I don’t want more replays, especially on judgment calls. I do want simpler rules and consistent calls. But they will also be human, and will also make mistakes.
Why allow a review on some things, but not others?
It makes no sense.

I get that, I don’t think it was roughing the passer. I thought that horse collar tackles were illegal and therefore penalized. If an RB or WR get horse collared, don’t they throw a flag? The rationale, I think, is that when the QB is in the pocket, he's not running. A horse collar tackle, as you know, can cause serious injury when you use it on a guy who's on the move. That said, I don't think Goff was still in the pocket.
Why is it more replays? Let the coaches use what replay challenges they already are allotted. Same amount. If they use them up and can’t review a call like that, that’s on themI don’t want more replays, especially on judgment calls. I do want simpler rules and consistent calls.
Jared’s helmet mysteriously implodes just before kickoff and Mannion’s helmet suddenly has problems as well. Hmmmmm....
The Saints are allowed to blast music at full tilt while plays are being called. If fans do the deed, fine. But to hand the home team an electronic advantage is a huge disparity of “fair play.”
So.....riddle me this. One or two blown calls vs an entire quarter of unfair competitive advantage...which one is more egregious?

I wasn't talking about roughing either. I was trying to explain (what I feel is) the rationale behind excluding QBs from that rule if they're still in the pocket. As it stands, it's not illegal to horse-collar a QB while he's moving around (or stationary) in the pocket - for whatever reason.I get that, I don’t think it was roughing the passer. The only play I can understand not allowing a review on is when the ref blows the play dead.
Would have loved a review on the missed face mask that would have given 1st and goal from the 1.

Right, sorry for the wording error on my part. Horse Collar tackles are allowed on QBs in the pocket. Which I found amazing.

ARTICLE 15. HORSE-COLLAR TACKLE
No player shall grab the inside collar of the back or the side of the shoulder pads or jersey, or grab the jersey at the name plate or above, and pull the runner toward the ground. This does not apply to a runner who is in the tackle box or to a quarterback who is in the pocket.
Goff
Cooks was bad too but they scored a TD on that possession anyway. The Goff miss was huge as it would have eaten clock and they likely would have had a 4 point lead.Cooks was very quickly grabbed on that deep catch too.

I thought maybe it was Higbee...
You guys had a chance after week 9 to get homefield advantage (remember, we lost to Dallas).
Your confusion is misguided. Good for you guys you get the Saints at your place next year. Maybe you can round up enough fans to have a homefield advantage?
I can remember as a kid in the sixties where the home team would be penalized if the fans were so loud that it interfered with the opponents ability to communicate, in the refs opinion. That was a long time ago. Don't know when they changed the rule, but by the mid-70s it had been scrapped for a while.Don't even get me started on fans who try to shout as loud as they can so the opposing team can't hear themselves, what year did sports cross over into that poor sportsmanship nonsense? 1980s?
Whistles are against league rules and there are pictures of at least 2 fans out there with them - and based on the whistling sounds from the TV, probably a bunch more.
