We got beaten fairly badly on the trade value chart

yeah and besides getting beat on trade value we let a division rival get the guy they wanted. should never trade with a division rival unless you get great trade value. don't you know the 49ers are laughing at us right now.

I'm going to put this out into the world. We should draft Shakur Brown or Bryce Thompson on Day 3.

I hate that we are ignoring the interior of our sorry ass line....I mean center.....could of had Humphrey but he goes to the Chiefs. If we drafted Humphrey and this LB, I'm sure we'd be much happier and better for it. Dumbasses.

What kills me about it is that most of us thought Humphrey would be gone by the time we picked, yet he fell right into our lap. So we take a gadget smurf.

I'm really getting tired of McSnead de-emphasizing the trenches. It cost us bigly the last two years, and now we've got a 12 year vet for a QB with plenty of wear on his tread, and we're going to hang him out to dry as well?

Fuck!

True, but football isn't played in shorts. Diagnostic and processing speed. Anticipation. Intangibles. A "slow" player can easily find themselves in the right place at the right time more often than a dim witted speedster. Let's see how the young man does!
I really really hope he does well, trust me. I'm just bummed with the results of our draft and feel we reached on both, Tutu ROUNDS of reach IMO.

With all the doubts, Atwell was ranked 44 overall by ESPN.

Stafford or bust!

Same team as last year minus JJ and Brockers.

In Stafford we trust I guess.

Zero starters in free agency or the draft.

expect the same next year.

Infinitely more speed at WR

Stud Akers vs rookie Akers

QB

Our offense is in significantly better shape than it was last year.

Brockers replacement was already on the roster - only real concern is JJ, have to see how Burgess/Rapp do

So what I took from today is McSnead wasn't blowing smoke up our rears and they do not view any glaring holes on our roster. They are comfortable with whoever they have slotted to start at center who is already on the roster. They are comfortable with starters across the board. And spent today adding picks to round out depth tomorrow while grabbing a YAC master for McVay to play with and an ILB depth pick to develop which we desperately needed. /shrug

Offensive line was good last year by almost any metric. The only weak link on that line is no longer here.

I don't see McVay willingly starting a rookie offensive lineman - he even said something about Edwards and Evans being forced to play before he wanted them to because of injury.

We will draft some OL tomorrow - at least one. But I agree that the starters were already on the roster. Most likely Corbett at C and then an open competition at guard between Evans, Anchrum and Noteboom.

That's pretty dramatic
I believe Brad Holmes was our head of college scouting for years and now it's his underlings and Snead. I've feared this Holmes left for Detroit and today was somewhat of a confirmation for me.
