I havent read past page one so forgive me but...When fans on this board recognize issues, then questions are posed such as this.

This is just the beginning. Goff must do something serious to influence how this ends.

I didn't mean to make anyone angry.
I was starting what I thought was a fun football discussion ... on a discussion forum?
That's kinda all there was to it.
Dont sweat it, its a valid discussion. Just because a mod has a vague comment about trolling, means nothing.

I don't think good should be traded and certainly not solely based on this game. However I would not mind if we really did have someone behind him that light a fire under him maybe pushes him. He often times seems a bit lost and very ho him like he knows they going to bench me for who?

Wilson is the 2nd best QB in the NFL. Of course I would take Wilson.

Thank you for your personal opinion on this HYPOTHETICAL ONLY trade.
In that hypothetical world I feel like we'd instantly be much better with R. Wilson.
And I hate Wilson as a person, which proves that this "would you" question was just for fun.

I've been a devout Rams fan since age seven in 1974 ..... where in 1979 at age ELEVEN I barely ate and drank for 2 weeks ... at eleven years old! ... because the Rams lost the superbowl. I'm a for real fan. But that doesn't mean I can't have fun discussions. Yet some here call me a "troll" haha, over a silly hypothetical discussion on what if we had a different person as QB. Sheesh people get way too riled up sometimes. :) Why does it butthurt some people's feelings to question whether Goff is a game changer or not? Sheesher weesher.

The odds of two fumbles from free rushers going for a TD and almost another, plus a PR TD in a single game is very low, but it happened.
But sure, trade him. Bench him. Sheesh.

But isn't that EXACTLY what some feel would NOT have happened if Russel Wilson was at QB?
Would he have stood still, held the ball, and fumbled 2 times in the first half?
Maybe. Maybe not.
Perhaps the Rams would not have been down THAT many points at halftime if a mobile QB who never gets injured was taking snaps.

THAT'S the whole concept behind my never gonna happen trade scenario. It's just for open discussion.
I never said we should trade Jared in real life.

It wouldn’t help to win but at least it would give you some perspective. Is Goff bad or is the scheme bad? This isn’t the first time Goff has pulled this Other worldly poop of a play and he almost threw 3 other INTs on top of what happened.

A team could change drastically for a different person under center. What was the point of playing your high paid QB in a non divisional game that was lost. No way saying Wolford is the answer but why not see where he’s at sitting on the bench where a game is already over.

What perspective? Jared didn't have the best game against Chicago either but the end result was a positive, so threads like these don't exist.

Also, the game was NOT lost. Again, an opportunity to make it a 1 possession game was there. You put your best player in. What was the backup going to do? Lead to victory?

But isn't that EXACTLY what some feel would NOT have happened if Russel Wilson was at QB?

Bruh. The defenders came so fast over and over and over again all game. We've seen these Rams do the same things to the QB you're "hypothetically" posed a trade to. Also, just because you're mobile doesn't mean you WON'T fumble. In fact, I'd argue they can be more prone to fumbling, but that's a different topic entirely. Again, the odds of two fumbles happening to a QB in a game is there, but not basically both taken back to the house PLUS a DST TD. And they still had a chance to make it a game near the end!

Also, these type of threads, whether you intend to or not, do appear trollish ESPECIALLY after a loss. What's the point of them? Why didn't it exist on Saturday? It's an immediate knee-jerk reaction, and it's been done after each loss this year by someone. Either creating a new one or bumping an old one that praised a player's performance. I can just smell the snark coming for those bumped threads. They add nothing but more emotion to fans that are already in a foul mood because of the result.

Nope.

He had a bad game but he wasn’t alone on the offensive side of the ball there.

I don’t understand the hate for Russ. Sure he’s with a division rival but he’s still a great QB. No one can deny that. Just because he plays for a rival means he’s hated no matter what? No. I’m a football fan. I love my Rams. And I know talent and respect it when I see it. Does Russ make us better right now, instead of Goff? Abso fucking lutely, but also Russ has 4 more years of experience than Goff.

Where will Goff be after 4 more years of experience? Hopefully a top quarterback, I’m sure we can all agree on that. Goff has shown improvement every year IMO. I look at the New Orleans NFC Championship game and see a top, clutch QB making all the throws and I would encourage everyone to rewatch that game just to see how good he was in that game in a hostile environment.

With all that being said this thread is stupid. This hypothetical will never happen and it just pisses people off.

Haha, look at the vent thread for emotionally triggered. Lord knows what the gdt looked like.

It was a hypothetical trade that will never happen. But how can any ram fan yearn for a division rival's qb? I'm pretty sure these are all the emotionally triggered posters in those threads.

Wilson throw 3 interceptions vs a division rival shit defense last week. One week later "Who wants Wilson?"

Same type of people that chased Warner and Martz out of town and set us back 16 years before we got back to the playoffs and Super Bowl with Goff.

Get real and support your team unless you want another 2 decades of losing.

Oh and by the way, that Same Warner led the Cardinals to a Super Bowl shortly after Rams fans ran him out of town.

Wilson has been one of the worst playoff QB's in recent memory. His only success has been behind a #1 defense called the Legion of Boom. Without them he is one and done nearly every year. So lets stop with the nonsense.

Your answer is interesting.
And to me, it makes my "what if" scenario even more interesting. Here's why I say that.
Did you know that there are people that feel Goff is a BETTER QB than Wilson? There are some on this very thread. They say the would not trade Wilson for Goff straight across. And their personal opinion is just as valid as yours and mine.

So you say you think Wilson is the #2 QB in the entire world. That's a VERY good QB then.
And some here, well, many here, say they would want to stick with Goff over Wilson.

What's interesting is how people watching the same thing, are coming to different conclusions. Thus, discussion is a good, entertaining and healthy. :)

FUCK NO! "I'm not a Goff hater" my ass

@Ewe83 LOL. You are correct. I do not hate Goff for any reason, personal or professional.

Can you answer me one question though, without emotion?
Of Wilson and Goff, who do you think is the better QB?

Well Brian I just don't believe you, sorry

I think they're probably about equal

All of you wanting to trade Goff are ridiculous, you must have short memories on how snake bit we were at QB for YEARS. My God, I can't even imagine having this mentality to see what a great talented QB we have and take him for granted the way you jokers do..Oh and if you got your wish and we had Wilson, all it would take is a few poor performances from him, cause he has them, all the time, and you would be talking about trading him too.
