I dont have much of an opinion. I have full confidence in the FO until they give me a reason not to. When we start losing, and guys dont pan out at all... then yeah, I'll most likely change my stance which means there could be change in the FO. But until that time, I'm honestly ok with whoever they draft. They are in their respective positions for a reason. Not to mention that other coaches and FO dudes keep getting plucked from us; there is fruit of our success.
I get that, and I respect that. Me personally felt like we had better options, but failed to capitalize on it.

Just a casual observation From my time here

I’ve seen the pick of Tavon Austin praised
Ive seen Todd Gurley pick renounced
Greg Robinson was praised by the majority
Jeff Holland meltdown
same for Shaquem Griffin

just to name a few

I try not to get to worked up over these things

I really like the addition of the two mid 4th round picks, having a night to study the reset board appears to be what Snead does best, this draft is so way different due to the unknowns from last years abbreviated cfb season

I’d say we’re set up nicely
Good perspective ... re-freshing.

I had Subway for dinner too. It was good but Joe Biden wasn't part of the Mars flight last month so not sure why Tom Brady didn't retire.

Probably because he will win another SuperBowl & the Rams didn’t address the Offensive line - lol .

I still think The Rams feel good with where they are at. I guess Landon Dickerson’s knee was messed up & was to much like that other Bama Center Les Snead drafted.
Dollar for dollar though all the picks were better than Greg Robinson.

So I keep seeing people say Snead and McVay are great at drafting and have a good enough track record that we shouldn't question them. That's fine I get it either support everything they do or shut up and sit in a corner attitude is common these days. But how about the misses?

2017
Kupp and JJ3 Unquestioned great picks
Gerald Everett - Showed athletic promise and had some decent plays but largely just another guy as a backup TE.
Josh Reynolds - Just a 4th WR at best.
Samson Ebukam - Won a defensive player of the week but is anybody impressed with his time with us?
Tanzel Smart - I think he took some snaps as a rotational DL guy. Largely a JAG (just another guy)
Sam Rogers and Ejuan Price I don't know they ever even made the roster so 2 of 8 good picks 2 others roster filler backups.

2018
Noteboom - Largely a failure at Guard but was ok in limited time at LT but has injury issues.
Brian Allen - Most around here were pissed he wasn't cut after his run as starter but seems to be the heir apparent to Blythe so who knows what that means
John Franklin Myers - On the Rams 1 year out of the league the next then was ok from reports last year with the Jets
Micah Kiser - Injured a lot and I think most around here aren't happy with him since a lot seem to want to replace him on the roster with a guy who's comp is him.
Okowronkwo - Showed some flashes but injury issues.
John Kelly - 30 carries in 3 years....
Jamil Demby - I think people think worse of him than of Brian Allen.
Sebastian Joseph-Day - Starting NT and a good player.
Trevon Young, Travin Howard and Justin Lawler - I don't think there's a defensive start among the three in 3 years.

So 1 stud and the rest seems like a bunch of JAG or busts.

2019
Taylor Rapp - Was good his rookie year mostly then got hurt and lost his starting job in camp to a rookie. Jury still out but should be good if he can stay healthy.
Darrell Henderson - Again health issues but seems a decent backup RB
David Long - Hasn't done much to show he can be a starter.
Bobby Evans - Seems good enough as a backup Has only started 7 games in 2 years and that was due to injuries of guys ahead of him.
Greg Gaines - Seems like good depth had a good 2020 after being largely a non factor his rookie year.
David Edwards - Seems like a decent starting Guard.
Nick Scott - Good special teams player and got some defense snaps last year due to all the injuries.
Dakota Allen - Training camp all star that got poached when we tried to put him on the PS. Started 2 games last year for the Jags.

Still to early to tell but 2 look good another couple look like they could be good roster filler.

2020 its too early to tell but a couple look good.

They've done a good job of building and coaching a winner but lets not pretend that they don't have their faults in the draft and free agency here guys.

Certainly not weaker on offense. Stafford is a big improvement and I'd argue that our OL is better by default with whoever Blythe's replacement happens to become. And we may not like where our new gadget WR was drafted, but he still offers us an element which didn't exist last year, that's a lot of weapons for Stafford to put to use. If DeSean Jackson can remain healthy, that's one more game changer on this already deep roster. The off-season is no-where near complete as potential trades and the next phase of free agency could still mean more additions. Now Les, make me happy and round things out by trading one of our 4'th rounders for TE David Njoku.

On defense we have a number of 2020 injured players returning to the line-up along with a host of reserve players which is likely to produce at least one or two surprises for us, so i'm not going to let the negativity get me down. jmo.

I think Taylor Rapp is gonna come back and have a MONSTER year!

We will see. At least it will be a fair comparison with the same shitty Oline.

Ill give you all my Rod dollars if There is some magical offensive bump.

And would be happy to be wrong. But I’ve seen this rerun before.

Jared Goff got a couple nice players to protect him.I think both players will have better numbers in 2021.

I'm hoping for the same from Terrell Lewis. Many intriguing players returning along with what appears to be some quality reserves applying for the 53 roster. Can't wait for camp ...

That's a bullshit take. Tutu isn't in Devonta's league.
He never said he was.

I'm pretty sure @jrry32 was pointing out that the school plays a huge part in when a player goes, and it does.

I have no clue about either player, but I do thoroughly enjoy stepping into discussions I'm not part of and putting words into other people's mouths. So there is that.

I didn't put words in his mouth. He said Tutu, who was drafted at pick #25 in the 2nd round, would have gone higher if he played on Alabama and Devonta Smith would not have been drafted in the 1st round if he played for Louisville. If Tutu is going higher in the 2nd and Devonta isn't going in the 1st, that means they would have been drafted in the same range of picks, at a minimum. That is in fact putting Tutu in Devonta's league.

The fact of the matter is that in 2019, Devonta Smith led Alabama in receiving yards and receiving TDs. That was an Alabama team that had Jerry Jeudy, Henry Ruggs, and Jaylen Waddle as its other three WRs. The Dolphins drafted Jaylen Waddle at #6 overall this year. The Broncos drafted Jerry Jeudy at #15 overall last year. And the Raiders drafted Henry Ruggs at #12 overall last year. Devonta Smith competed with those guys for snaps and targets and beat them out. And then, he went out and won the Heisman Trophy this year with an absolutely dominant display.

I don't care that the guy is 166 pounds. If Tutu had film like Devonta's, I wouldn't care that he's 155 pounds. Simply put, Devonta Smith is an incredible football player. Tutu isn't the same caliber of player or prospect. That would still be true if the two guys switched teams. Devonta Smith is the closest thing I've seen to peak Marvin Harrison since Marvin Harrison's prime ended. His skillset is just insane. Thank god he's not in our division.

Well, now you're jumping to ridiculous conclusions.

Like the one that I read your properly.

In summary: I think you both make good points.

LOL. No, I'm not. It's literally in his post. I jumped to the only rational conclusion mandated by his words. If Tutu is going higher and Devonta isn't going in the first, where are both guys going to end up?

Agreed.

Not sure about others, but my "complaining" about this draft is mostly in jest... just lookin' to rant while having some fun with it.

(Especially since my "scouting" involved watching a handful of highlight videos and sometimes reading Lindy's draft magazine when taking a dump.)

I was "pounding the table" for Meinerz and Humphrey, while whining about Tutu... but for all we know, those two OL could be busts while Tutu could be a game-changer. Who knows.

Draft is full of unknowns even for the experts. Like many here, I view McVay as the savior of this franchise, and while I may whine a bit on draft day, ultimately I'm just grateful that the Rams are a smart organization that's winning again.

Brian Allen anybody. The Rams pass on a Top Center again.I don’t mind the picks. The thing I don’t like is the value .

This little WR was worth waiting for imo. Trade back to th 80’s & 116.
Whatever the value chart. He would have still been there.

The thing that PISSES me off is Losing to the 9ers!!! This rookie RB out of OHIO STATE could beat The Rams up for the next 5 years & be better than Tre SOuth Dakota st. If that happens I’ll be PISSED each week his is rushing for over 70’ yards. Or makes a play to beat The Rams..

155lbs guy vs a 230lbs RB that has an excellent skill set. I saw dude beat Clemson & take over that game with Justin Fields. Talk about dotting that Buck-Eye
