It wouldn’t help to win but at least it would give you some perspective. Is Goff bad or is the scheme bad? This isn’t the first time Goff has pulled this Other worldly poop of a play and he almost threw 3 other INTs on top of what happened.
A team could change drastically for a different person under center. What was the point of playing your high paid QB in a non divisional game that was lost. No way saying Wolford is the answer but why not see where he’s at sitting on the bench where a game is already over.
What perspective? Jared didn't have the best game against Chicago either but the end result was a positive, so threads like these don't exist.
Also, the game was NOT lost. Again, an opportunity to make it a 1 possession game was there. You put your best player in. What was the backup going to do? Lead to victory?
But isn't that EXACTLY what some feel would NOT have happened if Russel Wilson was at QB?
Would he have stood still, held the ball, and fumbled 2 times in the first half?
Maybe. Maybe not.
Perhaps the Rams would not have been down THAT many points at halftime if a mobile QB who never gets injured was taking snaps.
THAT'S the whole concept behind my never gonna happen trade scenario. It's just for open discussion.
I never said we should trade Jared in real life.
Bruh. The defenders came so fast over and over and over again all game. We've seen these Rams do the same things to the QB you're "hypothetically" posed a trade to. Also, just because you're mobile doesn't mean you WON'T fumble. In fact, I'd argue they can be more prone to fumbling, but that's a different topic entirely. Again, the odds of two fumbles happening to a QB in a game is there, but not basically both taken back to the house PLUS a DST TD. And they still had a chance to make it a game near the end!
Also, these type of threads, whether you intend to or not, do appear trollish ESPECIALLY after a loss. What's the point of them? Why didn't it exist on Saturday? It's an immediate knee-jerk reaction, and it's been done after each loss this year by someone. Either creating a new one or bumping an old one that praised a player's performance. I can just smell the snark coming for those bumped threads. They add nothing but more emotion to fans that are already in a foul mood because of the result.
