A couple of excellent WRs who run great routes and know how to get open in Woods and Kupp. A developing guy in that same mold with Jefferson. A very effective TE.
Now Tutu to fill the Hill role.
I am interested to see how McVay uses him. Is he going to be able to get off the line?
Tavon never could.
Getting a guy like Tutu into the game on 30% or more of the offensive snaps could be huge.
A guy who can bust a play from anywhere anytime. Have to get him in space like KC is able to do with Hill.
I hope McVay doesn’t get into his playcalling funks ands up using him on jet sweeps only.
Stafford with plays that get the ball out of his hand quickly can be very good. I think Stafford with a good running game (mostly lacking in Detroit) and play action can be great.
I am wondering if the plan at C is Allen again or Arch?

Regardless of whether we drafted Humphrey or Meinerz or any other IOL, truth is, they were unlikely to start this year. McVay has shown little interest in starting rookie O linemen.

My disappointment lies in the fact that had we drafted one of these guys, they would have had a very solid redshirt year to learn our system and start next year when a few of our current linemen come off contract.

What kills me about it is that most of us thought Humphrey would be gone by the time we picked, yet he fell right into our lap. So we take a gadget smurf.

I'm really getting tired of McSnead de-emphasizing the trenches. It cost us bigly the last two years, and now we've got a 12 year vet for a QB with plenty of wear on his tread, and we're going to hang him out to dry as well?

Fuck!
The combination of Mcvays youth and Sneads scattered brain is catching up to us.

We are now at the end of prime Free agency and draft acquisitions and the 2021 team looks weaker than 2020.

With all the doubts, Atwell was ranked 44 overall by ESPN.

Tutu wasn't a bad pick. We needed a speed WR and he's arguably the best in this entire draft. You can argue whether taking WR that early was smart, but the player in a vaccum is very good.

The problem with today was how we handled the 3rd round. Trading down from 88 when there were multiple IOL prospects, and getting beat in the trade handily by a division rival (112 to 150 on the trade value chart) which allowed them to draft their guy was just not smart. Jones could be a solid player for us but we need to address the OL in our division. And to blatantly ignore it is very concerning. Or maybe Shelton, Noteboom, Anchrum, and Evans are all just better than we think.
